What don't you like about WDW? (no flames please!)

nancy,

Yep, they charge for internet. I brought my Mac down last month when I was staying at Boardwalk, and they wanted 9.99 PER DAY. Screw that!

And I must agree with you on the cost factor. I think it's outrageous that a 5 day vacation at Polynesian with tickets but no airfare is more than a trip to hawaii, or a 9 night cruise to the Caribbean.

One from my DH... he wants Mickey to do the wake-up call at the resorts, last time we were there it was a Stitch invasion. He asked the front desk for the "old" recording - they had no idea it had changed.

Bring back Mickey! :smickey:

You know, the entertainment giant that Disney is, you'd think that Disney would have figured out how to allow people a choice of wake-up calls. Something like, press 1 for Mickey, 2 for Stitch, 3 for Cinderella, 4 for Buzz (wouldn't that one be fun?), etc.

There...thats my suggestion for the day!

I'd like to see them ditch their contract with Nescafè and bring in some decent coffee. Doesn't need to be Starbucks (although that would be nice!) but at least find a vendor/partner to provide something better across the board-all resorts, all restaurants, all parks.

I'd love to see a coffee bar in the lobby of every resort that serves regular coffee and specialty coffee drinks.

Right now the only good coffee I'm aware of is at the Kona Cafè at the Polynesian and a few of the country pavilions at Epcot.

LOVE that idea!!! Are you listening, Disney???? :listen:

My only complaint would be price and quality of food.

The only place you can find sweetened tea is at LTT! WDW is located in the South! Everyone in the south drinks sweet tea!!! It is just not the same when you have to add a sweetener.
That's fine as long as they still have unsweetened ice tea available for those who cannot or do not want sweet tea. I hate it when my only choice is water. (Thanks Atlanta Convention Center)

Here's an idea....Let's all randomly e-mail Disney the link to this thread! ;) I agree with everything that's been mentioned.

That it's too hot an humid for me
The prices for the hotels are rather high
You need to make ADRs so many weeks in advance. It's hard to do a last-minute trip
It's so big, the coziness of DL and DLP is nowhere to be found
Fantasmic! at MGM is NOT WORTH THAT NAME!!!!! Really. t isn't. At DL I cry each time because the show touches me. At MGM I cried because it was so awful. It's an insult to everything that is Fantasmic!

I know I have some more :)

For real. Just some simple fresh brewed coffee. My husband doesn't mind the Nescafe, but I make some ADR's at places like Kona and Boma where we can get French presses :) Ahhhhhhhh, nice STRONG coffee :)

What's so different about Fantasmic at MGM?

We honestly didn't care for it! After all the hype, we were so excited to be seeing it. Plus, you have to go through so much crap just to get there -- either waiting an hour or more in advance, or booking dinner, PLUS waiting 1/2 hour or more in advance. We just didn't think it was all that great. After the show, we were talking to a family who had seen it over 20 times because they loved it so much.

Fantasmic! at DL is different? Glad to know that as I am not a fan of the WDW version. It's okay, but I probably won't go see it again.

I'm going to DL this summer or fall so I will have to try it there if it's different.

What's the email I can send this too? I think it'd be great if someone sees some of these suggestions from Disney's biggest fans.

That it is not located in Texas :worried:

That they don't have huge discounts for 'true' Disney fans and DIS members :mickeyjum :donald:

I like the way you think! :thumbsup2
