What product do you use for another purpose?

Didn't read all the replies, so maybe this was mentioned. But I use baby wipes to clean stuff! There are so many uses for baby wipes!! Floors, dusting, dirty shoes, countertops, inside my minivan...

My DW makes sandwiches from cat food.

glue stick to temporarily stop pantyhose runs

Head and Shoulders shampoo to wash dog and kill the fleas (before the days of Advantage)

My cousin and I tried the duct tape on our warts and it worked and it hasn't been back. We were told to put clear nail polish on the wart and then wrap it with duct tape. It worked for the both of us and I was so amazed!! It is a great tip.

I use dryer sheets on my hair if my hair is out of control and staticky!! It really takes the static out.

Here in Colorado, there is a recipe for a mix for people to make and put on their lawns. It includes a can of beer, 2 liter bottle of coke, mouthwash, and some other weird things. It really makes your lawn green.

Great thread!!

Some one told this one. Smear shaving foam (the white stuff) on bathroom mirrors before showering and the mirror shouldn't get steamy.

I use baby wiper for everything too!!

Thanks for the great ideas. I'm having fun with this.

I forgot one told to me today. If you golf, put your shoes on and do yard work. The spikes will help airate (sp) the lawn. I don't do this as we don't play golf. Not even PUTT PUTT.

mt2 - great thread - thank you

More for dryer sheets:
I put them under the plastic bag in trash cans and also either under the seat or in the ashtray in the car.

Club Soda is great for taking out stains.

In the winter a large canister or bag of cat litter in the trunk helps add weight and also if you do get stuck - spread it near the tires for traction.

Baking soda mixed with peroxide (tastes bad) to a paste consistancy is great for whitening teeth

Tang run through an empty dishwasher cleans the dishwasher

Thank you everyone for great ideas:wave2:

My "baby" is six years old and I still keep a couple of disposable diapers in the van. Why??? No, he is very in control of his personal functions, just not his drinks. (His brothers aren't always either) A disposable diaper will hold MANY times its weight in sopped up cola spilled from a cup. It will also actually PULL it out of the carpet or seat upholstery.

I guess we could just say "no drinks in the car" but where's the fun in that?

Dear Tide:

I'm writing to say what an excellent product you have! I've used it all through my married life, as my Mom always told me it was the best. Now that I am in my fifties I find it even better! In fact, about a month ago, I spilled some red wine on my new white blouse.

My inconsiderate and uncaring husband started to berate me about how clumsy I was, and; generally started becoming a pain in the neck. One thing led to another and somehow I ended up with a lot of his blood on my white blouse. I tried to get the stain out using a bargain detergent, but it just wouldn't come out.

After a quick trip to the supermarket, I purchased a bottle of liquid Tide with bleach alternative and, to my surprise and satisfaction, all of the stains came out! In fact, the
stains came out so well the detectives who came by yesterday told me that the DNA tests on my blouse were negative and then my attorney called and said that I would no longer be considered a suspect in the disappearance of my husband.

What a relief! Going through menopause is bad enough without being a murder suspect! I thank you, once again, for having such a great product.

Well, gotta go. I have to write a letter to the Hefty bag people.
Thanks for the morning chuckle!!! ;) ;) ;) ;)
