What do you do with backpacks while on rides?

I'm thinking of carrying a backpack or a bag around the parks to hold water and other stuff but I don't know what to do with it while I go on the rides. Is there room on the rides for it or do you have to have someone hold it for you?

You put it under your legs and hold it that way during the ride. Sometimes it gets a bit wet but not a big deal at all.

Allright, sounds good! I don't mind if it gets wet, I just wasn't sure if they allowed you to bring it on with you. Thanks!

I used a large fanny pack and that worked well. If it was too big for the belt on the ride, I would take it off and strap it to my leg for the ride. There are also pockets on some rides for a smaller bag. One year we put our stuff in a locker and just carried around a smaller fanny pack, going back for more water/snacks etc.

I also use a backpack - it's not stuffed full, but it has everything I need, including an umbrella, flip-flops for water rides, a poncho, Pal Mickey, etc. It fits fine on all the rides - things like Test Track it fits near my feet, thigns like peter Pan on the seat next to me. I'm not a thrill rider so I don't know about roller coasters.

Any suggestions for backpacks on Soarin'?

They have a place under the seat where you can put backpacks so you won't have to hold them. I used it for my flip-flops so they wouldn't fall off onto someone below me while soaring :)

I also carry a backpack. It's not a big one though. We got it at Walmart and it's made by Mary Kate & Ashley. I just slipped it under my feet when riding something or had it dangling off one shoulder. We keep snacks and mandatory items (sunblock, bandages, etc) in it. It is so great that I use it for any vacation we go on. The new backpacks are just so darn big...

We put ours wherever there is room for it. Usually on the floor of the ride. It never seems to get in the way and there always seems to be room for it. Debby

We had a fanny pack and a small backpack. There was no problem having them on any of the rides. (I wish mine had had a place to keep a water bottle, though, because it was a pain in the neck to carry one around - I'll know better next time!) Some people with large backpacks at Soarin put them on the floor.

If you have a backpack it's very easy-- put it on "backwards", with the bag on your chest instead of your back. I always carry some type of bag with me and I never had a problem. Most rides have compartments where you can stow it, or I've just held on to it.

Just make sure you do not wear your fanny pack in front of you on rides that require a bar to secure you in your seat. My daddy neglected to remember this rule and I practically almost fell out of the Jurassic Park Ride in Universal Studios California! Well not really fell out, but at that time I was 10 years old and small and it sure felt that way to me! :earseek:

depends on the ride, but sometimes I hold it, put it on the floor of the ride vehicle (pirates, splash), warp a strap on my leg (RNR, TOR), set it on the seat next to me (HM, PP, TTA)...it just depends on the ride.
