What don't you like about WDW? (no flames please!)

The only place you can find sweetened tea is at LTT! WDW is located in the South! Everyone in the south drinks sweet tea!!! It is just not the same when you have to add a sweetener.

When I was in WDW last month there was about a 40-something year old pushing her mom in a wheel chair and instead of saying "Excuse me" or go around a crowd she yelled 'LOOK OUT..COMING THROUGH..MOVE OUT OF MY WAY!!!!!!"

I think that's being a little too "handicapped accessible" for me. There's a level of respect that should be shown both ways.

NJ and eclectics, I always disagree with y'all on political threads, but on this we are in agreement -parks should stay open past 8-9pm. I don't always feel like going to WS or DTD either.

Hey, I'm glad we agree on something! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

I totally agree with the idea of a "frequent flyer" program. If not points, at least some small token of my life's devotion to WDW! A fruit basket for every fifth trip???

Also, I plead with the powers that be to place benches at the ASMo bus stop. Bad enough there is no shade to be found, at least give us a place to sit--please!

My complaints that Disney can actually do something about (not rude guests, etc) ;)

- parks closing early some parts of the year

- AK closing early all parts of the year! The first 2 times I went there I didn't see one animal, I don't care about the animals! I wanted to ride things, shop, and see the shows. Shouldn't have anything to do with the animals going to bed.

- The absurd hotel prices and little to show for it. Deluxe should equal deluxe. The hotels are universal put the disney deluxe hotels to shame at a much nicer pricetag.

- Merchandise is getting old. Same stuff everywhere!

- All Princess, all the time. I love Princesses, too, but devoting 2 previously great restaurants to princess stuff is sad (CRT and Akershus)

- The buses need help. We're forking out another $200 this trip just for a rental car because my bloodpressure cannot handle the bus system.

- The water down dirt previously mentioned ("coffee")

- Fridges and coffee makers should be standard in all rooms for the price anyone is paying.

- The internet should be free. Not everyone has a dialup service at home in which they can get a local Orlando number for.

- Signature restaurants should actually enforce the dress code. It's not hard to clean up after a long day at the park to have a nice dinner.

- The bathrooms are rarely clean anymore... I know they are hurting for CMs so perhaps they should look at the reason WHY they can't get people to work for them?

- Better TV options. Yeah, they want people out spending money but when the parks close at 9pm, what else are you going to do? Or when someone is stuck in the room sick? Or while kids are napping? A few additional cable channels and PPV channels really wouldn't hurt.

- I hate Stitch too.

That sounds like I don't enjoy anything - I really do!!! Just could be an ever BETTER place if those things were done LOL ;)

I don't like what a hassle it is to get to the parks.........one reason why I love Disneyland so much is that everything is right there. We walk from the hotel to the parks.....

But other than that I love the World. :)

Did someone say that November is now considered Regular season, not Value anymore? Well that sucks! Then they should extend the park hours!

Here, here!!! We always go in November as the weather is much more to our liking but to quote the 'hated' Universal advert - "Who wants to go to bed at 7 pm?!" :confused3

Much as I love Illuminations, it would be nice to get to spend an evening in MGM or MK from time to time. Last year whilst we were there MK was open until 10 pm the one night and it was packed! :rolleyes1 And AK closes at 5pm at that time of year! I know the anmals need their rest but surely they could keep some of the park open even if they close the Safari ride at 5pm. I didn't know that the 'animals' included those in the Lion King Show, Tough to be a Bug and Dinosaur?!!!!!

Take him home with you next time you're here. PLEASE!

I can't stand him and that freaking chick in the butt ugly clothes that's on those commercials as well.

And then there's the couple that does the ads for the car company--a Caddy dealership maybe? With the dog and the woman who has spent too much having work done. Give me a break.

The commercials for the local businsses around here are pitiful.

guess what..NO MORE SWEET TEA AT LTT! :sad2:

I personally don't drink it very often, even though I make a GALLON a DAY at home for my DH and DD!

They've always been so happy to have it at LTT, and I would usually order it there too, but no more!

The CM we had said that they just couldn't make it fast enough to keep up with the demand, and it was just too much trouble, so it is now gone!

He also made reference to it being really messy to fix. :confused3

They did away with the wonderful rolls with the sweet honey butter too! :sad2:

Yes! Add that to my list of what I don't like about WDW. However, last time we were there we asked for the rolls and butter and sure enough, they brought them out. Its been awhile since we've been there though, so I don't know if you can still request this. More Disney cost cutting I guess.

What they have now are just the standard hard dinner rolls with regular butter.

Our waiter, who really spent a lot of time talking with us, told us that it's part of a park and resort wide plan to change things like this to standard staples.

For instance, the SAME rolls in EVERY restaurant!
He said it would make things easier to order all the same from one supplier for all locations :confused3

He also indicated that they wanted to go in a "simpler" direction. :confused3

I really hope he was wrong, but he really seemed to know what he was talking about. He's been there for years, and doesn't like the changes either.

.

Well if thats the case, then it should be the old soft rolls with the honey butter. Delicious!

-CRT having a charachter meal at B, L, and D. I wish that either lunch or dinner would be non-charachter or both.
-People who smoke in non designated smoking areas
-That all of the deluxe resorts share busses (excpet WL). I don't want to pay deluxe resort prices to have to share a bus with another resort.
-More counter service variety at MK, E(FW), and MGM....I love Flame Tree and Tusker at AK so something more along the lines of those.
-MGM could use some love and tender care...LMA did nothing for me.

the parks don't have a refillable mug program with the exception of AK. Universal, Seaworld and Busch Gardens do and it's a big thorn in my side. $1.29 refills of soda, $1.00 more for the greatest things...Icee's. this time of year it's great because they give you free refills of ice water. no $2.50 bottles of Dasani. BG and SW even have AP holder mugs so the refills are only 99 cents.

and the AP benefits for WDW are squat when compared to the other parks.

You can get a free cup of icewater at any counter service restaurant at WDW.
