What brand/kind of food do you feed your cats? I have always liked to buy my cat either Iams or Science Diet dry food and Fancy Feast can food. Just wondering what the majority buys.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

mine will only eat Fancy Feast grilled turkey. If I give him anything else he knocks his food dish over and covers it up with the mat his dishes sit on:rolleyes:

9 Lives, Friskies or Whiskas, but only certain kinds. My cats are very picky. :jester:

My cats aren't picky but I only buy them Iams cat food (usually lamb & rice or seafood & rice). One of my family members switched from whatever they used to use to Iams and noticed a huge difference in the fur and the... umm... stuff in the litterbox ;) I don't give my cats canned food much because it seems to cause them to gain weight when I did that, but if I do it is Iams again.

Science Diet, feline maintenance for my cat. The regular flavor though, I bought a chicken and rice or something once, and the hair fell off her ears. She must've had an allergic reaction to something in it.

As much as I love my Siamese cat, Mushu, I refuse to buy wet cat food. Our vet recommened Iams kitten food and that's what I've stuck with. I buy the adult version for him now, in the orange bag. He gets spring water to drink though, right out of our water cooler! :teeth:

We do give him tiny bits of chicken, eggs, and he loves angelhair pasta. Probably no more than a tablespoon of these items at a time, a couple of times a week.

Eukanuba (sp?) reduced calorie dry food. NEVER canned! NEVER regular calorie. Garfield is one big tabby! (you'd think he really eats lasagna!) He weighs about 18 lbs - that's fine, he just can't gain any more weight.

I'm with you and minniecarousel -- NEVER ANYTHING BUT DRY FOOD! Our vet recommended to NOT get them started on wet food when they were just kittens, and we stuck with that!

Since our one cat, Cinder, had pancreatitis (every time I get pancreatitis -- 2x now -- HE gets it!), we have him on a vet-recommended low calorie, low ash residue, Eukanuba dry food. Our other cat, Ren, eats the same thing.

Cinder is about 25 lbs. and Ren is only about 8 lbs. but they both eat the same thing. The only deviation is we give Ren one deli slice of cut up Butterball turkey each day, right after she has her medicine to help it stay down.

:D

They get the new Science Diet dry food (the one with all the cute little shapes and flavors) and they love that.

I've been alternating between Science Diet canned and Nature's Balance (I think) Ultra, also canned. Alternating because they're picky. They'll scarf up one can of one food really fast for a week or so, then they get tired of it and will hardly touch it again, but if I put down the other type they go for it like crazy again. Normally they say it's not good to switch foods on them like that, but so far I haven't seen any stomach problems in any of the kitties due to switching foods.

Meow Mix - because it's the only thing my Ragdoll will eat. He won't eat any other cat food or people food, not even tuna or shrimp, just Meow Mix.

Iams low calorie...for my fat kitties! ^..^

I occasionally buy them canned food, and again, it is Iams.
Garbage in garbage out.
My three cats do not make the mess my sisters one cat does in the litter pan. She feeds her all kinds of crappy canned food.

I have canned food for them while we are at WDW. My sister will take care of them for us. They will still get dry, but every other day, she can give them the canned stuff.

One cat is skinny, one is tending toward overweight, and the other one is an absolute Garfield. They all are fed the Iams for overweight cats since they eat from each other's bowls. ;)

Eukanuba - all I had to read was "reduced waste" and I was a happy camper! :)

All 4 are on Science Diet C/D because one of them is prone to UTI's. Expensive to feed all 4 when only one needs it.

The cats at the adoption center where I volunteer get Wellness.

Simba eats Purina One Reduced Calorie. He is a fat cat! As a special treat now and then he gets a can of Fancy Feast.

All four are on Science Low Cal-- even as kittens, the vet said it would be okay for them.

We really only have one overweight cat-- the vet recommended we try feeding her canned food as there is supposedly some research that shows cats achieve satiety better with canned food because of the proportion of fat.

So we give her Fancy Feast at night and dry food at the other times we feed them. She looks like she is losing weight. :D

Kit 'n Kaboodle, sometimes Deli Cat, sometimes Meow Mix.

Must look into Eukenuba. Reduced waste, you say?

I do not care how expensive, Boots will not eat anything except Meow Mix. She will lick up the liquid from canned cat food, eat potato chips, and turkey. But as far as cat food goes, Meow Mix it is!

I just recently started feeding Chester Azmira. It's an all-natural pet food that you can only find in Natural Pet Stores. My mom started her dog on it, so I'm trying it on my dog and cat. It's supposed to be alot better for them. It's way more expense than even Iams, so if I don't notice a difference soon, he'll be back on supermarket food.

He also gets a can of Fancy Feast on his birthday and holidays. Otherwise, he's dry food only.

Oh, and of course, he does try his best to mooch off any food we're eating, sometimes he wins.:D

I feed both my Ragdolls Eukanuba dry kitten food and Nutro canned food. I asked my vet if I should wean them off the wet and she said not to for the moisture factor. Hey, as long as they're happy and spoiled (LOL).
