What is the SCARIEST ride you've been on?

I rode Dinosaur for the first time in August and I think I've seen "Jurasic Park" one-too-many times, because I was terrified of this ride!!! We were in the front row of the car and in the end-of-the-ride photo where the t-rex is coming for you DH is sitting there with his arm stretched across the seat with an expression on his face like "oh, a dinosaur, how interesting" while I'm SCREAMING with my eyes squeezed shut and my hands over my ears!!! :rotfl2: Even the little kids in the back row didn't look as scared! :) I did laugh at myself afterwards, though, and I was just wondereing what rides other DISers consider the scariest? :earseek:

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought I would be alone posting how Dinosaur scares the crap out of me. I'm glad I'm not alone.

I've been on this thing DOZENS of times, so I know all the nuances of this attraction. Even still, the part where the T-Rex jumps out (when they take your picture) just plain frightens me. I have to close my eyes for the last half of this ride. Even still, that doesn't work.

There's something about the theming to Dinosaur. It "sucks you in" to the experience. The low lighting, the smells, the sounds coming from everywhere, the fact that the truck you're in travels at different speeds. It's very realistic.

It's a Small World. All those creepy little dolls and their infernal songs. Like little demons they are.

:rotfl2: I'm right there with you on that one. Nothing can get in my head and haunt me for years like those dolls and that song....shoot, I may have nightmares tonight.

But that's about it at Disney...I don't get truly scared unless I don't feel safe. And there aren't many rides that do that for me. Oddly enough, it is some of the more "tame" rides that scare me. Skyways and Paratrooper rides scare me more than dinosaurs pretending to attack me. I just don't feel safe when I am on them. It's kind of funny actually...I laugh when going through haunted houses, but on a Skyway, I'm a nervous nellie.

The scariest ride for me at WDW was the Alien Encounter (which is now Stitch). I was 25 years old and got on it with my cousin. It was so intense. My cousin looked over at me when it was almost over and I was crying my eyes out! He said "what's wrong?" I said.."It's stepped on me, breathed on me, and spit at me....please tell me it's not going to grab me!" If something would have come out of the seat I would have crapped myself and had a heart attack (in any order...ha!)
When I went to WDW Alien Encounter did not exist. And now that I'm planning a trip, Alien Encounter no longer exists. :( I really would have liked to have experienced that attraction.

Dinosaur at AK is definitely the scariest ride on WDW property. It's a good thing I love being scared! I freak out while the ride is going on, but in the end I'm all laughs!

At Universal, The Mummy is pretty frightening. That's a great ride right there - the special effects are totally rad, and the staff are totally into scaring you before the ride.

I can't remember the name of the park, but it was in Wisconsin Dells and the coaster was called Hades. 1) It's wooden (hello, scary!) and 2) it goes underground. Awesome if you like coasters!

Well being that it's Disney World after all, none of the rides is truly "scary." But the one time we went to Body Wars in Epcot, we were all scared that we'd lose our lunch before it was over! We must have been in a bad spot for it (back row, far left), because it left all of us feeling sick and queasy the rest of the day.

I'm not scared of any of the so-called thrill rides at Disney. I know it sounds weird, but Honey, I Shrunk the Audience absolutely freaked me out! I think it's because I don't particulary care for things touching me, even if I KNOW it's just air, lol.

The Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach. Not only is this the highest water slide around, but it is painful. Yeah, the drop is pretty scary. But you get going so fast that it feels like little daggers are poking you all over your back and legs! The resulting atomic wedgie is kind of scary also. Might actually be fun if you wore a wetsuit.

It cracks me up that so many people are freaked out by Dinosaur! I think my expectations were too high the first time we rode it. Some people were telling us how scary it was, and we ended up thinking it was silly. We had these puzzled looks on our faces when they took our picture. The Extra-Terrorestrial Alien Encounter was way scarier! Too scary for Disneygoers, apparently. I miss that one.

ok well this isn't a ride, but, Honey, I shrunk the audience scares me. I only did it once , and I'll never do it again. I just don't like things touching me in the dark(shut up).

ToT when the elevators doors open!!

I always do this ride every trip (but only once) to say I did it, but won't do it more than once a trip.
