What desserts will you have at Thanksgiving?

Recently got this e-mail from Carnival cruise lines for warm chocolate melting cake and thought I'd share:

Ingredients:

• 1 pound Dark Chocolate
• 1 pound Butter
• 10 Eggs
• 10 ounces Sugar
• 6 ounces Flour

To prepare:

• Melt the chocolate and butter. Mix the eggs with
the sugar and whisk for a few minutes; add the
flour. Combine the egg mixture with the melted
chocolate and mix. Then pour into individual
greased molds. Bake directly in the oven at
400°F for 14 minutes.

• Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and garnish
with fresh fruit. Serve warm with ice cream

I'm making pumpkin pies and oreo truffles...I usually overdo it and have 5 gazillion desserts, so this year I'm going easy. Relatively speaking.

I'm so looking forward to all of the Thanksgiving food!!

An apple crumb pie, Derby pie, pumpkin pie and I'm still torn between a chocolate pecan pie or a traditional pecan pie as well as either cupcakes or brownies. I love thanksgiving so I usually end up going overboard no matter how many times I say I won't.

No fancy desserts here since it will only be three people. Just a plain old fashioned pumpkin pie.

I'm also making Watergate Salad, which I guess can be both a side dish and a dessert.

In our family we all love to bake and make desserts so I am making:

Coconut custard pie
brickle (toffee)
rice krispy treats
Chocolate covered pretzels

My four sisters are making:

2 from scratch apple pies
2 from scratch pumpkin pies
Peanut butter cookies with Hershey kiss center
Chocolate cheese cake
World's best cookies (with coconut, chips, nuts, etc.)
ginger snaps
Rum cake
Apple cake

I am hosting 48 people for Thanksgiving so we need a ton of desserts!!!

Last I heard SIL and her mom were doing Pecan Pie and HM Lemon Cheesecake. I'm doing a Pumpkin Pie and 2 HM Egg Custard Pies. I might make rice crispier treats as well. They are one of my nephews favorites.

We are having:

Apple pie with oatmeal crumb topping
Pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting
Chocolate chip cookie Oreo brownie bars. Oh yes.

What a list of desserts! Where do you fit 48 people?

Homemade Oreo cheesecake, homemade peanut butter cup cheesecake, pecan tassies, and banana pudding.

Who measures flour in ounces??? Is 6 oz also known as 3/4 cup? That Carnival dessert is my favorite!!!

My husband and sons do not eat fruit and do not like pie. Sadly, I am restricted to non-pie desserts. So, I'm making toll house cookie bars. If I buy/make a pie, I would eat it all and I cannot do that. I soooo love blueberry pie. I wish I could find that for sale by the slice!
