What happened to Aaron and Helene??

I thought that they both looked bad. If I got mad everytime my DH didn't answer me or didn't pay attention to my every word I would have been divorced long ago.

I really don't like Helene, she drove me crazy when she knew that if she was with Aaron that she would have to move to where he lives. She works in a school, he works in the family business and he can't move. They talked about this a lot in the show. Then after the show she said she hoped that Aaron would move to Jersey. What!!! I thought that she was selfish, she talked too much and that laugh. IMHO much worse that Trisha and that baby talk.

As everybody knows, it's really hard to have a long distance romance. If you don't see each other all the time it can lead to big misunderstandings.

Aaron was wierd also with talking about her appearance alot. But IMHO again men are much more concerned with appearance that women. I think that if he had to do it over again he would have changed what he said. But she sounded more like she wanted out of this by picking fights right from the start. Men aren't thrilled being challenged about their feelings all the time. They say something, they say what they mean, they don't want to repeat it all the time. If you give back a ring you better discuss it, not expect someone else to stroke you ego.

And that is my rant. I had to add to the Aaron bashing, I think that Helene should get some also. But Aaron made a bad choice.

I don't like Helene...... I watched the Amazing Race, but it was over a week before the Bachelor so I did watch the final night, and thought sure that Aaron would pick Brooke. She I thought was a much better match for him, and so much more "down to earth and sincere" than Helene.

I too only really watched the final night (for the same reason) but I picked helene over the other girl. kinda funny.

Another thing to think about. Helene is a high school counsellor. How would you like your daughter looking up to the likes of her?

I could understand why Aaron thought Helene was being extremely difficult. However, I could also relate to Helene needing extra assurance. She spent several months unable to see her fiance while she watched him making out with other women on tv. It's pretty much an impossible situation to live through IMO.

I just think Aaron wanted to put her/keep her on a pedestal. I think he just saw her beauty, although he did comment that he liked that she was smart, too. I think once reality set in and he realized she was human, a woman, the pedestal crumbled.

I think Helene was probably insecure about the relationship, but who wouldn't be? Watching him kiss and romance other women on tv, plus I'm sure everywhere they went women were all over him.

As for Trista and Ryan...well, I never saw the first bachelor so don't know her on that. I think Ryan is more in love with her, she is more in love with the spotlight and making up for coming in second last time. Who knows, though, right? But if they are still together 5 years from now I'll eat a plate of broccoli

On to Zora and Evan. I really don't see any love there. My thoughts are that he suspected getting the girl to accept him would result in something either monetary or gift-wise from the show. He picked Zora because she seemed less mercenary and had a better chance of completing it. She may have been thinking the same thing...I know I would.

As for her being a counselor, I liked Helene a lot. She wasn't someone who badmouthed others, she seemed to have integrity to me. I think she seems even tempered and intelligent. So I can't see why I'd object to her!

Okay, I have to go with the Aaron bashing.... Remember, the very first episode of this Bachelor, the whole episode was about how they had chosen Aaron over all the other Bachelor wanna-be's, because he was the most 'sincere'. Yeah, right! I didn't like him right from the get-go. I told DH was looking for a banker/corporate 'trophy wife'..... Somebody to keep on a shelf, but really 'beautiful' when hanging from his arm. Boy, does that ever explain the - All he could mention was how beautiful she was...

Helene's reaction on GMA this morning, after seeing his comments last night, was perfect. About HIM being sincere - she said, basicly, "Yeah, he told me several times, at least twice, on that very last night that he 'loved me', then first thing the next day, before jumping on that airplane and running, he says 'Sorry baby, I have lost feelings for you." Okayyyyyyy....

Oh yeah, also about Aaron having said no use going on being as miserable as the two of them were in the relationship - Helene said basicly - while they were showing footage of the two of them smilling, laughing, making out, etc... " Miserable??? we got along really great together! Miserable??? My family and friends also surely didn't see it that way." So, lets get this straight.... They are happy, in love, he proposes to her. then, only see each other twice, and suddenly poor Aaron is 'miserable' Okayyyyyy????

Also, remember, they have been separated for many weeks... He should have been sending her flowers, calling her every day, etc. She had mentioned how right away the phone calls just tapered off. He was already checking-out of the relationship.

I think Helene was probably pretty well justified in questioning his love and commitment.

Also, I believe that Aaron and Helene were talking about two completely different moments in that bar... When she was walking across the bar, she obviously did turn back and witness something... Not the same thing that Aaron was trying to say to cover his behind.

Also, Aaron broke up with Helene, when leaving for the airport after they got together to view the final episode when it aired. This was when all of the work, and separation, and stress, should have all disappeared. This is when they could start to spend all the time they wanted together, and start to think about their future.... And, this is when Aaron supposedly 'cuts his losses' and jumps on that plane????? Can you imagine how Helene feels, knowing he considerers her a 'Loss'. He is one huge JERK......

If Aaron considers his relationship with Helene to be a 'loss' (banker terms you know.....) and can just 'cut' her right at the time he did, without really ever giving it a chance... Well, I just call it as I see it!

The point of Joe Millionaire was to FIND a girl that would pick him over his money. He did that. Whether or not either had an idea about winning a prize, in unknown to me. But as far as being successfull in finding a girl that he would spend the rest of his life with well, in typical fall in love on tv I don't see that happening.

I wanted to watch the show with Aaron and Helene but missed it. I live a couple of hours north of Springfield, MO and he has been all over the local news here. It seems to me that all he wants is publicity to promote his new restaurant in Springfield. He mentions it every time he gets a chance! My sister lives in Springfield and she said that when the show was on, there were big signs in front of the bank where he is VP announcing "This is where The Bachelor works." He just comes accross as totally insincere to me and just in it for the publicity.
