We were in WDW 4/28 thru 5/7, and have always enjoyed leaving the resort room TV on channel 19 whenever we're in the room, which is that "What's Happening in the World" info channel that plays really cute instrumental Disney music..........but they changed it!!!!!! Did anyone else notice this? I know it sounds weird, but we've been going every year and this was our 6th trip and it was always the same music and this past trip it had been changed! We were really attached to the "old" music and we were really disappointed when we rushed into the room after check-in and put on channel 19 (for background music while we unpacked) and the music was different. Does anyone know what happened? We used to even leave it playing all night (with the hutch doors closed)....that's how much we loved it!

Wheeler, I'm pretty sure it was there during my January visit, so this must be something new. Can you describe what you "heard" during last month's stay?

I'm curious too?? Are you talking about the Zippedee doo dah music?????? I love that music.

Well, the music was the same basic "style" as the "old" music, in other words, instrumental, almost like lullaby-versions of popular Disney songs.....really cute, it's just that they changed it to all new songs, and we loved the old ones! I really wish I knew the NAMES of these other songs, but I don't. The only one I know for sure is that song from Winnie-the-Pooh, that, "I'mmmm a Pooh Bear..." song, and my kids say that one of the other songs is featured in Lady and the Tramp, as one of the dogs is just puttering around the yard, etc. There's another song that's kind of "twang-y" like country music. There was only about 8 in all, and they just played over and over again in a continuous loop. I have called every conceivable department of WDW and the only person who even had a CLUE what I was talking about was a girl at the information desk at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney Marketplace. She said that she was pretty sure that there WAS a CD of either "resort music" or "instrumental-type, soft music" that was put out in the late 90's, but she hadn't seen that CD around for about 2 years, and didn't know the name of it. I've tried eBay, Amazon.com, you name it. There *IS* a lullaby CD, but it's NOT Disney songs, it's regular lullabies like "Rock-a-Bye-Baby". I finally wrote to that "Ask Dave" from Disney Magazine, but who knows if he'll answer, or if the question will even be chosen for the magazine. There HAS to be someone on these boards that knows the answer to this, or on the CM board, but we can't use that, can we? I would really, really love to get my hands on this music. My kids were just absolutely CRUSHED that it was gone.....they said it makes them "happy" and reminds them of all the happy times we've had at WDW :<

Wheeler, have you tried the "Contact Us" link on the Disney World website? Maybe if you submit your question there, they can forward it along to someone who can give you the scoop. I was told that Disney has a department that does nothing but answer research type of questions. Of course I don't know "how" to contact that department or how "many" people work in it, but maybe you'll get lucky and your question will get forwarded along to them. Let us know what you find out.

Hi Janet2K,
Thanks for your suggestion! I just cut & pasted my posts and e-mailed them to the "Walt Disney World Resorts" department, so I will definately let you know what happens.
