What is your Disney Collection?

My collection is ornaments and DVDs

I have started a collection of every different kind of Minnie Mouse plush that I can find at WDW

In addition to pins (I collect, not so much trade), some Disney collections that I have going on are the PVC figurines and Christmas ornaments.

We also collect the pins, and keep our favorite ones in a case.

We have quite a few ornaments.

I have some Disney Halycon Days porclein (sp?) boxes.

We have some prints, but lately we have been buying the paintings. Our newest is the Thomas Kinkade of the Castle. It is absolutely beautiful!!!

I collect Disney Villains and any Disney things that have a mid-evil flair or fairies. I have the fancy dolls of Maleficent, the Wicked Queen, Cruella and Ursula. I have plush of Mickey as Captain Hook, Minnie as the Wicked Queen, Goofy as Cherborg, etc. I also have plush of the Fairy Godmother, fairies from Sleeping Beauty, Maleficent Dragon, Minnie as Tink, etc. I also collect the Jim Shore statues of the Villains, Halloween, etc.

I guess I have this underlying wicked streak, but I just love villains and anything magical.

I collect beer steins and mugs, and have several Disney items in my collection. (For info: a beer stein has a lid, and a beer mug has no lid.)

My favorites are the three character steins made in Brazil by Caramarte: Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. There were plans to make more of these steins, but I am told that "Mother's Against Drunk Driving" (MADD) protested the making of these steins because they thought seeing them might cause children to drink beer. Production was halted during the making of the third of the series, Goofy, before very many were made, causing that particular stein to now be more of a collector's item than the first two.

In any case, those three Disney steins, are among my favorites, which at this time numbers over 600 steins and mugs.

Have several:
Tower of Terror
Art cells/prints
AK pins
and because I do Water Therapy 3x week, a collection
of Disney beach towels

My collecting passions have evolved over the years. I have snowglobes, cels, LOTS of ornaments, Disney Classics figurines, books, watches, jewelry (mostly the cheap-ish stuff from World of Disney. I like the sterling charms you can buy for <$20 and put on your own chain. I have Pluto, Jiminy, Cruella, Steamboat WIllie and a regular Mickey). DH likes the plush toys dressed in Norwegian gear from Epcot, so we have some of those and plan to get more. I'm sure there's more that I'm not thinking of! We've already planned out some of the new souvenirs we're going to buy on our next trip to WDW! We always spend way too much money....

I have two collections:

One of Disney DVD's - I sometimes will buy the movie before having ever seen it

I also have a small but growing collection of Disney Character plushes. I am currently working on the Winnie the Pooh characters and the Seven dwarfs - which have been very hard to find.

I don't do pin trading, but I do have a nice collection of pins that I love.
I pretty much only get WDW related pins....favorite resort pins, favorite attraction pins, special event pins. I love pins that have the castle and ones that say Walt Disney World on them or the year ones 2007, 2008, ect...I try to only get pins that commerate a trip or something special, not just any cute pin I see.

I also collect Disney World coffee mugs. I probably have about 50 or so. I have about 20 out on "display" and rotate them then each day I pick the Disney mug I want to use. I have a few mugs that are just character mugs. Mickey, Tigger, Tinkerbell, ect...but most of mugs are specific to Disney World and the resorts.

I also collect my tourist Mickey plush beanies. Each year I get tourist Mickey for the year. The outfit changes every year and it has the year on his hat or shirt. I have a couple attraction ones too. Rock n Roll Rollercoaster Mickey and Safari Mickey.

We all seem to have something different we collect from Disney. I love to get a scrapbook each year and a picture frame. DH likes Jiminy Cricket figures and DD(4) just got started and already has 3 dresses and we get an ornament for the tree. However I think we are going to start collecting the Miniature park pieces we got the castle last year and it came with all the princesses and princes and my little girl loves it so we are thinking of add the monorail this year and finding a new piece to add each year.

Pins, of course!!

I also have a bunch of stuffed animals...I want to get one of each of the "fab 5"...so far I have Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. I also have safari Minnie, Pooh, and Eeyore and a couple of those round "cutie" style animals.

Oh yes, and pressed pennies.

over the past nine years have collected over 30 snowglobles (approx 10 from engkish stores)Oh I nearly forget alargr no of pins

I have a lot of Disney collections as well.

I have the Precious Moments
Jim Shore figurines
and some snowglobes too!

I dont have to much of a collection right now of WDW stuff ( unless you count Indiana Jones stuff which I have a TON of) . I am starting up a WDW monorail collection. I want to get all the resorts and different color trains. It will take me some time because some of the pieces are harder to get now and expensive! But its something that makes me feel like I am there , which I love.

I cant spell it correctly offhand but that Orleski ( I know its wrong! lol) stuff is really to drool over .. But sigh... pretty dang pricey as well.

I do do some of my rooms in my house with a Disney theme. Right now my bedroom is a mini version of Cinderella's suite. If only my room was that large. Its the smallest one in the house but it still gives that thought of Disney.

I wonder if the new Disney store now will get in more housewares? I hope so!

Don't really have all that much . . .

1) I have five original Disney cells (valued from $9,000 to $13,000 ea)
. . . (3) from Snow White
. . . (1) from Sleeping Beauty
. . . (1) from Bambi
2) Monorail train set for the Christmas Tree
3) Four Disney wrist watches and one Disney pocket watch, but used almost daily
4) Disney sticker on the Harley
5) A collection of Disney books and "coffee table" books

Our family room has become our Disney shrine. I collect snowglobes. As of today, 5/25/08, I have 82 and they are all on display. I love that room.

I also collect christmas ornaments, kitchen accessories (teapot, silverware, napkin holder, etc...), mugs from the resorts, pressed pennies and anything Disney on DVD.

I collect the paintings of the resorts that are sold in the resort giftshops.
