What rides have scared/sickened you?

Is the Stitch ride scarey? I'd like to take my 3 year old dd, but afraid she'd be scared. Is it a ride or a theater? Now that everyone's talking about Mission Space, I don't think we'll be doing that. I don't want to be sick for the whole day. Hopefully we'll get to try some new things!

Mission: Space...never doing that again. neeeeever. I love Rollercoasters and simulators but this was just nauseating and ridiculous.

Same here. NEVER ever again. I can ride rollercoasters that loop 10 times at 60 mph, but Mission Space made me so sick. I wasn't scared, just ill.

Let me start by saying I love roller coasters, but Body Wars made me fell so ill that I almost raised my hand for them to stop the ride. After I had to sit down for about 20 min. Amazingly I felt fine after Mission Space but was in no rush to ride it again. As for you never riding space mountain give it a go I sure you will love it. You'll riding Rockin Roller Coaster in no time.

The only I ride I have ever gotten sick on and vowed to never go on again was Mission Space. I was sick for the whole day..never again, just not worth it. :crazy2:

Stitch is not scary at all - for the EXTREME Stitch fans, definitely go, but if your not a GIANT fan, you're going to be bored to tears. Nothing happens...it's a de-sensitized, pathetic version of Alien Encounter, which I wish hadn't ever been retired.

Two years ago, my DH and I went to WDW and we had completely different experiences. The one ride we went on that made us both a little ill was Body Wars. I'll never do that one again.

I went on Mission: Space by myself and didn't have any problems, but you have to stare ahead and not move your head at all.

The DH had a scary time on TOT. I loved it, but the dropping and shooting you back up again scared him silly.

Mission Space "made me whoozy.." I had to sit down for about 20 minutes. I won't ride again.
I know it's silly; but Dinosaur Scared! I won't ride that one again. I know it's not real.. But I just got scared on it--- My hubby thought that was funny. My 8 yr old daughter and I didn't find it funny..
Everything else is fair game.. :earsgirl:

I call the ride "Die? No, sore."

Granted, the difference is only obvious when you type it out...

Scariest? Hot Seat on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire!! :scared: Sickened? When I bombed out on the 16,000 point question!! :sad1: Got a little cocky!!
Oh well. I feel better now.

I have to admit, Mission Space always scares me a little. I laways wonder if this will be the time that I will actually NEED the little white bag in front of me. That is what worries me the most.

I have been very lucky so far, never needed it and always felt fine afterwards...just wouldn't do it twice in a row.

None of the rides at WDW have really made me 'sick,' (because I avoided them ENTIRELY once I saw what they were about, LOL!)

However, rides that I have ridden (sp?) that terrify me are:

ToT (NEVER again, what was I thinking! )

Rock and Roller coaster (will ride ONE time every other visit, to appease DH and DD)

Splash Mountain (rode that one the last time 3 years ago, never again, I DETEST 'drops.)

Mission:Space.

Never again.

We went on December 20, 2003(my poor daughter, that is her birthday). I don't go on any kind of spinning/teacups ride anymore - had a BAD experience at Myrtle Beach Pavilion a few years back. (Thought that the riders could control the spinning...we could NOT, I was screaming "Let me off!" etc)

Anyway, back to Mission:Space. I followed all the directions to the letter, and was already having a bit of trouble when my screen "shifted" and I knew I was a goner. Was severely nauseous for several hours...the poor CM kept on asking "Do you want me to call the paramedics?" They did find a wheelchair, so I was able to get back to our car without having to walk.

You moms will understand this next bit...all I wanted was some ginger ale and some crackers! Thank God for Ice Station Cool's Krest Ginger Ale!...and those Mickey Pretzels my beloved found.
I also had intermittent episodes of vertigo for about two days afterward.

agnes!

The very first time I rode Space Mountain I was apprehesive because I do get motion sickness but I was okay. Then many, many years later I went again with my DH and told him that it wasn't so bad...well, I was terrified the whole time! Just kept saying "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Didn't get sick but will never ride it again!

yad think with all my phobias ( height spiders dark claustrophobic ect ect ect) i'd have some but evidently my lack of brains cancels out my phobias when it comes to thrill rides

the only one that scares me now is Space mountain( which i loved) since my seat restrain popped up mid ride and i had to literally hold on for dear life last time we went...not sure i will ride that baby again

and how could i forget Tom Sawyer caves the most terrifying piece of property on WDW land... so i do have 2!

"WOW" the seat restraint opened? When was this?
Mission Space= very close to getting sick!
Body Wars= also got me very close to getting sick. Both never again! I am fine with all the other rides except ToT and that is because I am afraid of heights and falling is my worst fear. :scared1:

I usually love rollercoasters and thrill rides, but Dinosaur at AK was scary!! Something about all of those big pointy dinosaur teeth glaring at me in the dark really had me freaked... Never again! :scared:

Jan of 04..i told the cm and they did immediately take the car off...hmm should i have demanded some goodie for my trial????:) wish my brain worked that way sometimes

MS threw my body into a flu-esque feeling frenzie...The last time I rode it was when I was playing on a national team training everyday including speed, endurence & weight traning...boy was I in shape :cloud9: But eck MS made me feel so icky for hours afterwards :maleficen :sad2: :maleficen

Tea Cups! Make me sick to my stomach and I can't ride any spinny rides like that. As for ones I am afraid of, I am a big chicken all around and haven't even tried: all roller coasters(except Space Mountain-no idea why), Splash Mountain, Alien Encounter in its original format, ToT & Mission: Space. I am also afraid to try Soarin' because I get dizzy in UofE when they fly over the water and coal train and Soarin', I imagine, is like amplified by 10.

I am not fond of Dumbo or Magic Carpets because of the heights but I deal with it because my daughter loves them (or probably more that she loves to torture me with them-LOL)

I've never ridden RnR or ToT...Drops bother me. But I pretty much love everything else. It took me a while to get used to Splash Mtn, but on my last trip it really didn't bother me (I sat in the back). We usually skip the teacups too, but just because they are such a basic ride.

A funny thing happened to me a few years ago. I had an alergic reaction to something I ate at Boma. Usually, with these things, I get it out of my system, and about an hour later I feel fine. Most of my family decided to go back to MK after dinner, and I didn't want to waste the night, so I decided to go withthem. I figured the bus ride would give my system time to recover. Well, Walking into the MK I still wasn't quite right, but I figured I could tolerate, oh, It's a Small World. I mean who couldn't tolerate IaSW?
Me - the boat motion nearly made me sick again. So we went further...By the time we got over to Pirates, I felt better again, or so I thought....I nearly lost it again on Pirates - after that, we called it a night.

The next day though, I felt better than ever - very desensitized - and that's when I rode Space Mtn. for the first time! Yippee! Since then, I'm still a whimp, but none of the rides bothers me nearly as much. I even did most of the rides at Universal!

:smooth: My suggestion to newbie's who are whimps like me, is to wait until late in the day, or maybe even waiting until the second day to hit some of the bigger rides. the first time I rode M:S it was our first ride of the trip, and left me feeling somehwat dizzy. The second time, we rode Test Track first, and just that one ride, made a big difference for me.
