What do you do to kill time before Disney?

Obsessively research, read the DIS, do family movie & dinner nights, make a countdown for our trip.

Live, work, play, mow the grass, enjoy the summer, and dabble a bit here and on other Disney sites. I do still need to book five ADRs, which I find to be sort of a pain. But, hey, it's free dining so I am not complaining.

I do find myself listening to Disney music a little more when a trip is coming up -background music, ride throughs, queue themes, and such.

I have been known to watch youtube ride videos while I am cleaning up the kitchen after dinner. I prop up my kindlefire and get to work!

I've been looking at DISboards and Pinterest. I am dying to tell our son we're going but I want to wait until we're about 2 weeks out so it's easier on him. Getting lots of great ideas for crafts we can do before the trip (Mickey head tie dye shirts, countdown chains, freezer paper stenciling, etc.).

Trying to get work done so I can have a peaceful vacation.

This...I tend to go on a housecleaning reorganization binge! It's awesome and cathartic.

You're looking at it. :)

;)

Go on disboards, plan, go on Disney world website and Disney cruise line website, watch the Disney videos, and listen to Disney music!

Yeah, like everybody doesn't do that? Don't they? Don't they? Please tell me that's normal!

Work, pay bills, take care of household chores, and know that I have a nice vacation coming up in 77 days.

Jealous....you're headed to my home away from home...POR! :worried::worried:

We have about 4 weeks left. Today is my last day of work for the summer...we will take mini trips until then! Catalina, San Diego, and Big Bear. I can't stand the wait...

Definitely planning. And this time I am trying to figure out how we are going to surprise DS. He has no idea we are going for his birthday and we have no idea how or when we are going to tell him.:confused3

Of course I read everything I can on Disboards, look at menus for Disney restaurants, check crowd calendars, look at pictures of our resort, read the thread on our resort, plan, plan, plan!!! :goodvibes

Plan. Meticulously plan. Make it a Science. Theorize on your Science. Use sentence fragments. Dispute your own theories. Ultimately decide that Science isn't for you.

Then the day of departure, make plans to make proper waste of most all of those plans. You know what they say, "The best laid plans of Mouse(Mice) and Men."

Read disney blogs and boards. This year I added following disney bloggers on twitter to my list. I'm not sure if I am going to come across as some creepy stalker though. I have had twitter for a long time but my only tweets now have been responding to a small group of people. I guess my advice if you want to take that up is not to overtweet them because then you might have to share my feeling of wondering if these people think I'm crazy. (while also realizing they probably haven't even noticed me)

I am the same way. We went a couple of years ago with my brother and his family. My wife got so tired of me looking at the boards and trying to figure out where to eat on the dining plan. The day we arrived we ate at Wolfgang Puck Express, then hit the MK. My brother was so proud he was using his snack credit for 20 oz sodas and the "deal" he got. 15 mins later his family, my wife, and kids about died when they seen me coming out of the ice cream shop with my pina colada smoothie. I told them that is my idea of a snack credit, then reminded all of them a little research goes a long way.

I have to add another, since this is what I am doing now (2 more weeks). Decide what I don't need until we go to Disney and throw it in the suitcase. By one week before, my children may have nothing to wear.
