"What Not To Wear" - Show is on again May 29

You hit it dead on! i was a bit uncomfortable with my body shape before the show - something i don't feel as badly about now that i know how to buy clothes that fit. i didn't realize that was such a problem for me.
the experience changed me because i am more educated now on how to purchase clothing that fits me and goes together. i recently went clothes shopping for myself and it was really nice to know what to look for instead of just getting frustrated and giving up after half an hour

I guess that is what I was trying to say. Just about every person on that show makes some comment at the end that they feel better about themself inside as well as on the outside.

Heheh the show's directors really goad you into saying that. I think they asked me "so, you feel much better about yourself now after the makeover, right?" about ten times. i tried to hold out because i didn't want to sound like i thought that a haircut and new outfit would change who i was! of course by the last interview, it was 1AM and i had been running around for 17 hours and who knows what i said :rolleyes1

Glad you updated---and glad they are showing it sooner. :)

I am soooo curious as to what they say about the crocs!

Is your new wardrobe still in tact?

How high is your dry cleaning bill? ;)

it is, aside from a bubblegum-pink H&M shirt that ripped in half the second time i put it on. oh well, i don't care much for pink anyway!
actually, i haven't dry cleaned anything yet! seems that most of the stuff i got was OK to wash regularly. i did visit a cobbler to have some of the shoes stretched though, ouch, some of those heels were painful! :headache:

did they serve you champange as they kept asking you the same question? just kidding

I just put "record WNTW 11/30" on my WDW packing/prep list since we arrive in Orlando on the 30th but I will watch it as soon we return.

How cool for you.

See, that's what I totally need - someone who can show me how I really should be dressing to look my best. I wouldn't even need the free wardrobe you get on the show (not that I'd complain, mind you! :)), but someone knowledgeable that can give me advice tailored to my body type. That is what I really like about this show.

actually for the 'video diary' (the part where you are alone in your hotel room talking to the camera), they suggested that i drink some wine before recording those. i didn't fall for that!

Well, there is a difference between "some" wine and the whole bottle! ;) :rotfl2:

 lol

I got an email from the show's associate producer today saying that the network has changed the date of my show to the much-sooner November 30th! Hooray, I was getting quite impatient waiting for January to come. :hourglass

:woohoo: can't wait! Did you tell them you have groupies waiting popcorn:: :)?

I'm the What Not to Wear poster child. Tie dye, crocs, & jammie pants :hippie: are my regular day to day wardrobe and they can keep their five grand! I've always said that if they showed up, I'd be on the "We Can't Believe They Turned Us Down" episode. :lmao: Seriously! I like my clothes, thanks. and I wish they'd (to quote Stacy) "SHUT UP" about the tie dye thing...that's my livelihood! :rolleyes1

I can't wait to see "your" episode! I'm glad you came through it better!

hi everyone! i must say i got a bit of a scare today when i checked the TLC website and saw that someone else's name was listed for November 30th...maybe they changed the date again :headache: i sent an email to the show's Associate Producer to find out. my parents are having a catered party for their friends (none of whom i have ever even met, by the way! ) when the show airs so i do need to let them know if it changed...AGAIN...
in the meantime, i thought some of you might get a kick out of my friend JC (who you'll see on the show)'s halloween costume:

yes, he's pre-What Not To Wear me

Did you all see the show Friday night? There was a girl, I can't remember where she was from, that had a vintage gray mickey shirt! She cried several times when Stacy and Clinton threatened to take it! They let her keep it! At the end of the show she framed the front and had Stacy and Clinton autograph it! It was so cute!

Subscribing. I love WNTW!

I did see this episode with the Mickey shirt! I admit, I had some tears in my eyes when they wanted her to toss it! :sad1:

When I checked the WNTW site I didn't see anything listed for the 30th:confused3 . Did you figure it all out? Plus, I don't know your first name, so I'd have to guess which one you are!

You mean they wouldn't call her by her proper name, Philadisney??? :rotfl:

Ha! I wish. My name is Kelly. The name currently listed for Nov 30th is Annie. I haven't heard back from the show's AP yet - she's probably trying to figure it out herself!

Just waiting to find out when the show is. I can't wait to watch it. Did you take any of your Disney stuff and did they make you throw it away. I have always warned my friends not to submit me because I will not get rid of any of my Disney clothes. Although I guess that would give me a reason to get new ones.

By the way, I have that same Alice tshirt that your friend is wearing for Halloween (as I am sure most Disers do).
