As erionm stated, there is no personal information on the MagicBands. If it makes you feel more at ease, you can always deactivate a MagicBand that is no longer in use. Sign on to My Disney Experience and click on "Manage Bands', then choose the MagicBands you want to deactivate.

Not much to see. Hope we don't have need of it in the future.I wonder if MBs could be stored in the Owner's Locker between visits? That would minimize storage/clutter at home, risk of "forgetting it" in the rush to the airport, etc.
Any pitfalls on that approach?

If you don't get your Owner's Locker until after you are in your room, you might have a bit of a problem. Keep in mind that you can use your MagicBands to get on the Magical Express, and you'd probably need your MagicBands when you check in at the resort and to unlock the door to your villa.

If anyone really wants to get rid of a band you can remove it from My Disney Experience and then destroy it. Just take it out on the sidewalk or wherever and whack it good with a hammer. Primitive but effective, it should destroy the electronics inside of the band, then toss it away.![]()
BillYou have to use them at Magical Express, too? Oh, bummer. That seems like serious overkill. If you don't get your Owner's Locker until after you are in your room, you might have a bit of a problem. Ok - thanks!
bwvBound (wondering how quickly I'm gonna lose this silly idea; refuses to wear it on my wrist ... and guessing it won't fit flat like a creditcard in my pocket ... UGH.)
LOL -- thanks for the creative ideas. Mine is likely to end up at the bottom of a purse somewhere. Most likely, I'll leave mine behind (in the room) and rely on my DH to wear his for room access.I used to wear my watch through a belt loop because I couldn't stand it on my skin. Also possible to hook it through buttonholes, around belt/fannypack or on purse/backpack straps (careful with that one, though).
We have 2 sets and are going to get another soon. We live here and do weekends so the MB pile up fast. I asked a CM about this and they said that each person can receive up to 8 in their life time and they are re-usable. So don't throw it away yet. I keep mine packed in the box they came in.
Now the flash drive about the MB program, that's another story. I have 3 of them cause they keep sending me a new one for each ressie. Geez. I don't need those so I'm going to see if they'll take them back when I go in Jan.
