What desserts will you have at Thanksgiving?

I made a pumpkin pie last night (frozen pie shell, so I cheated a bit.) We also bought a carrot cake from a bakery.

I made a pumpkin pie, a Snickers cheesecake, and pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting at the request of my three children. We have peppermint stick ice cream and gingerbread ice cream in the freezer, and there are some leftover mini pumpkin cheesecakes that I made for our preschool Family Feast on Tuesday.

I was planning to make a pumpkin pie but my realtor brought us one. I instead made a pumpkin cheesecake. I normally bake from scratch but Sur La Table has a delicious pumpkin cheese cake mix that I made instead. I think I just added cream cheese, eggs and water. It was delicious and a big hit. I actually got it on sale for 60% off. We also had a mixed fruit pie from Central Market.

Wanted to eat some pies but was very bloated and not hungry. But will try to eat some later.

OMG, that sounds fantastic!!! Can I come..... please?

Who measures flour in ounces??? Is 6 oz also known as 3/4 cup? That Carnival dessert is my favorite!!!

My husband and sons do not eat fruit and do not like pie. Sadly, I am restricted to non-pie desserts. So, I'm making toll house cookie bars. If I buy/make a pie, I would eat it all and I cannot do that. I soooo love blueberry pie. I wish I could find that for sale by the slice!
Professional pastry chefs apparently write recipes with ingredients measured by weight instead of volume all the time. I guess it's more precise and since baking is really all about chemical reactions, precision is very important. 6oz by volume does = 3/4 cup but by weight, a full cup of flour only = 4oz, so for 6oz of weight you need 1.5 cups by volume. (FWIW, I don't see the fuss about Carnival's melting cake - I think the raw batter in the middle is kind of disgusting.)
