What rides have scared/sickened you?

dinosaur scares me to death! my ds8 and I wait at the exit my dh and ds12 ride.
tea cups, star tours, carousel, primevil whirl, all spinnies make me nauseas...

love rollercoasters!

alien encounter scared the begeezers out of me, Stitch was a great replacement.

My ds8 and I favorite ride? TOmorrowland Transit authority..

suprise trip in 4 days... WL check in friday! whoo hoo :cool1:

First let me say I live in Ohio, and we have Cedar Point, so thrill rides have just always been something we did, so what could do me in at Disney...Astro Orbiter. It made me so dizzy I was done for the night. Also Body Wars and the Tea Cups are on my list of things I just cant do again. But Mission Space didnt bother me at all...Weird?

I can do ToT but I'll feel a bit queasy. Not afraid of heights just the up and down makes me a little motion sick but like I said I can still do it.

Mission Space, however, is in a category all on its own. I don't know how I didn't faint when I got off the ride but I would say that I was as close as a person could come to fainting without doing so. I was as white as a ghost. I looked back at my wife and she was almost in tears. For her it was not so much the motion sickness thing but rather being confined in such a small space. We were so disoriented that I left my camera on the ride but fortunately remembered just in time to go back before the next group got on. Like so many others we returned to our hotel (BC) to "recuperate".

We went back later and bought a MS pin which we now proudly display because we felt like we really earned that one...kind of like a badge of courage!

On another note my wife is afraid of the dinosaurs in Dinosaur. No motion sickness or anything like that she is just afraid of the T-rex at the end.

I don't like small enclosed spaces so I have not tried MS. I think the worst ride for me was BodyWars. That just about ruined my day. Nausea that lasted for hours!

What's the lime green mickey??
Sometimes DISer's wear some form of lime green to show they belong to this site. I have heard of people wearing lime green t-shirts,marking their suitcases w/ some sort of lime green, wear ribbons, and going to Homedepot to get the Disney lime green paint chips( which are in the shape of Mickey) , and make some sort of ID out of them. Some where on one of these threads, some one had posted a web-site that sold DIS stuff. Hope this helps! :bounce:

:teeth: The Barnstormer! The first time we rode it I got scared. It took me a few times before my nerve camled down... but I am pro at it now! The last time we went, we rode it 3x in a row!

hmm... lets see i'm scared of rollar coasters so i've never tried space mountain. i'm also to scared to try tower of terror. and i've tried splash mountain in feb. and was quite scared on the big drop. the poster of me on splash mountain know hangs up in my room. but i've been on mission space twice and loved it and is now my favorite ride:confused3. and i've never gotten sick on a WDW ride.

I get motion sickness at the weird things. Like I'll feel sick on a dinky ride at the Jersey shore or in a car, but I'll go on TOT, Primevil Whirl, all of those thrill rides in Disney and it does not bother me.

But if you do get motion sickness, I'd stay away from Primevil Whirl, TOT, and Mission Space (which I would never ride even if someone payed me).

I'm scared/sick of the teacups. I hate spinning rides. I got sick on the Astro Orbiter. :( I was scared of RnRC but after I rode it, I was fine. TOT scares me too, just because I don't like freefalls. But, after it starts dropping, I'm fine!!! I'm gonna ride it again!!!

My kids seem to try really hard to make me sick on the Tea Cups so I've been skipping that the last few years. Last trip, even my hubby said "no way". We just let them go on and spin to their hearts content!

Body wars is another one I avoided after the first time. I think it is the 'sight' of body tissues. Star Tours wasn't my fav, but I could do it OK. Not Body Wars! I was happy to sit it out while everyone else rode.

Hubby said Barnstormer was worse than any big coaster he had ever rode. :rotfl:

The family raft ride at BB! OK! I accused my family of trying to kill me on that one. I mean I can ride coasters that go upside down any speed whatever . I love Splash Mtn. I really thought I was a goner on that family raft ride!!! I know it was me....my first ever water slide ride was terrifying and I've never been on another. My family just kept insisting..."you'll love it...it's great....not scary". My husband was the worst. When we got to the bottom, he said,"OK, now I get it...I'll never ask you to ride another one". My kids had a look of fear in their eyes! They were sure they were about to see their mother die of a heartattack! :rotfl: Yes, they have been agreeable ever since to let me go to DTD while they hit the waterparks!

Ok there isn't any ride at WDW that I've ridden that I would never ride again, but I've never ridden RnR, TOT or Mission Space. This trip I plan to ride RnR for the first time, I hope this doesn't become my first "never to ride again" ride. As for ToT and MS you couldn't pay me enough to try those. :rolleyes1

MISSION SPACE--I got on with my two kids, I could have easily skipped it, but I didn't want them getting on bythemselves. The ride was cool, but I found myself concentrating way too much on my breathing. After the ride I felt weird for about an hour or so. My kids on the otherhand loved it and got on several times more throughout our stay.

Scared: Since nothing really scares me now, I'll go back to what I was scared of the first time I went to Disney when I was 5 - Snow White's Scary Adventure and Pirates of the Caribbean. I HATED them. I hated Snow White because of when the ugly witch pops out and I hated Pirates because of the gun shot noises. I also recall screaming my head off as my dad carried me all the way from the World Showcase to our car because I hated the fireworks (I think it was before Illuminations). I still have issues with fireworks (and lightning too, it's the loud noise + something fire related for me) but I will sit through Illuminations if I positively have to and I do actually really like Wishes.

Sick: The only one that has really made me feel sick was Mission Space the first time I went on it - that was when it was still in previews. They've since turned it down a lot so last time i rode, i was perfectly fine.

"I'll Never Ride This Again!": Well, I'll ride pretty much anything at Disney again but I never want to go on Stitch's Great Escape. I thought Alien Encounter was lame and I don't really care for Stitch so that will probably be a ride I never go on. As far as absolutely hating a ride and never wanting to go on again, that would go to the Dueling Dragons at IoA. I went on one and man was I nauseous! My dad was like "now let's do the other one!" Mom and I said "No thanks, you do it by yourself, we'll go back to Dudley Do-Right!" lol

We rode Mission Space this year and I wouldve loved the ride but the initial take off made me woozy so I dont think I'll be in a hurry to get back on that one. I also dont like the TeaCups.

I will never ride Mission Space again. I wasnt afraid of it and thought it was fun, but it was afterwards that I regretted it. I felt so nasty for a good hour or so, I didnt even want to go on the Maelstrom. I was afraid to go on anything that even moved a little bit. The only time I went on it, I went with my Aunt who loves thrill rides. She told me sometime later that she felt like she was going to die and almost started crying during the ride.

I am scared to try Tower of Terror and RocknRoller Coaster. I always try to muster up the courage to go on, but never do. My kids keep telling me there is nothing to be afraid of. I am also a bit nervous about trying Soarin as well, although I really do want to try that one.

I went on Mission Space and I probably will never go on it again...even though it's supposedly been toned down. I am not afraid of any rides but this one just left me feeling so crappy for a good portion of the day.
We went on Test Track afterward which is extremely tame but we always enjoy it but I was just not into it. All I could think about was "I feel sick, should I eat something? maybe I should eat something? maybe I feel ill because I went on MS with an empty stomach?". We high tailed it to the coffee place and I had half a bagel and still felt awful. :(

My husband won't go on Space Mountain anymore because the last time he rode it he had to sit in the front.

You know what ride sickens me? Stitch's Great Escape. Just the fact that this attraction was approved sickens me!!

Mission: Space...never doing that again. neeeeever. I love Rollercoasters and simulators but this was just nauseating and ridiculous.

and Dinosaur...well, I'm 24 and I still get freaked out at the end of this ride.

Even though I know what's coming, Dinosaur still scares me! Must be sitting in the pitch dark with screaming dinosaurs coming at me that does it. ;)

I think Mission Space is such an amazing ride that even if it leaves me feeling a little queasy, it's completely worth it. Rode it pre- and post-"toning it down," did not get sick either time. Cannot wait to ride it again. :)
