What is must on your Thanksgiving table?

Turkey
Potatoes not mashed
Gravy
Stuffing
Corn
Beans
Any kind of pie!

Turkey
Stuffing
Mashed potatoes
Yams
Turnips
Cranberry sauce. Canned.
Gravy

Then lots of other sides but they can vary

Turkey
Stuffing
Cranberry sauce
Homeade applesauce
Corn Casserole
Squash
Potatoes
Salad (a relative insists on bringing it!)
About a dozen different desserts

I'm so simple...

Turkey
Mashed potatoes
Stuffing
Green beans if veggies are a must (I eat so healthy year round, don't care if I skip veggies on Thanksgiving)
Crescent rolls
Chocolate balls for dessert - don't know the exact recipe, my wife makes them. I know she chops Oreos in the blender, then mixes it with cream cheese. Rolls them into tiny balls. I think she then just buys that chocolate that's supposed to melt when heated, coats the balls with chocolate and puts them in the fridge to cool. I only eat these at the holidays and I'm DYING to get my first one in...I think I'll start a countdown clock until I can have one.

Those are known as oreo bon bons. I make them at Christmas but don't eat them - hate cheese. My daughter asks for the with 1/2 regular and 1/2 mint oreos.

We go to Hershey every year for thanksgiving. my only must is a chocolate martini by the fire at hershey lodge.

Anything BUT turkey. Usually choose an exotic sounding dish we've never had and go for it. Most times, it's something hot and spicy.

Just our little family:
Turkey
bread stuffing (with raisins)
Sweet potatoes
Mashed potatoes
Gravy
Orange jello - 2 types: both with mandarin oranges, one with grated carrot, the other with baby marshmallows
relish tray
cranberry sauce
Hawaiian rolls
pumpkin pie
apple pie

When we had the WHOLE family over for the meal add ons:
Ham
Tofurkey
green salad
3 bean salad
ambrosia
gingerbread cookies

Stuffing/Dressing... yea I don't know which is which, but that stuff is good.
It's my understanding that, while the recipe may be the same for both, if it's cooked inside the turkey - it's "stuffing" (stuffed inside something else to cook). If it's cooked in a cassarole dish - it's "dressing" (a dish served on the side of a main dish).

Turkey
Stuffing
Homemade gravy
Mashed potatoes
Homemade cranberry sauce
Just baked rolls (not homemade)

Turkey
Mashed potatoes
Gravy
Stuffing/dressing

If I can't (or don't feel like) making the above list, we go to plan b.

Order Chinese food. :)
Either way, we enjoy.

Turkey and stuffing for DH, homemade cranberry sauce for me, devilled eggs for older DD, mashed potatoes for younger DD, sweet potato with brown sugar and marshmallows for Niece.

Turkey
Stuffing
Peas
Homemade pies - my step-mother in-law makes about a dozen (12) every year! all different too!

Non-Food items - a solid run and Cowboys football!

We are very non-traditional and for years did homemade pizza. I think this year we are going to do breakfast for dinner. With the big breakfast my favorites are hash browns, an egg/sausage/Bisquik casserole, cinnamon rolls and mimosas :D

Our "must" are the nibblies for football watching -- cheese, pepperoni, chips/dip, brownies and whatever else sounds good!

We call these Oreo balls! A friend makes them. They are so good!

The obligatory turkey but we MUST have a pernil (roast pork and make sure the fat is crispy) and arroz con gandules (rice with pigeon peas).

This is a funny question. I've always complained that I never get to experiment with new foods on Thanksgiving because everybody is so set on maintaining the old favs. They get mad at me if I try to change anything so we stick to the basics; turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes (no marshmallows please), mashed potatoes, green beans, corn...

My best Thanksgiving tip is Bob Evans mashed potatoes. They taste just like homemade, seriously. Heat them in the microwave, put them in a bowl and no one will know the diff.

Dressing. Anything else is fine, but we have to have real baked dressing. (No, stuffing is not the same thing, and no it's not an acceptable compromise. :) )
