I don't think they will get rid of being able to use them, at least not unless they are releasing MB + 2.0 and even then I think the MB+ will still work, just not have as much functionality.

Maybe they heard you discussing wanting a clock face and are making new MB with a clock face,

I don't really think they will get rid of them...they have too much functionality at other Disney places...I just don't think they will expand that functionality at Disneyland beyond what it already is, therefore, if they needed the bands for the cruise ships, off they would go.

I don't know if they still offer it but when DH and I went to WDW a couple of years ago, they offered us our pick of bands in the package we purchased. Clearly, they want you to use them fully there.

Personally, I just like when they light up for certain things...and tapping inis so much faster...

I am not sure if they still offer them as part of the package or not but they did discontinue any discount when you purchase a package.

That would be nice. I don't understand the reason why there are the difference in functionality between WDW & DL. I assume there would need to be an upgrade to the hardware or something similar. If it was just a software update you'd think that would be an easy fix.

You would think. AFAIK: all the MagicMobile stuff at WDW is NFC-based so I would think all the scanners at Disneyland are ready (the MB+ stuff is NFC-based too). I don’t see why it couldn’t be fixed in software.
