What desserts will you have at Thanksgiving?

I am making a homemade pumpkin pie, apple caramel pie. My daughter will probably make some type of cookies. My youngest son makes a chocolate/oreo pudding pie the kids love. My sister will probably make my mom's fruitcake. (it's really a boiled brown sugar cake with raisins and nuts, no candies).

My MIL always makes pumpkin and pecan pies and my niece usually makes some sort of cake. But I threw a wrench in the plans when I insisted that I make a cake instead since Thanksgiving is my daughter's birthday this year. So now my niece is insisting on making the pies (she is 13) so no idea what kind of pies we will end up with. But the cake will be a marble cake with Nutella frosting per my daughter .

I do all the shopping so we will have

store bought blueberry pie,
Costco lattice apple pie
homemade chocolate pudding pie with homemade whipped cream
might make chocolate chip cookies

I'm not buying a pumpkin pie this year because it never seems to get eaten other than by me so I'm going with the apple pie

We were originally just having apple pie & birthday cake (its also my niece's birthday), but I just came back from Whole Foods & they had a 3 for $20 sale, so now we are having apple pie, cherry pie, & blueberry pie....& a birthday cake :)

I made 2 homemade pumpkin pies yesterday, husband took one to work today. The other is for tomorrow, along with a blueberry cream cheese pie

Baked a pumpkin pie today (for tomorrow). There's only 4 of us, so I'm taking the leftovers to daughter on Saturday. I'll bake an apple pie later.

No idea. I'll have to ask my mom.

I've had some epic dessert choices at casino buffets. The Cosmopolitan had a three hour line just to pay $50/person on Thanksgiving. Even after having my fill of 3 kinds of turkey, I think I pounded down five different desserts.

We bought a Costco pumpkin pie, and I'm baking a cranberry apple pie I heard about on DIS.

I just made 2 pumpkin crunch pies and toffee almond bars (to bring to our 2 separate family gatherings). My sister in law is bringing Cherry Delight and something called Chocolate Lasagna which sounds gross but will probably be good :). My mom will make a pecan pie and some candies. All homemade on my side of the family. On my husbands side my pie and bars will be the only homemade desserts and maybe the only ones period - they tend to make extremely bland food and never have enough for everyone.

My sister always hosts Thanksgiving dinner. I am in charge of desserts. I am making 2 pumpkin pies, 2 pecan pies, 1 apple pie, 1 chocolate pie, 1 strawberry cheesecake. My pie crusts are made from scratch.

TC :cool1:

Pumpkin pie--as much as I can stuff into the last open spaces in my overfilled gut. My fave.

Although, a co-worker brought a homemade pie to our office potluck. It was an apple pie with a cinnamon roll top crust. OMG!!!!! So good. If one of those magically appeared, I'd set off the smoke alarm as a diversion and run out the door with that whole pie for myself.

All pies are from our local farm market

Pumpkin pie
Cherry pie
Apple-cranberry pie
Lemon meringue pie
And
DD make a tray of brownies for the chocolate lovers

Mom is bringing pecan, pumpkin and I think blueberry pies.

My sister is bringing a cake of some sort-- probably chocolate.

I have a frozen Reeces pie, and I'm making an apple pie in cinnamon roll crust. (Really easy, and a friend brought it into work last week-- nice twist on a traditional pie crust.)

That should probably do the 8 of us.

We have about 15 people here for T-day. My mom made 3 homemade pumpkin pies and I heated up two frozen pies- raspberry and apple. We bought them from my daughter's cheer fundraiser and I have 4 more pies and a pumpkin roll in my freezer! Hope I can use them at Christmas.

I am being super lazy this year. I'm not cooking a turkey dinner. Blasphemy, I know. I'm making jambalaya and corn bread. Dessert is brownies or cake, whatever DD#2 decides to make. I'm in the middle of scrubbing down the kitchen, top to bottom, including fridge and cabinets....I just don't want to cook.

OMG, that sounds fantastic!!! Can I come..... please?

Who measures flour in ounces??? Is 6 oz also known as 3/4 cup? That Carnival dessert is my favorite!!!

My husband and sons do not eat fruit and do not like pie. Sadly, I am restricted to non-pie desserts. So, I'm making toll house cookie bars. If I buy/make a pie, I would eat it all and I cannot do that. I soooo love blueberry pie. I wish I could find that for sale by the slice!
I'd have to find a new family. Lol
