What should I do???

Well, I've convinced myself that we need to buy even though we've never stayed at or even toured any of the DVC resorts. We love Disney and love the deluxes and I want to buy!! Here's some info on us:

Our traveling family includes me and dh, son and daughter, both 5, and sometimes my mom, age 79.

A typical trip would include 2-3 visits to MK and 1-2 to Epcot and 1 each to AK and MGM.

Kids love to swim, but they're still learning.

We will probably buy resale and we're looking at BCV, BWV and WLV.

What would you choose if you were me? The BWV seems to have the lowest per point prices. Would we be happy there? The BCV is probably #1 for me because of the pool, but I don't know if that justifies the cost difference. (I know we could make reservations at any of the DVC resort, but I have also heard advice to buy where you want to stay.)

We bought at SSR even though we'd never even seen it and really didn't plan to stay there any time soon - but DVC was offering a great incentive. I think more important(or at least as important) than buying where you want to stay is the times at which you'll travel. If you want a 1 br during Christmas week every year then yes, buy where you want to stay so you can take advantage of that 11 month window. We want to stay everywhere at one time or another so it didn't really matter to us which resort was our home. Bottom line - no matter what you do you'll LOVE IT!

TIGEFAN.....don't do it!!!! I am now feeling pretty stupid for spending $25,000.00 on DVC because of how great it is. The last 3 times that we have been in this past year has always left me disappointed. I personally think that I am going to bail on this and just cut my losses!

Although I agree with "buying where you want to stay", we bought into SSR because of the length of our contract. I like having all those years to make magical memories!!!!
