What is the WORST snack or meal you've ever had at DL?

Fantasmic Dining Package dinner at the River Belle Terrace and there is not a close second place.

I did this once, and while I didn't hate it, I was amused at their take on "Southern food." It was all very sweet. We joke that everything we make has a pound of butter and a pound of sugar, but that's just hyperbole - it's really only a half-pound of each! 😁 I had a chicken sandwich with some sweet slaw and barbecue sauce, veggies which were fine, and beans that were sweeter than the desert! I mean, they wer sugar-beans! That said, I really enjoyed the desert, which was semi-sweet, with some spicy chilli integrated too (it was that old dome with the dragon on it). I certainly didn't hate the meal of anything, but I probably would have dialed back the sweetness a little bit.

That "gray stuff" thing at Red Rose Tavern. I really wanted to like it and was excited.........nope....never again !!!! I think it was crisco dyed gray.
Agree about Lucky Fortune. I think it was also the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl...... lousy...
sooo sweet and just a weird texture! As we were sharing ours and trying to like it, my niece pointed out a person eat 3 in the time it took us to try and finish ours. The cake was nice just the gray stuff was...YUCK!

The "shawarma" in Avenger's Campus.
Really? My daughter and I had the plant-based breakfast one multiple times on our last trip; we loved it! Not that it was by any means authentic, but it was our favorite thing to get for breakfast. I think it was the spicy maple syrup that did it for me. Never had the chicken one.

Yep! The fact that it was so inauthentic was definitely a big part of it for me. Haven't been willing to give them a second chance, especially at $15 a pop. (And I haven't even looked at the breakfast one, so maybe I'll give that a try. I do weirdly love the Felucian Kefta at Docking Bay 7!)

The mobile order avacado toast from Craftsman Grill. I had this dish in Feb 2020 twice! It was so good. But I didn’t mobile order it. All through Covid I raved about it to my husband who wasn’t with us. I couldn’t wait to get back and have it again. We go back Memorial Day weekend 2021. But being from AZ we were too germy to go into the park (remember that, haha). We had points to burn and did a staycation. We were not too germy for the beach or the traveling Disney archives exhibit that was excellent. Anyway. We mobile ordered breakfast including the dreamed about avacado toast. It came in a styrofoam to go container. The toast was just stacked in there with the smallest amount of avacado and the eggs were over hard. It was so awful. I’m not even a dramatic person and I was so deeply disappointed. My husband went and got me another one, which was better but still not the avacado toast of my dreams. I have actually ordered it again and it was almost as good…. But man was it bad that morning. Never mobile order!

Similarly I once a wonderful hot dog at award weiners. The next time… the bun was stale and the hot dog was cold. It was so bad I’ve never returned! I should try again. That was like 15 years ago, lol.

Oh my gosh, I agree! I truly do not understand the massive appeal of this treat because it was just sooooooo gross to me. And I LOVE frosting! But this was oily and just had a very artificial flavor. Yuck!

The worst for us was this rainbow colored popcorn they offered at the popcorn stands during a run of the Main Street Electrical Parade. It tasted like chemicals. It was so awful. My son and I each had one threw it away. 🤢

On two separate occasions, two members of my family got physically sick 🤮 from the corn dogs. Never again.

Worst meal was a Blue Bayou. It was our Anniversary dinner. We made our seating time EARLY. Got seated. Our server came and took our drink orders. Gave us a paired down menu. We made our selections, and CONFIRMED WITH HER that they had our allergies on the reservation. She confirmed, and verbally verified. She said she would sub some chicken for the lobster tail (we're both deathly allergic). We agreed, and she departed. She brought our plates out about 43 mins after we ordered. Lo and behold, big lobster tail on both of our plates. She took them back and said she'd fix it. 37 mins later, still waiting, so I found the manager. The place was emptying out, because we had been waiting so long. Employees were literally grabbing their backpacks and leaving. The manager said she'd find out what was going on and come let us know. She never showed back up, and I watched her spying on us from around the corner. After 1.5 hours of being seated there, and still no food, I informed the server to cancel the orders, and that we would like a refund. She said they weren't charging us, and asked if we wanted dessert. I just looked at her in disbelief. We left, and noticed that the park was pretty much empty. Yes, they had closed down for the evening. So we made our way to the front of the park, where I stopped in to leave some feedback for the manager. We departed, and went to McDonald's near the hotel, for our anniversary dinner.

Same here, when we went in 2019. The service was terrible and the food was AWFUL. Back then you couldn't order off the regular menu and the options weren't that great.

My daughter had the kids mac n cheese with crudites and none of the vegetables in it were fresh. The celery was actually rotten, it was mushy and disgusting.

The chicken in my sandwich was dry and hard as a rock, my DH's pork sandwich tasted gross and caused stomach issues the next day. Most of the meal was inedible, even the salads were bad. They looked like they'd been sitting in the fridge for 3 days.

Even the desserts were a problem! When the CM took my DD's order she asked for the dragon dessert and he said ok. Fast forward to the end of the meal, my daughter was given a tiny dish of pudding. When I said she ordered the dragon the server said they're for adults only—he didn't mention this when she ordered. DD was so disappointed. The dragon is on all the signs and the menu and looked really cute. I ordered a dragon dessert for myself and traded with her. I ended up having the pudding but it had bacon sprinkled all over it. I like bacon just as much as the next person but not cold, hard bacon on top of pudding.

An incident like that would be disappointing anywhere, but especially when you're paying over $300 and left without having eaten dinner.

(When we did the RBT Fantasmic package a few years later the meal was great and they let us order off the regular menu.)

I’m also deathly allergic to shellfish. This is truly shocking to read. Blue Bayou has always gone out of their way for my allergy. Most of the time the chef comes out and speaks to me personally. Was this recent? Now I’m worried to eat there in the future.
