What did we think of TEEN MOM 2?

Yes second time in a week:sad2:. I don't get the smiling either I would be crying.

I know, right. She needs to be a bad woman's celly, but I think that Jennelle isn't dumb and would con her way out of it.

Now it seems Jennelle has a beef with her former roommate-is this the same one she is on the show moving in with?

I think he feel weed to be honest. Where does Janelle get the money to buy a new car, to post all the bonds and to live by herself as far as I know she doesn't have a job.

If he is, he isn't very good at it. Number 1 rule in drug dealing-do not become your own best customer, no using. And even with that, he is keeping a crazy low profile, lol.

Ok, here is a possible stupid question: but do the guys get paid as well? I mean is Reefer getting paid because he is a part of Jennelle's life as well even though Jace isn't his? kind of like extras get paid to be on a show type deal?

I'd hate to think Reefer is getting paid to act the way he does, like MTV is saying. "hey Reefer good looking out with the arrest could you do it again".lol

Because there is no money in the world unless I come out and say I am acting that I would want to be portrayed like a low life pot smoking, well you get the picture.
Nope. Also not a stupid q. at all. It doesn't work the way 'regular' tv works, which I think most people don't realize or even think about, because, well, why would anyone be thinking about that, heh.

There's no money in trusts for the kids like with scripted television (or movies or etc.), or payment for anyone involved but the girls, unless it's happenstance. Like, when the cameras are filming just Gary and Leah, say, and they go out to eat, the production people likely pay that tab.

However, reality tv is non-union. Union shops are governed by those pay rules - everyone who is on camera is at X pay scale, if you speak, you're at Y pay scale, children get Z and can only be filmed so many hours, etc.

Non-union has none of those rules.

Traditionally, the only people paid on shows like this are 'the storyline' which is the girls. They can do with the money as they see fit, hence I'm sure Janelle doles out to Kiefer, but they're the only ones getting paid.

That's also why there's likely a huge pay disparity, and why MTV will bother with new seasons of this stuff - because the first season people get popular and can demand more money. So they start up a second season, paying those people a pittance (likely like $5,000 total, that's a traditional MTV paycheck) to see if the public likes them, at which point they can dump the expensive crew or cut back on filming the expensive crew to half the time, etc.

The money can't be put in trusts cause Leah bought a house and new car.

Bad decision after bad decision  I guess one baby with health problems isn't enough.

http://www.infdaily.com/2012/01/exc...teen-mom-leah-messer-is-stressed-smoking.html

I actually read that her smoking might confirm that she lost the baby, as rumors have suggested. It could be just that, rumors, just like the twins rumor. But pair in with some vague sad tweets from the girl and her mother, I might not be surprised.

I'm not as invested in this show as I seem, I swear.

I haven't heard this. I tried to google it but the only thing I found it said she was moving up but it didn't said if she was renting or not. But Leah has been in magazines more just the wedding last year , this year divorce, engagement, new baby, etc. I wonder how much they really get pay and what they do with the money. Because I don;t see how Kailyn was able to apply to the program if they do get the money right away. Maybe it is from the money of all the other appearances they seem to be so quiet about this topic. No one has ever said anything.

So I just watched this week's epi …. the whole time Jenelle is planning on moving in with Tori and getting settled … I kept thinking I wonder just exactly how long that will last … and then I saw the previews for next week … :headache: :headache:

In my opinion, Jenelle needs professional help. She has hallmark symptoms of bi-polar disorder. I also think the weed use is her self medicating. I wonder why no one is trying to get her the help she needs? If they are, they aren't showing it.

I don't get the whole Ali delay thing. How come nobody just says that the fact that she's a twin and shared a uterus with her sister during development is the reason she's got issues? Why all the drama and speculation that she's got some genetic disorder or skeletal abnormalities?

I used to like Kailyn, but I'm beginning to think the girl has ZERO communication skills. It was annoying to watch her attitude with Joe when she met him to discuss the child support order. He was trying to keep his cool and give her his thoughts on it and she was acting like a spoiled, deserving, rude brat to him :headache:.

I'm usually not one to chime in but this is not true. While I'm sure some kids have delays bc they are twins, Ali's problems seem more than just that.

Jo is not any better, if not worse in my opinion. In the episode where she filed for support and he is discussing it with his brother, he said having to pay child support will take money away from him pursuing a music career :confused3. Welcome to the real world, children cost money and he should be paying support.

Probably because that isn't the issue. I know many, many twins and Ali's issues are not twin issues. She has something going on and hopefully they can figure it out soon. Honestly, I can't figure out how she has gotten to over a year old (2 now) and no one able to diagnosis her delays.

I must have yelled at the TV ten times - "take that baby for a second opinion!!!" I don't know her situation, maybe there is no children's hospital within driving distance, maybe there's no money for a second opinion, or maybe they just don't realize they can do that. She's very young & might just trust what her doctor is telling her. They may already know what's wrong but are editing it out for ratings. Who knows, but I totally agree - that baby needs another opinion! Surely some childrens hospital somewhere could figure it out or at least come closer to a diagnosis. That letter she got pretty much said we have no clue what's wrong, we know from what we tested things she doesn't have, but we don't know what she does have. See you in a year. A YEAR?!?!?! I hope they figure it out before then!

Joe is just as much a rude, spoiled brat .... he got all pissed off at Kay because she was giving all her attention to her baby that she had not seen in a few days and Joe has his "pants in a wad" because she is not giving HIM any attention ... :headache: AND as a previous poster said (I can't c&p on my iPad) Joe was pissed off about having to pay child support for HIS baby because he needs money for his music career .... are.you.kidding.me????? :headache:

They've been to multiple specialists at various institutions.

It appears to be a form of dwarfism, from what's been said, but no, there's been no pinpointing of what one, if that's even possible to pinpoint.

It's not rare that it's hard to pinpoint something and give a clear answer.

Maybe if they had all the money in the world to have someone screen for multiple specific genetic markers for multiple forms of dwarfism they'd hit on one, but maybe they wouldn't.

The geneticists' best guess was the form she tested for, and that wasn't it. As the woman from the geneticist's office said on the phone to her, there's no global test for every genetic disorder, so it's just about guessing at one based on what they know and then seeing if it's a hit.

They ruled out a bunch of issues, now it seems like it's dwarfism, but as to what type... :confused3 They're waiting to see how she grows to see if it becomes more obvious.

I don't think his issue is paying, but how MUCH he's paying. Almost $500 a month, when Kale has the kid ONE more day a week? That seems nuts to me. She has him four more days a month - and apparently Jo pays for Isaac's insurance and pays for his brother to watch him when Kale is at school. I have no idea how the court got to that number but I'd appeal that in a hot second if I were him.

I was wondering how they came up with that amount for CS as well. Yes, I know they have their little "formula" of who makes what, etc and Kailyn was saying well that's how much you would be spending if they were still together, it's not like they were married.
And also, did she tell them where he worked and how much he made and how many hours? of course it varies, but my exdh had to show pay stubs and he had to be there.

Years ago when I filed to custody and child support, I was actually asked this question about him paying child support when I went to go make the appointment for both: Why do you think he should have to pay child support? I kid you not. I was bewildered for a moment and she said oh we have to ask that.

Yeah, Kale didn't seem to get it. You're NOT together, dear. He's under zero obligation to support you in any way shape or form. He is under an obligation to contribute to the support of his child, but he's never seemed reluctant to do that.

I think the q. is maybe because a lot of people don't seem to get it. I've seen people (not posters here) saying that even if a father has the child more of the time, or if the time is split exactly equally, he should still be paying child support, because he's the father. Like... say what? Unless there's a major-league income disparity, just.. .no.

Support can be paid by either party. If both parties make roughly similarish amounts and have joint physical custody (50/50 time) there likely won't be any support order. The number of people who don't get that, or who, when asked the question you were, would say something like 'he should pay me because he left me for....' is sadly probably large.

Thoughts on the latest episode:

Jenelle: DANG! She has a roomy that is violent like her. Loved the way Reefer just would walk into the apartment, has he not heard of knocking? Also, did you notice after he left after he was supposed to be getting his things, that he left with nothing unless it was weed he had with him that had been stashed at the apartment, no bags, etc. lol and the girls were better fighters then the guys, it was like a wrestling free for all, lol.

Chelsea: no, wang a dang doesn't like you. concentrate on yourself and your kid, good grief the GED isn't that hard to study for, dust your shoulders off and empower yourself. She is so stuck on the fact her parents got a divorce and she doesn't want that for Aubree which I can understand, but who would want their parent to stay together if all that was going on between her and Adam? that isn't the "perfect" family. Then her first day at tanning salon she is asking about if alot of guys come in there, but then crying to her dad about adam. she didn't seem that upset when she was asking about if guys come in there.

Leah: Maybe I missed something, but if she only works 1 day, how does she think SHE can get a trailer? Was her mom and step dad intending to help her financially to do it? oh yea, they get paid, scratch that one.

Kailyn: wowsers, grinch aka Jo has to pay that plus a year's worth of back support is that correct? how is that possible? I mean they didn't leave Jo's parents house a year ago did they? Color me baffled.

And you know what ticked me off tonight? When she got the paper of his statement of contesting the amount. She was like "Isaac, your dad doesn't want to pay"etc. SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE-love your kid more then you cant stand your ex. I mean really, why share that with your child?

I know it's hard, but pretty soon Isaac is going to be a little memory box and know and remember what you are saying. and eventually all that mouth running will bite her in the butt. Every kid will find out if or which or both parent sucks on their own, they don't need trash talking. She doesn't like confrontation and does sneaky stuff as a result, the trash talking will surely be causing some sort of confrontation later on.

The after show: Chelsea was saying how Aubree is her best friend?what?! really?! I love DD13, but we're not best buds, we're close, but I can be her friend when she is an adult and no longer needs guidance. I"m thinking to myself" why put that kind of pressure on your kid?"

I have a strong feeling that Chelsea with her low self esteem will put Aubree in the position of being the parent when she gets older and try to have Aubree be responsible for Chelsea's happiness, does that make sense? She's just so clingy. It's honestly a shame.

Another color me baffled: So Barbara and Jenelle went to child support office and she has to pay 30.00 a week but has no "job"?
