What is the definition/rule of the quiet pool?

POP Century's pools are not 24/7. They have hours posted at each and they do enforce them. I am a night owl and a bit of an insomniac. My early morning swim was brought to a quick halt as I was politely but firmly shown the sign at the bowling pin pool. Oh well, I had laundry to do anyway.

Sorry to highjack the thread, but are all Disney pools really open 24/7???

No. Unofficially they are open, as they don't close them off. There are posted hours. Usually midnight. It is on the signs at the pools. As long as everyone is quiet and do not disturb sleeping guests security will leave them in the pool.

If they get roudy and noisey and bother the guests in nearby rooms, call security and they will deal with it.

We had this problem one night at the BCV and security cleared the pool and turned off all the lights.

One of the options is to do what Sammie did and call security. One of my favorite tricks is to take a small child down to the pool and secretly take a Baby Ruth candy bar with you as well. Make sure you talk loud enough to your child so the others can hear and say things like "This is your first time swimming without a swim diaper and we're so proud of you!" Make sure your child is in on the prank as well and let them ad lib a little for effect.

Have the child say after a few moments, Mommy, Daddy, I had an accident and I don't know what to do. This is when you slip the broken Baby Ruth in the water and say: OMG, you pooped in the water, why didn't you tell me you had to go? Then yell over to your husband or wife and announce loudly that we got to get back to the room and clean up (insert child's name) he/she has made a big mess. Then as you're leaving have your mate say: "I told you he/she should have worn a swim diaper, remember the last time?"

Trust me, the pool will clear out quick and you will have a free comedy show at the same time. :teeth:

This is interesting. One evening my son, husband and one other mom and her child were in one of the quiet pools after returning from the park one evening at BCV. There were people also in the hot tub--quite a few, but, I am not sure how many. They had gone to the pool while I did laundry. When I had put the laundry in the machine and was waiting, I went out to the pool area. It was so quiet out there I didn't think there was anyone in the pool and I was wondering which pool the guys were swimming in. I saw the people in the the hot tub, but couldn't here them, either. Then, I spotted my husband and the other woman standing in the middle of the pool whispering to each other. I asked them what had happened, and they told me that security had come by and told them to be quiet. I asked them if they had been noisy, and they said no. Usually my son does alot of splashing, which, of course, you will have if somebody is swimming in the pool, but, he normally doesn't yell or scream, like some kids will do. So, I think that at least at BCV, they must be very vigilent on keeping the quiet pools quiet. One the other hand, we stayed once at All Star Sports, near the pool, which I will never do again. People were being loud in the pool, yelling and screaming at least until midnight, and then they started to wash down the decks about 6am. Interesting. Thereafter, I just made sure my guys got out of the pool by 10pm the latest.
