We go in September so we never wait in long lines but for some reason, the only line we ever encounter has been at Space Mountain...I refuse to wait in it.

Disney hyped it up so much that there was no way it was going to live up to expectations, $100 million? I dont what I was expecting, and don't get me wrong I relaly do like Expedition Everest, but there are MANY MANY roller coasters that are 1/10th of that in cost, and are much better.
I also think Stitch is not only overated, its pathetic. It needs to go.
Bring back Alien Encounter!

Everest cost about $100 million. That is just the design and construction costs. That does not include marketing costs. While that seems like a lot it is on par with most major Disney attractions. In fact Mission Space cost a good bit more than Everest.ChrisFL said:They spent $100 million? Was that marketing also? Selling tons of different souveniers of a Yeti that looks nothing like the one on the actual ride?
wow..I'd like to see the cost break-down.

While there are better coasters none of them have a 200-foot mountain, waterfalls, an authentic Nepalese village, a yeti, etc. That is where the money is spent. It takes money to create authentic, richly detailed environments. Thats what makes Everest a "Disney attraction" and not simply another coaster. Themeing makes up the majority of most Disney attractions cost, and at the same time is the exact thing that sets them apart.
