Ok, so I'm a nerd. Just out of curiosity, I played with a points calculator to see how many points it would take to "live" at WDW for a year.
For the curious, it appears if you want to live in a grand villa overlooking the MK at BLT, it would take just 48083 points. So to buy into the program at $99/point that would cost just $4,760,217.00 + tax and closing costs. On the plus side, I guess it would cost a lot less to live there each year thereafter until your lease term expired.
So, on the plus side, a cast member living at BLT would have a great commute to work. Also, your utilities and occasional maid service are included. On down side, you'd probably need to ask for one heck of a pay raise to cover your housing expenses.
I wonder, if you stayed long enough, if you'd have voting rights in the Reedy Creek Improvement District.
Anyone else ever look up geeky and probably unobtainable stuff like this?
Be well,
Bob
