Just know, if the odds are not in your favor and you do end up with a booking issue, stay calm and work with them to find a replacement that you are happy with. You are not required to settle for what they offer, if it doesn't fit your needs. Don't be unreasonable, like demanding the Roy Suite at GF but have something in mind that would be an equal replacement for your family.

I was just about to say something very similar. If you were to encounter a problem, I think you mention that this happened to you on a previous occasion. They will work with you and appreciate your demeanor. But still...stop worrying it's gonna be a great trip. :earsboy:

Yes, so very true.

But really, I bet you get exactly what you booked. Hope you have a magical stay this time. One that is problem free.
thank you so much and as usual thank you to everyone here who is so willing to help each other.

I agree with most of what everyone is saying. I have checked to WDW on various days of the week over the last 24 years of onsite stays, although most were Saturday or Sunday. The only time we did not get the room we booked was when we were just stopping over at WDW for 1 night before an IOA/USO trip and that was due to a water main break.

As for the convention stays, there are renovations starting this year to expand, if I remember right. This may also impact the number of conventions at YC/BC for the next year or so.

Not sure if all the resorts are the same but when I did advance check in for an AoA room, they sent me a text by about 2 and let me know what the room # was and we just went straight to it.

Has nothing to do with the resort. All of the resorts can do this. It doesn't always happen, even if you do everything correctly in regards to completing online check in.

I work for Hilton and I'm going with Monday because that's our most popular day but I really don't know about Disney lol:confused3

For this trip we are checking in on a Tuesday and out on a Sunday. We normally come in on a Friday or Saturday, this trip is just different. I'm sure folks check in and out every day of the week.

If you get there and you find that this has happened again, which to me would be like lightning striking twice, I would just remain calm and ask that they help you resolve it. Remember that the CM checking you in has nothing to do with where you were assigned, but would be much more likely to help you resolve it if you are kind to them.

And seriously they flag hard to please guest? I'm not going to say I'm hard to please, but I have requested to wait for a room to be ready in the building I prefer at CSR if we are in a different building upon check in. Sometimes it's a go, other times not so much, but they have always been very gracious and at least made an effort for me. Wonder if that earned me a flag? I don't want to be the "oh here she is again guest"!

I think it's more of a "this guests has had X issue on this date" type of thing. In hopes that if they have the similar issue come up again maybe another guest can get the short straw, instead of the same guests again.

I'm sure there is something also that notes complaints, in a way to track someone who is a chronic complainer as a means to get something vs. someone with legitimate complaints. Like, does Guest X complain about noise in a Value resort every single trip, in hopes they can get moved to a different, higher level resort. That would be a flag as it could be just a ruse to get a better room for no additional cost.
That's the type of things they track.

I'm sure you aren't on any "lists" based on your requests.
