What kind of sharks are at Dive Quest??

My husband has done the dive twice in past trips and loved it. The sharks are harmless, I remember him saying that you have to keep your hands certain ways around the sharks or they could think you were feeding them. We always arrange dinner at coral reef during his dive so the kids could watch. They loved seeing daddy in the tank.

Speaking of which, I am sure they will tell us in the tour, but how do you know which direction is to the "main tank" and which is the "Coral Reef" (its not like there are road signs or anything..I could always ask the Great Whites, huh?:rotfl:).

They will let you know before you go in. But, you are right, just follow the Great White's, they always go by the Coral Reef to meet and greet Ex family members and friends. Or future meals.:thumbsup2

Divers are friends, not food.:fish:

Good to hear. We are going with friends for the very first time ever and they are not going to tell their 3 kids that we are in the tank..until we swim over and wave.

:lmao::lmao:

I'm glad everyone has enjoyed "poke the shark", although now that I'm typing it again, it sounds like a dirty euphemism. "Hey honey, wanna poke the shark tonight?", "Johnny, stop poking the shark!", "But Mom!!! We just poked sharks, it's nothing serious!". Omg I need to stop...

On a nondirty note, they have managed to get great white sharks into captivity, but they don't do well at all. The aquarium in Atlanta has the largest shark and fish species in the world, the whale shark, which incidentally eat some of the tinest critters in the ocean, krill (swim away!). A shark in captivity managed to have a litter of pups with no males present in the tank but I can't remember what species it was. And if you want to see something crazy, google "goblin shark feeding"

I did this.... It was awesome. And the sharks mind their own business and swim in a pattern. You can figure it out and sit near it and they'll swim right by you.

:lmao:You would have thought, I had learned my lesson with the other comment, but then I read this and it happened again. One of these days I'm going to learn to not drink while DIS'ing.

Remember folks, never drink and Dis.
