What can you take down to the pools?

Ok, so on our last trip, we just took our water bottles since our trips to the pool were shorter (an hour or so, here and there), but what can you take with you, food and beverage, if you plan on spending a few hours?

Since we are DVC, we usually bring our Tervis cups on trips and always have snacks and drinks in the room. I would NEVER take a full cooler or any alcohol down, but is it acceptable to take a soda or juicebox for the kids and maybe crackers or goldfish in the bag to munch on? One of the best things about DVC to me is being able to have the convenience of not having to go and "order" each time we want a soda or the kids just want to munch on a little snack between swimming.

We have and will continue to order a drink here and there, but it's the soda/juice/little snacks that I just don't know the proper etiquette for.

Thoughts??

You can take food and beverages, just no glass. Coolers are allowed at the pools.

Why wouldn't you take any alcohol down? I always have a small cooler with some cans of beer.

As are as I am aware you can take whatever you want down food and drink wise. Just be respectful and tidy up after and keep drinks and food away from the pool it's self.

We travel in various numbers for 2 to 3 weeks and usually have one or more small coolers at the pool with us (the ones that have a strap to go over your shoulder).

I can't understand why you are specifically ruling out alcohol. After a meal we often come back and sit around a quite pool at the tables having a drink of wine or beer. I actually don't know the last time we use the bar facilities other than for the unlimited refill cups when on the Disney Dining Plan.

We also have had Papa Johns pizza delivered in the evening at eaten it at the quiet pool. We have never had any issues or objections. Also remember some DVC resorts have BBQ facilities.

Yes, why not alcohol? DVC is supposed to be a home away from home. Having a few drinks by the pool is a big part of my trip and I would't want to give it up.

I will neither confirm nor deny that there was ever a margaritta, rum & coke, or bloody Mary in my refillable cup when I took it down to the pool.

The Condominium Rules and Regulations address this in that beverages may be consumed at the pools but absolutely no glass. That you are responsible for cleaning up after consuming the beverages and if anyone were injured from broken glass you will be held liable. That's it.

As a side note I just find interesting they even address suntan lotions and that you need to use towels or something else on the furniture in order to protect the attire of others who use the furniture.
