What do you miss most at WDW?

I miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and River Country.

I miss a few things from each of the older parks:
MK Mr. Toad, 20,000leagues, Diamond Horseshoe (when they served lunch), and the old Tiki Birds
MGM The view without the "hat" in the way, and Hunchback
Epcot The old Figment ride and Dreamfinder, Horizens and The Oddessy--what a huge waste of space!
I miss Chef Mickey's when it was at the Marketplace.

Superstar Television at MGM: don't know why they couldn't have just changes some of the scenes--it was always a lot of fun.

Hunchback show at MGM

Horizons

El Pirata counter service at MK: it may not be gone, but it hasn't been open when I've been there in quite a while.

The Jungle Book show at AK: this was a very entertaining stage show in the Disney tradition. Seems it was only there the first year the park opened-replace by Tarzan!

Here's another vote for World of Motion - it was my favorite attraction at Epcot! It had such a "World's Fair" feel to it. I'll also miss Horizons, Journey into the Imagination, Mr. Toad, the Skyway, If You Had Wings.....

We haven't been since 1997 and there have been too many changes to count. We're heading back for our 25th the 1st week in November and dh, who doesn't read these boards, is in for a complete shock!

well i agree with most already mentioned... Journey into imagination .. i love figment i cant believe its gone.....the old tiki room ( dont like the new one at all) i miss 20k leagues , i also miss the tomorrows child music in the golf ball....mr.toad.. i am amazed that its gone.

I miss Mr Toad's Wild Ride probably more than any other attraction!

I also miss "If You Had Wings." I know that this really dates me, but it was such a cool ride. Not that I don't like Buzz Lightyear... it is awesome!


20,000 Leagues Under the Sea never was a huge "must see", but I do wish that they could do something with the "pond" left behind.


Also, I am sorry that they no longer have the Hunchback of Notre Dame show at MGM, as I never got the opportunity to see it.

There is nothing in Epcot that I particularly miss, except perhaps the Tapesty parades.. I like the new attractions better, and I think it is a shame that they haven't done more with the Living Seas, since taking out the ride portion. Maybe they will incorporate Nemo at some point!

Have not been to WDW since 1995 but am returning in 2 weeks time. I will miss Alien Encounter, Timekeeper and COP although I hear the last two may be open due to AE shutting down. I will certainly miss the old Pleasure Island though. The days when Fireworks factory was still there and the C&W Club "Neon Armadillo". Now these have all changed to R&B/Soul/Funk/Hip Hop clubs. Looks like City Walk for me during the evenings then. Will also miss Kong at Universal and the Church Street Station complex. I know the last two are nothing to do with Disney but just highlighting how much everything has changed since 1995.

i was so disappointed a few years back when i wanted to take my kids and realized it was gone

i will definatly miss the Tapestry parade
we were there in 2000 and stumbled on it we did not know it was there as we were new to the disney thing

i hope they replace it with something just as spectacular
before i retuen in 12/04

20,000 leagues. I remember going there as a child. I don't remember all the details. But when I think of the trips when I was a kid that is what I remember. Does anyone remember the 3-D movie at one of the parks. Micheal Jackson was in it. I twas kinda stupid but it was the first 3-D movie we ever seen so we thought it was pretty neat. Can I also ask what is COP? Thank you

I will second the old handless epcot sphere...I liked the fact "mickey" was not as obvious since it was a whole different "feel " between MK, MGM and Epcot with out such an "in your face " reference to the mouse.

I'm another 20K Leagues sub lover. I do not understand why they did away with this.

Another favorite of mine that I can at least get at DL is Mr. Toad. A classic Disney dark ride replaced by an inferior (imo) Pooh ride. Couldn't they have found a different location for Pooh? Some other space in Fantasyland somewhere or maybe in Toontown?

The 3-D movie with MJ was Captain EO. It was good for what it was but I'm glad they've come up with much better since then.

And COP is Carousel of Progress. "IT'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW"

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is the ride that I miss most of all, I was heartbroken when they closed that down. It was my favorite ride from when I was 5 till they closed it.

Tapestry of Nations was my favorite parade ever and I miss that very much as well. I still listen to the music ALL the time, though I didn't like the Dreams update of it very much.

I vaguely remember a ride called Journey into Inner Space, I think, that was pretty cool. But I don't remember if it was a DL or WDW attraction, I only remember it from the time I was 5 or 6, and you were shrunk down and passed under this huge eye in showing in the bottom of a microscope. Very "Incredible Journey" feeling to it.

Yes, those of you who miss Mr. Toad need to visit DLR. (Actually, not one of my favorites. Why does Mr. Toad go to hell?)

Also, doesn't DLR still have the "old" Tiki Room?

I think I saw 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea at MK when I was a small child in the early 70's. I was very disappointed when DH and I went back in 1995 and it was closed. But I was happy again when I made it out to DisneyLand in 1998 and was able to see it again.

I think the leftover pond is perfect for an Atlantis ride.

a little off topic but what was where Ae and Buzz are now (the airline one was one I think) glad someone remembered the name Captain EO since my brain couldn't ( can't say i miss any of those but would like to remember the names at least!) I also miss Horizons even if it was a little cheezy

That was a DL attraction. There was never a WDW version.

As for Captain EO, never cared for it. But I do miss the original 3-D movie at that pavillion - Magic Journeys. I also loved the song from the pre-show "Making Memories."

jann1033 - The original occupant of the Buzz space was If You Had Wings, sponsored by Eastern Airlines. It was later replaced by Delta Dreamflight when sponsorship changed.

Where AE now is was formerly Mission to Mars, presented by McDonnell-Douglas.

I was just flipping through a 1981 guide book. I also miss Adventureland Veranda restaurant (near where Dole Whip is now). They had the best barbecue sandwich. I miss the old shops in Liberty Square - silversmith, antiques.
