What is it like in your city at the moment?

no lockdwon, no essential workers, but most restaurants are closed in Yuma but we just had case number 4, so by middle of april we may find ourselves serious about the situation. For now, no social distanceing.

No, but my dad grew up in Grand Marais, so we have been up in Northern MN alot
We absolutely LOVE Grand Marais and make a trip to the North Shore and stay at Grand Marais at least once a year. They have a terrific pie café on the harbor. A beautiful spot. I always said if we were to move, it would be to Grand Marais:)

Eerie. It’s a ghost town. We’ve been told to shelter in place and then only leave if it’s a life-affirming measure.

I haven’t been out in our town in atleast 2 weeks. I hear it’s closed up.
My own community is quieter and all things closed but we Walkers are walking ... alone

Its really quiet here. They have closed all the parks and trails now as people still aren't getting it. Our government is telling everyone to stay home and only go out if necessary. Yet everyone keeps crowding the parks.

I am in Canberra, Australia. Cafes and restaurants are limited to takeaway meals and drinks. We have just been advised that if we can work from home we should be. As of midnight tonight, all beauty and nail salons will be closed. Food courts are closed. Gyms are closed.

What is it like where you are?
Pretty much the same, though we've been at this a bit longer. Today was a nice spring day here and we went out to do our grocery shopping, banking, and to Lowe's to get potting soil and a BBQ. We noticed many more cars on the road today than the past two weeks, even though NY is now the "hot zone" of virus activity. I think people are tired of being trapped in their homes and are getting out. Though restaurants, most stores, salons, and schools are closed. Lowes was packed- so I guess people are doing things around the house. We live on a busy road, and for a time the traffic died down, but its picking up. I honestly don't know where everyone is going. Maybe to the park, beach, just a drive.

School closures were just extended to April 15 and I'm teaching from home. So, I've been "talking" with my students online. As much as they can drive me nuts, I do miss those kids. I have the feeling we'll be going back later than April 15 though.

Frisco, Texas - shelter in place order. No school, all elearning. All stores closed except for grocery, Walmart, Target, drug stores. Traffic much lighter. People are out walking but no big groups. Restaurants all take out or drive through. I'm impressed with how they are offering meals to go and big meal packages - makes me wish I had money to buy some of them and enjoy some delicious looking food. My gym closing is the biggest bummer. Keeping busy but really miss my family and friends.

I haven’t been out of the house in over a week. It is very quiet. We are under orders to stay home as much as possible and the only places open are essential businesses.

The adjacent county in our metro area has about half of the cases in our state. I fear our metro area will be a hot spot soon. I hope our social distancing we started last week starts to show a lowering of the daily cases.

Today, an emergency alert went out to everyone's cell phone:

483854

Apparently, too many people were out and about last weekend, so the beaches and parks are now closed. This alert was sent out to remind/warn people to stay home. We'll see if it helps.

Ridley Township, PA - The county is on lock down. For myself and most I know we can work from home, so thats good at least. All non-essential businesses are closed, and at least in Delaware County we have had no trouble getting groceries or any vital supplies. I did stock up a little bit.

Parks and hiking trails and things are packed with people, as are Wawa's. I have had shingles, and been home bound for the past month so I have not experienced any sort of cabin fever yet. I actually left the house yesterday (!), and while traffic is diminished, it really only seems down %50. I would have expected more.

So as of now, Southeastern PA seems to be holding steady. We are experiencing an increase in coronavirus cases, so I have a feeling our lockdown will extend well beyond April 6th.

Queens the Epicenter
Pretty quiet.
Roads and markets are quiet not empty.
Everybody trying to keep their distance. By the market and CVS is a 99 cent store, which is open. I cant figure out why a 99 cent store would be essential but it does sell household goods.

Oregon just allowed for self-pumping gas services for the next two weeks.....will this be the end of the "WE ARE OREGONIANS AND WE REFUSE TO BE TAXED AND SUBMIT TO THE TAXING CHORE OF PUMPING OUR OWN GAS" ........what do you expect when the University mascots are a duck and beaver. ...though it is a Disney duck at that !!!

People are still walking outside, it is nice out. Stores are what to be expected. School is closed through end of April which I now think they're unlikely to go back at all since school ends mid May. Restaurants are take-out/drive through only. I was essential but my schedule has finally been reduced. I will return next week but I am re-callable if someone on the current team this week tests positive.

Hard to tell a huge difference really. No place to go in and eat, lot of stores are closed but Wal Mart, Target, HEB, Academy (sports and outdoor store) Hobby Lobby, Home Depot and Lowes all open and doing a booming business. I played golf yesterday but we had to pay through a window, single riders only on carts and the hole inserts were turned upside down and you could not touch the flags to take them out to putt. Liquor stores are open as I bought a bottle of scotch yesterday. We live in a small community outside of Houston. The golf course is a small 9 hole facility in a different county in an extremely rural area. The world out there continues as farmers are planting and tending their cattle and work in the oil field continues. Everyone is taking precautions and I have rubber gloves and sanitizer in my truck and use it every time I get back in. Have been working from home for two weeks and will continue to for at least two weeks more. I work for a large international oil company and we have many that work from home already in their normal roles. I work from home a couple of days every other week so I have a study set up as an office and it's easy to work from there so no worries.

I just want this all to end because the one thing I have not done is get to visit with my four month old grandson who is starting to crawl and smiling and laughing so much now.
