What is the SCARIEST ride you've been on?

Definitely, AstroOrbiter. Partly my fear of heights, partly because the whole time the spaceship I was in wobbled and tipped and made me feel it was going to fall or bend. When we got off, DH said "After that, you could go on SM-it's nothing compared to that!" And he was right-SM was much less scary to me. Dinosaur's fine-as soon as I got on the ride I closed my eyes-didn't open them again til the ride ended. So I don't understand what's to be afraid of! And ToT and MS, I don't know how scary they are-I won't even try them to find out!

For me it was the very beginning of Rock & Roller Coaster. ToT wasn't bad at all... probably because they shut the doors and you feel yourself going up and down but can't see it. R&R was scary at the beginning (G-force thing) but it was also the most fun ride and I can't wait to do it again!

Dinosaur was the scariest ride for me. My family still gets hysterical when they look at the picture they took of us. I was on the side the Dinosaur comes out and I have never screamed so loud or been so scared. Last year, I rode it with my eyes shut.

ToT, but only the time we sat in the front. Thought to myself, and probably told DH, "This is a bad idea!!"
I still get anxious when I ride ToT, but not enough to keep me from riding.

ToT!!! Did it once and will not do it again. I hate that dropping feeling. I screamed all through Dinosaur-twice. But I love it.

i'l do the magnum, rnr, anything.... but you can not make me go into Tom sawyers caves  and might skip sm since my ride bar thing unlatched during the ride last time...not good

I'd like to say Mission Space, but seeing as I chickened out right before entering the doors to the "capsule," I can't.

Does Summit Plummet count as a ride? If so, that's my scariest ride. I did it as kind of a dare to myself (BF had already done it twice), and that initial drop had me screaming, "HOLY MOTHER OF ... !" I was shaking for five minutes after I got to the bottom.

I'm now afaid of Space Mountain....as I'm getting older I just am too afaid of it ...but on the other hand my "favorite" is RnR...just can't explain it but it's the best and I've even riden it 2 times in a row ( 2x in a row is my limit ).

Scary in a "good" way: The Hulk rollercoaster at Universal Islands of Adventure

Scary in a "I won't go on that again" way: Alien Encounter (RIP) in the Magic Kingdom

Dinosaur but not because it was scary. It was just downright awful, in our opinion. We weren't scared but felt our brains were being shaken right out of our heads. We had done the ride our first trip, as a family and skipped it the following year. It had been 4 yrs, so tried it again and will not go on it again. We don't care for anything in DinoLand....too much of a carnival type thing that we can get anywhere.

Now, it's not scary but I hate ToT...just hate feeling sick.

Nothing scary at WDW for me......

Now at Disneyland, the moving cars on the Sun Wheel did me in. I just did not like that sensation at all. I have never been scared on a ride up until that point....I was fine on the stationary cars though.

I also will not ride the swing rides at any amusement park. I didn't mind the Orange Stinger at DL, but I think that is because it is somewhat enclosed. I just do not feel safe on those.

Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure.
I was not scared on this record breaking coaster but yet Dinosaur scares the heck out of me every time! I even have to close my eyes :)

Alien Encounter - hands down! I have a very active imagination. I sat huddled as close to DH as possible, fingers two knuckles keep in my ears, softly sobbing and humming "It's a Small World" to myself. I know why they had restaints on that ride - cause if they didn't I would have BOOKED OUT OF THERE!

I also agree with the caves on Tom Sawyer's Island. They warn you that it's dark - but I still couldn't believe HOW dark and ENCLOSED it was! You could trip and kill yourself in there!

Tower of Terror. I'm afraid of heights, but I still went on it several times. I doubt I'll ever go on it again.

I am a ride wimp. Im too scared to even try to go on Dinosaur!! Those things scare the beejeebers about of me!

I wont also try test track, maelstrom.. and I even find that drop in Pirates just TOO intense!!

Another vote for Astro orbitors.I did try that one..... oooh that was awful!!

Most of Disney rides don't scare me.
I think I was suprised most by the pitch in the astro orbiter.

Medusa in Six flagsoutside Disney.

Okay momerath, your description of the action photo cracked me up because my husband is wearing his sunglasses with the coolest grin on his face in every picture and I look like I'm having a bowel movement! :0)
It's funny though. We rode Dinosaur three times in a row just to get a cool picture of us for the kids. I thought it was horribly loud but not too scary.
Space Mountain hurt DH's back. Now during Rock N' Roller Coaster's first 2.8 seconds, I began to rethink my love for this man who bullied me onto it. After that, I loved it and went again. Mission:Space made us both sick as dogs. I thought we would never "land" on the moon or wherever we were heading (I think I lost consciousness 15 seconds in). That launch was brutal! If there had been an eject button, I would've spoken for my whole team and launched us all into space in a heartbeat. But I must say that it must be Tower of Terror as that is the only ride in all of WDW I wouldn't even get on! My 7 year old was so disappointed in me that I wouldn't get into "that elevator". Yeah, just wait my little one... Anyway DH went by himself and of course looked like Jack Nicholson in the photo! :0)

The Scream Machine in Six Flags, NJ. Hands down. Thinking of myself getting on TOT :cold: does scare me abit. But, I will do it again, and again. I cannot let the rides, conquer me. lol

Oh my gosh! RnRC for sure! I love thrill rides, but I'm not too fond of roller coasters, especially upside-down coasters. A few weeks ago on my last trip, I got peer pressured into it by my two best friends. BIG mistake. As soon as that thing took off, I started screaming and didn't stop. I hated the plunging-headfirst thing, and those corkscrews at the end were the most horrifying feeling I've ever experienced. My ride photo was hilarious! My hands are glued to the restraints, my eyes are bulging out of my head in fear, and my mouth looks like it could give that "Screamer" painting a run for it's money. I've done TOT, Mission Space, Test Track, Space Mountain, Dinosaur, all of the big thrills with no problem. RnRC? Never again!
