What is the biggest boo-boo you commit at Disney???

I sleep better with my own pillow and pillow case, yep left it at the resort. I overlooked it because it was almost the same color as the ones in the room. If you bring your own pillow get a bright color pillow case so you won't miss it on the way out.

I always do this..I never go anywhere without my pillow.

Please pay attention to Cast Member's instructions and don't cross ropes or fences. These are generally done or for your safety!

THANK YOU!

I don't care if you can or can't read English and the sign says "Closed" but the fact that there is a rope across the entrance that you climb over or under no matter what part of the world your from should indicate that you shouldn't be entering the line.

And for the ladies. Please do NOT wear just a white shirt to Florida during the summer months unless you have something under it.

Bought a week at AKL Jambo house off of an ebay seller. Watched his auctions for well over a year. Super positive feedback. Purchased in November. Paid for and had several conversations about adding the dining plan in January. He said not a problem. He vanished in January. Our trip was two weeks ago and all did go fine. Never did have the dining plan added since he never called us back or responded to email. Found out a week before our trip he filed for Bankruptcy. I will never purchase timeshare off ebay again.....or probably with anyone unless I know them personally.

One time my mom, my sister, my dad & I went on BTMR together. My mom had put her favorite pair of sunglasses on the front of her shirt since the sun wasn't out anymore. The ride had whipped around a corner & she lost her glasses, never to be seen again.

Same trip: my dad bought some fudge from the bakery & was enjoying it as we were walking towards Tomorrowland. He wanted to do Space Mountain after he finished off the treat. Needless to say he was not feeling to good after the ride x_X

Last trip: I decided I needed to clean out my purse on the TTA, I left my pass on the ride after we got off. As I was leaving a CM came running after me with it. Luckily he was there.

I am sure there is more...

1. July 2008: did all this crazy planning, but didn't bother to get rain ponchos. Got soaked first day at MK in afternoon rain; bought Disney ponchos at POP that night

2. July 2008: didn't have a cover for the stroller...it got soaked in the same rain at MK...but it did dry pretty quickly when the rain stopped

Lessons learned for both of these...in July 2010 when we went, we were ready with ponchos everywhere we went. 2 of the Disney ones from 2008 were still good so we kept them, and I bought 3 others...one was strictly for the stroller. Every time we parked the stroller, we covered it with the poncho just to be sure, even if the sun was shining! ;)

While I was unloading the rental car at CBR, i locked the keys inside. Guest services sent a Disney locksmith over, and within ten minutes had the doors open and keys retrieved. Not only that, but he was (expectedly) courtious and kind, and would not even accept a small gratuity, even though he was out at 3 am. It's that kind of service that keeps drawing people back to Disney, year after year.

Think I've made enough mistakes at the parks to fill quite a few threads here!

This summer, I had a container of glow sticks in my pocket after dinner for the little ones. Container was pretty long and stuck out of my shorts pocket. Getting off the monorail, the container fell out of my pocket without me noticing right away. As soon as i figured it out, i ran back to the monorail door THAT WAS IN THE PROCESS of closing. Without even having the time to say a word to each other, the couple tossed the container to me-fitting out of the opening by inches, just as the door slammed shut!

Amazing act of kindness on their part and happy kids on our side!:yay:

Don't let small child near cell phone clip while looking into manatee tank at seaworld. (It was hubby who did this). Kid hits clip just right...phone bounces....just right....into tank.

Second tip - if cell phone is lost in manatee tank (attendant fished it out but was trash).....explain to cell phone insurance replacement guy what a manatee is first...then use the word 'unrecoverable' so you don't need a police report.

I'm sure I have lots of other blunders but this one is my favorite! It was like 8 years ago too. :)

Getting lost inside WDW numerous times in the same trip. Seriously, I am not bad with directions at all. They call me Jackie GPS cause I'm the reliable one when it comes to getting anywhere. For some reason, and although the signs are pretty darn clear at WDW, I get turned around, get lost, wind up somewhere else... *sighs* I just don't get it.

:confused3

I would have to say that mine, so far, is NOT having a long enough trip to schedule in a down-day or two. My last 2 trips were 6 days & 7 days. I will be at Disney 9 days in September, so maybe I've finally learned? LOL! :)

Never ever ever just try on the silly hats for pictures! It might be fun now, but it won't be fun later. Just ask my son! :sad2:

We have always left the charger to something behind everytime. The cell phone charger on year, the camera charger another year, and the kids nintendo DS charger. We always remind ourselves to make sure we have all the chargers, but some how we still manage to leave on behind :rotfl2: Its our vacation curse :rotfl2:

My biggest Boo Boo at disney had to be my Blisters, they get so horrible in between my big toes that they get to the size of a quater.

On the last trip I went on most of my toes were covered with horrible blisters, and popping them is not fun. :sad1:

Always check your receipts for your dining plan snack credit remainders...sometimes the castmembers get a "little happy" swiping you kttw cards and can accidentally charge you more than once. I realized this once at DHS when the castmember charged me twice for one bottle of water. When I brought this to the castmembers attention, in true Disney fashion she apologized profusely and we corrected the error by me just getting another bottle of water...

Also, make sure if you dont allow your kids to have charging priviledges on your kttw card, you dont accidentally pick up their card to go to the food court and buy extra stuff. Its almost as embarrassing as having your credit/debit card declined...:rotfl:

Not buying annual passes for our first trip. We were back for more within a years time.

Letting DH walk behind me when I have flip-flops on. He gave me what he calls "a flat tire" and sent my shoe sailing off of my foot at onto the Monorail track at TTC. They had to shut down the monorail to get it back. And yes, this was our very first date, and I still married him ;)

Its almost as embarrassing as having your credit/debit card declined...:rotfl:
Which reminds me of another one.

I forgot to call the credit card company and had my first purchase - a bunch of crap at the WL gift shop - turned down.

Another time I forgot to call them and couldn't check in at the Poly until we got it straightened out.

I wasn't embarrassed, but I was annoyed and inconvenienced...and I inconvenienced (and likely annoyed) the scan girl in the shop.

Oopsie.

My biggest mistake I made was bringing brand new shoes with me & wearing them. I only brought those & by the time we were back to the hotel I had blisters on my blisters (at least 4-5 on each foot). We ended up doing a water park & I was excited knowing I didn't have to wear shoes but my goodness I could barely walk. Now we bring mole skin & I make sure that I have shoes that I wore before & extras in case. Lesson learned. :teacher:
