What Do You Do With a Nine Pound Lemon?? LINK TO NEW TR!

Oh I forgot to mention something really cute that happened on our last day when we were in the American Adventure watching The Voices of Liberty. At certain points during some songs, they'll come over and talk to the crowd. Well, I don't remember what song she was singing, but this woman came over and sang to this little boy. He was adorable!

And she stopped for a few moments to talk to him and when she asked him where he was from he answered, "I'm from America." It was so cute and the place went nuts! Perfect answer, kid!

Your next trip sounds great! :cool1: I love starting Disney trips in Epcot, everyone loves to start in MK, but I need to be in Epcot that first day! :rotfl: Meeting up with a DIS friend sounds like fun!

I'm starting to get really depressed about not having a Disney trip booked yet! When I got home in October I was fine, because I was already planning our quick December trip, but now I have nothing to plan, since we postponed our May trip! :sad1: I'm pretty sure we have decided to go back the last week of September next year, but I'm going crazy waiting for discounts to come out for that time of year, I'm guessing they won't be out for a couple more months! I just want to book something!!! :rotfl:

I can't wait to hear how you liked the Wild Africa Trek, it looks like so much fun! We like to do different things on each trip too, so I'm going to start looking into tours for our next trip, I really want to do the Epcot Segway tour!

I love starting in Epcot too! Our first few trips we would run straight to the MK, almost like we were obligated to and then one year, we were like, hey what if we to Epcot instead! :lmao:

It is sad when you don't have a trip set in stone but with those APs, at least you know there WILL be another trip!

That's great about the shirt. I know how crazy it was for him. Your day at AK sounds great. I can't wait to go back. We just decided to add two days at Disney before our cruise in July so now I have more planning to do. Oh darn! :goodvibes

Woo Hooo for adding extra days!

YEAH! A PTR!!! I can't believe it is only a month away!! DH said I could book DL for the kids spring break but my cousin (who we were going to visit) unexpectedly passed away last week (she's 23). So I'm not sure if I'll get my Disney fix in March or if I will have to wait it out until July when we go to the world. Very exciting to have a trip so close!!!

Where's the roll eyes emoticon.....ah, :rolleyes1
and another...

I know, crazy right? The men's shirt is really nice so he was happy to have it!

So sorry to hear about your cousin! That is so horrible!!

Ooooh, the Wild Africa Trek looks like so much fun!

I can't wait!

Just realized our next trips overlap. I'll be there Jan 29 - Feb 4. I'll be with my brother who lives about an hour away from WDW and my nephew when he isn't in school. So if you see any of these 3 characters this is me Cathy my brother Tim and my nephew Brady.

Yay for starting your PTR here, can't believe you are exactly one month away today :yay:

Great update, looked like you had a blast in your favourite park (minus the annoying boys) :)

So sorry to hear about your cousin! That is so horrible!!

Thanks. She was a serious Disney fan and lived near Disneyland. She never made it to Disneyworld. DH and I talked about it and we still want to go to DL (even though we won't be seeing her) so we booked the plane tickets last night. We'll just have our moment with an angel instead.:littleangel:

I will definitely keep my eye out for you guys! Look for us too!! Maybe after I post all my plans, you'll see if we are going to ever be at the same place at the same time.

I can't believe it's so soon either! So excited!!

So so sad. I think it will be a nice tribute to her for you to still go. She'll be with you in spirit!

Day 1 ~ Arrival, Epcot, dinner at La Hacienda, Illuminations.

Day 2 ~ Animal Kingdom, Wild Africa Trek, DTD, dinner at Raglan Road and possibly Jellyrolls.

Day 3 ~ February 3, 2011

This morning we are getting up early and heading straight to the Magic Kingdom and starting with Fantasyland, since we barely spent any time there last trip. Going to hit up all the favorites like Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Pooh and definitely Snow White before that closes! I'm thinking we'll probably stop for some breakfast at the Main St. Bakery either before or after. Then we'll probably hit up a little Tomorrowland and then crossing the hub for some Frontierland, Adventureland fun! So many rides that we missed in the MK last time!

Around noon, we'll make our way to Epcot. (Am I being a little ambitious thinking we'll get all of MK done by noon? ;))

We have a 2:00pm lunch ADR for Via Napoli So excited to try that! The rest of the day will be spent in Epcot so hopefully we'll get in some Future World rides before parking positioning ourselves permanently in World Showcase for the rest of the evening! Although it's not the Food and Wine Festival, dinner than night will be snacking around the world. Maybe some "chips" from the UK, pretzel from Germany, chips and guac from Mexico, etc. Epcot has EMH that night too!

OH, and I almost forgot the mention!

My DIS friend Christy (PopArtGal) and I have started a Disney travel blog dedicated to adult-vacationers! It's called "Grown-Up Disney Kids" and if you are interested, you can find it here!Grown-Up Disney Kids!

Will look at this site in a few days - I promise.

But about your new PTR:
love it!!popcorn::

Cant wait to hear more.:goodvibes

P.S.
that encounter inside the rotunda of the American Adventure was just priceless.

So excited you guys started a blog - sweet!

And Nikki- I totally forgot to ask you, but how's the vitamin D thing going? I'm thinking you need a LOT more sunshine - like in Florida :rotfl:

That's awesome that you guys started a blog, I saw the link on FB and never got to check it out. Definitely going to!

All your plans sound awesome. Snacks and drinks around Epcot sounds awesome; I am hoping to do that one day, too!

I will be interested to see yoru review of the Trek. I think it soudns neat but I haven't read that much about it!

I don't think your plan to accomplish all of those rides in MK before noon is too ambitious. We did about just as many in crowded August, so you should be able to do it with the low crowds of February. :)

So cute, right?

Ummm....I guess the vitamin D thing is okay. I'm taking it like I'm supposed to but they didn't want to recheck me for a year so who knows!

WooHooo!!You definitely have to do the snacks and drinks day! Those are the best days!

It's fairly new but fantastic reviews on allears. I'm very excited about it.

Yeah I think it's doable too Mel. You can get so much done in the early morning MK.

Hi Nikki, I'm Amanda :) I'm pretty new to the boards. :) Just read your trip report. It was so awesome. I loved all the pictures! Hope you have a blast in February. Can't wait for THAT TR.

Hi Amanda!! I'm so glad you read my TR and that you commented! Glad you liked all the pics. If you are ever bored, my first TR from July 2009 is in my sig and I think that's my best one! Haha! Do you have any trips planned? You should think about writing a TR too!

Wow, Day 3 sounds...well, long! :rotfl: Up early, MK, then over to Epcot and staying there for EMH? I'm exhausted just thinking about it! There must be something wrong with me, if I even attempted to stay in the parks all day without a break, I'd pass out, I just get so tired mid-afternoon! :sad2:

I think your MK plans are totally do-able, and Epcot is always a fun time! It's kind of weird being there without the Food and Wine festival, I've gotten so used to it now! :)

Good point. Maybe we'll go back to the WL after lunch for some relaxation before heading back to Epcot for EMH!

We're staying at BC on the 2nd and 3rd so will probably spend more time in Epcot those days. I'll be on the lookout for you guys on the 3rd!
