What rides have scared/sickened you?

I must admit that 50% of my intention for starting this thread was selfish: I had to know if anyone else is afraid of the same things that I am. So thanx for your responses!

Whenever I go to MGM, I feel like a total loser cuz it seems like EVERYONE in the park except me, can ride Tower of Terror and Rockin' Rollar Coaster. But after reading your responses, I will not feel like a chump when I pass them by!
:cool1:

OH! Thanx to whomever it was who explained the lime green Mickey.
And I forgot to add that Dinosaur scares me too, but I like riding it cuz I know it doesn't SPIN, nor DROPS!

The Tower of Terror scared the whiz out of me. I had never ridden any kind of "falling" ride before. I was 19 when I rode it. I will never get on that one again.

I did not read all of the responses so I don't know if anyone has mentioned the one that made me feel sick.

ASTRO ORBITERS!!!

It's just like Dumbo, you say? Well that's what *I* thought, until I got on there. I could not wait to get off and felt bad for some time after!

And that's about as wild as it gets for me. Cause everything else that MIGHT scare me or make me sick I avoid on my own. :)

I hate to admit it but I am 33 years old and I close my eyes throughout Dinosaur. I think it's a great ride but the T-Rex at the end scares the heck out of me. I can never remember EXACTLY when that part happens so I've decided it's just safer to keep my eyes closed the entire time! I still scream when I hear (and feel) that "roar."

Body Wars turned me thirty shades of green (even with Antivert) and Space Mountain is waaaaay too jerky for my taste. I haven't had the guts to try Mission Space yet. That's all that bothers me.

I swore I would never ride Space Mountain, but at DL in 99 was talked into it....NEVER AGAIN! I was queasy for 3 days.

I will NOT go on ToT, nor RnRC, MS.

I did finally get the nerve up for Test Track and Big Thunder Mountain
those I love!

Rule of thumb - just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should. Example - just because there were no lines at Mission: SPACE doesn't mean you should ride it twice in a row. I was cool the first time, but after walking off and then back on, I thought my lunch was going to reappear. Bad idea!!

I'm also really scared in Dinosaur - I close my eyes too, Disneyvoice. :)

I think Primevel Whirl is the worst ride at WDW.

I guess I read too many "spoiler" threads about Dinosaur before I rode it because I didn't think it was scary.

I didn't LOVE ToT but it was fine. I would ride it again. DS9 HATED it.

We skipped M:S because we were afraid one of us (or ALL of us!) would feel sick. DH thinks he might want to ride it in October but we'll have to see. I don't think I will ride it no matter what DH does.

When we went on the Tea Cups I sat in my own cup and made DH go with DS because DS likes to spin.

We skipped RnRC because DS is small for his age and I was afraid it would whip his head around too much. My friend said her earrings actually poked her in the head enough to draw blood when she rode it, so now I am on the fence about doing it next time.

Astro Orbiter was in rehab in January so none of us have been on it.

I don't care for Mission Space. It made me really sick (head ache and tummy ache).

Star Tours-I was nauseous all day. But I can't handle any "spinning" rides either, like the teacups. Even Dumbo makes me dizzy! :rotfl:

I am described by many as a ride addict, I have to say the only ride that ever scared me a little bit was Alien Encounter - and that was the first time that I rode it... I think I was scared simply because I had no idea what was happening next. After it was over I was ready to go back in again for more! :earseek:

I haven’t yet met a ride (at WDW) that I vowed never to get back on, nor have I ever been sick because of one! (Though after a childhood trip I did threaten to never ride It’s a Small World again, I didn’t hold true to that threat, and the story behind it is a whole other thread! :Pinkbounc ) I guess I challenge Disney to create a ride that gives me one of those experiences... (Hmmmmm - perhaps I’ll find it in Expedition Everest! :confused3 )

Small world.

IT'S TOO FAST, MAKE IT STOP!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!
:rotfl: and just not long enough :bored: !!!!!!

Does anybody remember the old Mr. Toad's Wild Ride? It was in Fantasyland. On our honeymoon in 1992, my DH and I were waiting in line for the Nautilus Submarine ride and we saw all these little kids get off a ride crying and holding on to parents. Well that did it. We just had to see what ride in innocent Fantasyland could terrify so many kids. :scared:
At the end the car crashes and I seem to remember a devil with a pitch fork, like you had died and gone to H**L.

Anyone tried Bonine for any of the "sick" rides? I've heard that it really works wonders and I certainly hope so because I WANT I WANT I WANT to be able to ride SM and ToT without losing my lunch!

I haven't been on these in over 10 years so I'm not sure how they'll affect me now - but I do know that anything spinny (even the carousel) is a no-no!

Everytime I go to MGM I ride the Tower of Terrror. When I get off of the ride I tell my son "Whoa, Mommy's never riding that again!" Fast forward to the next trip and I'm sitting in that darn dropping elevator again! Ugh! :confused3

Wow! I guess it's not only me that feels queasy after Mission Space. Unfortunately DS really loves the ride and DH has said he will never ride it again so I guess I'll be giving it another try. :worried:
