My take on their interview last night was a bit different.
Yes, he seemed to only be able to talk about how beautiful she was. So what? She doesn't care that he thinks she is beautiful--her heart was broken.
But besides that, I just feel like there was alot of pressure between the ending of the show and when they could really be together. I feel sure that for Helene to have watched the show and see him with the other girls was a lot to bear.
The incident in Toronto seemed like a big misunderstanding (whose story was true I don't know). I think it was premature for her to return the ring to him at that moment. Of course, it was obvious that it was TOO soon for them to even have the ring in the first place! The incident in OK seemed like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation to me also. Having had given my DH his engagement ring back to him (twice

), I remember the egg shellls he walked on to try to know when to ask again. I understood his thoughts of "not putting her on the spot" & could see that she wanted to be asked all over again--not wanting to just see the ring & silently slip it on that weekend.
They may be all wrong for each other but I don't think they have really had a fair chance to find out either. He did seem to fall for her much more freely than she for him. She seemed to either play hard to get or maybe had been hurt in the past and was just protecting her heart. Either way, she needed a lot of assurance that she was the one, the only one. He seemed like the kind who feels like"look I told you once I loved you, do I have to say it everyday?!" LOL I didn't come away thinking he was a jerk. Maybe they are wrong for each other, maybe not. But it seems they will not have the chance to find out. It was hard to watch her hurting so badly.
