Just wondering what adhesive you use for your scrapbooks?

Glue Stick?

Dot Runner?

Tape Runner?

Other?

***And I'm just wondering.....how much adhesvie do you actually put on your pictures or cardstock or whatever? Do you just put a little strip of it in each corner before placing it down on your layout? Or do you put a strip all along the entire length of whatever your glueing down?

I second the ATG as my number one adhesive.

I also use the zig 2 way glue for small pieces and letters.

I use xyron at times, but the glue boogies bother me.

I haven't found a glue stick that works over time.

I have recently starting using scotch quick-dry adhesive -- a white glue with a precision tip -- I use it for paper craft projects - -like making party decorations or boxes and bags. I really like it. It is quick, it works and it doesn't casue the paper to bubble.

For the zig 2 way glue and the scotch stuff, reverse tweezers are a must. Otherwise, my fingers get too sticky with glue.

Another vote for the ATG gun. Also use Zig pens for small pieces. I also like the Glue Glider Pro tape runner.

Tape runner - Creative Memories and glue glider pro

for bulky items - glue dot

light weight liquid - zig pen

heavy weight liquid - Scotts quick drying tacky glue

I used to use the scotch photo squares, thinking that it saved me money. But I now use the Creative Memories tape runner. I use the Xyron too. But I was introduced to Thermo Web Sticky Dots Die-Cut Adhesive. It comes in a pack of 8 sheets and is VERY tacky, and doesn't leave the goobers like the Xyron.

I just switched to the ATG gun. I also use glue dots, the xyron and once in a while a glue stick. I have some tape runners to use up.

I use a decent amount of adhesive - all along at least 2 edges.

for those of you with the ATG gun, does it get heavy to use? have been debating on getting it or not...

I use zig pens, glue dots and xyron and Tombo adhesive runner.

Not at all! I had the same debate for months and took the plunge during the summer and I am really happy with it. Do you know anyone with one that will let you use it for a bit? I did that at a crop which sort of tipped the scales in favor of getting one - I found it well balanced and easy to use.

None of my friends here scrapbook :confused3 silly girls...I guess I will have to break down and get one with my next Mikes coupon, get tired of refilling my little one esp when doing swaps, I went through so many refills.

I use CM photo splits loads - I use 5 to stick a 12x12 sheet of paper to the page, and 3 for a 6/4 photo/mat, 2-3 for other elemetns depending on size. I also have a glue pen - the CM one is too blobby for tiny accents, I use one of those ones which is blue but dries clear, a very fine point. I also have a xyron but I don't use it all the time because I'm too tight to buy refills:rolleyes1:rotfl: I do like it for doing lots of letters though.

For dimensional I use foam squares (CM again) and I have micro glue dots for things like buttons and skittles. For layering swap pieces I mostly use double-sided tape - Butterfly generally is best value ehre and in a range of widths.

I've had my ATG for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I hadn't gotten one previously because I thought it was too big and would get too heavy. When Michaels got the pink one in and I saw it in person, I was hooked. It's not heavy at all and I love that I don't have to refill it as often.

As for other adhesives, I also love Zig glue pens, glue dots, and the Scotch quick dry adhesives.

When gluing down a mat or photo or whatever on my page, I don't put glue all the way along the edges. I just put about 6 strips (probably 1/2 inch to an inch) with a strip in each corner and then 2 in the middle sections.

Love my CM tape runner. I even wrap presents using it. :thumbsup2

Good to know I'm not the only one who does that! I love the CM tape runner! I also really like the 3L tape runner. I like the red one (thin pieces) and the pink one (squares). I use glue dots for certain things and pop dots when I want more of a 3-D effect. I like Martha Stewart craft glue for ribbons and things like that.

Me too! I just got refills on ebay for pretty cheap- box of 24 so that will keep me for a while.

Try Penwa.com too. I go in with some friends and we buy in bulk. I think last time around we split a case of 48 between the 3 of us. Got it dirt cheap too.

ATG gun or the Xyron.

I found a tip about removing the Xyron glue boogers.....someone suggested wadding up a plastic grocery bag and dabbing them off.....it worked for me.

I also use the Tombo permanent adhesive. A friend buys in bulk from a wholesaler, so I get the refills for about $2 each (which is good, since I use alot of it). I think I have 36 refills at home right now - maybe a year's supply.

It's always great to find a good deal on the re-fills.

I get my ATG refills for $1.54 at Findtape.com.
