What specific reservations do you make when the reservations open up? I know there are many.. but i was looking for personal recommendations

If you are talking dining, then I do all of my reservations at 180 days.
If I only could do a couple then Hoop Dee Doo Revue and Be Our Guest would be my primary ones.
It is hard to get into BOG and HDDR tables used to be assigned as to when you made your reservation. (by category of course)
I usually don't have any trouble getting into anyplace if my times are flexible, but, like I said, I usually book everything at 180 days out. (I'm a planner)

For this trip, I made sure to reserve the following at 180 plus 10 days, 6 am:

Be Our Guest
Cinderella's Royal Table
Le Cellier
California Grill
Ohana
Chef Mickey's

I made most of our other reservations at the same time, but those were the ones I knew I needed to get done ASAP.

Is be our guest for dinner? What is special about it? I see lots of references to booking it

Be Our Guest serves lunch and dinner. However, at lunch it is a quick service and you cannot make reservations, though you can arrange a FP+. At dinner it is a full service sit down restaurant.

It is arguably the hardest reservation to get at the moment. It is new, with amazing details, and it has wine and beer on the menu at dinner (a first for MK, no doubt adding to the appeal ;)).

Hope this helps!

That list is similar to what we'd book at 180 days. :thumbsup2

First before all others this time around was Wishes Fireworks Desert Party - sooooo hard to get. Then BOG dinner, 50s Primetime dinner, Ohana breakfast, And Crystal Palace breakfast - before MK opens ;)

Got them all!! First time in my past 5 visits I've been able to get Wishes Dessert Party! I'm over the moon to have gotten it :)

Dining wise, we booked everything at 180 (+10) days out. But specifically, we wanted to make sure we got Be Out Guest, California Grill, Cinderella's Royal Table and Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.

Activity wise, we also booked the fireworks specialty cruise at 180 days out. And, we would have booked the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party but there's a chance MNSSHP will be on, so we're waiting to see!

Be Our Guest (which I could only get on the 7th and final night of our stay!!), O'hana, and Akershus pre-park opening. The rest I added as time permitted - Tusker House lunch, Coral Reef, 1900 PF, Raglan Rd.

I almost never even have my trip booked at 180 days out, but my priorities would be BOG and Tusker House. I've never really had trouble getting resies at anywhere except BOG, but for Tusker I want one as early as possible, and those seem to fill up.

All of them! I booked this trip at 170 days and was able to get very little of what I wanted. I got nearly half the restaurants I wanted, but only at obscure times (dinners at 8:0-9:05pm and breakfasts at 10:00-10:45am). We are going in early May, so while it's not top crowds, I think it's going to be busier than I anticipated this time around.

I booked the following at 180 days:

-Be Our Guest
-Ohana
-Chef Mickey's
-Crystal Palace
-Via Napoli
-Hoop Dee Doo Revue
-Tusker House

I am ready to book our ADR's on May 5th for our Nov 1st arrival!!:cool1:

Ohana for dinner ( want to eat a bit earlier-Too much food for late dining)

Cinderella Round table Breakfast- ( I have seen it still open weeks out, but we want a specific time so I will book at 180 days) We like to be in the park before it officially opens!!:goodvibes

BOG-Trying to get a dinner reservation...Had to give mine up last year because they added the 24 hour day and I had too tweak my plans.

I will probably go ahead an book Via Napoli at Epcot just because I can!!

Good luck and have fun with the bookings.....:thumbsup2

All depends on where we will be. I do not let ADRs dictate my trip or put me in non-recommended parks or locations.

Once we get our schedule, we can find something we like anywhere (whether it be resort or park). So, we just make everything what we want at 180 days. Sometimes it is hard to get stuff and others, not so much.

I couldn't even get Be Our Guest dinner reservations at 180 days and 7 hours out from day of arrival. I couldn't get it for any of the days during our stay initially. I kept trying for oh, 3-4 weeks after that and eventually lucked out.

I didn't know about the 180 + 10 days thing until recently (still not sure how that would have worked), so I planned the dates I wanted for the ADRs and booked each one 180 days before the date we picked.

Be Our Guest was a big one for us, as was Crystal Palace and 'Ohana (breakfast and dinner).

I still don't know what the 180 + 10 days thing is. Is it you get to book 180 days out from your date of arrival for up to 10 more days during your stay? I'm not even sure if I'm wording that right lol.

Yep! That's just about it.

It doesn't mean you can book 190 days in advance (as Disney sometimes say) as such. But, say you were due to check in on the 1st of the month, you could make reservations for the first day of your holiday, plus the ten subsequent days.

So, I check in on the 22nd of August, the date from when I could make my 180 day advance reservations was the 23rd of February. On the 23rd of February, I could book for the 22nd of August, plus 10 days.

I booked all my ADRs around the 180 day mark:

Biergarten
Chef Mickeys
Ohana (dinner)
Be Our Guest
Sci Fi Dine In

For Be Our Guest, the best time I got for dinner was 8:20pm.
