What attractions do you wish would come back?

I really want 20K Leagues back; I miss it even if it was a bit corney. I still remember riding it as a kid and well your perspective on things when you are little is completely different :rotfl2:

I may have told this story on the board before but when my wife and I were on our honeymoon (1997) we went to Magic Kingdom for the early open. We shot through the park and went all the way back to Small World without stopping, we were a little excited, so we rode Small World, after passing some astonished cast members, and exited and went looking for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. We went to where it had been and quizzed cast members as to where it was, we made it all the way up the chain of command before someone a cast member veteran said “that isn’t here no more folks”.

Then we went to Epcot the next day and were bargain t-shirt shopping and I purchased a t-shirt for the Brazil pavilion and did not think much of it, until guest and cast members started to ask me “Hey where’s that pavilion?” should have so kept that t-shirt.

Now fast forward to 2004 with my daughters first trip to Magic Kingdom was punctuated with her father saying al little to loud “Where the F&%^$ is the Skyway?” in the middle of the street. Dirty looks form parents and cast members until we slinked off to another land. I miss the good old days. :fish:

I'm reaching way back to 1981....before there was even an Epcot. I was 11, so my memory might not be so great (maybe I was dreaming). I seem to remember something (not a ride) futuristic. Maybe this was after Space Mountain (because I remember being too scared to ride it so mom and I just walked to the exit...or something like that). Anyway, there was several animatronic people showing you what the future would be like (or something like that) and then there was a big room that contained something like a duplicate NASA communication room. Again animatronics. Am I just not remembering things correctly?

If I could bring one ride back I would choose Horizons. It was always one of my favorites, and I was sad to see it close. I loved the orange groves, and the giant imax-like screens with the computer chip images.

I also miss the Main Street Electrical Parade. Don't get me wrong, I love SpectroMagic, but the Electrical Parade was so cool. I guess I would like to have them both!

I would love  the Tapestry of Dreams to come back!! That was my favorite parade, why does Disney take the good attractions away and replace them with bad ones??????? :confused3:

I have to make a comment about the residential street being gone. When I went on the backstage tour and suddenly realized that we were not seeing the houses, I was so upset. (Although I do like the new stunt show that replaced the houses)

The backstage tour is so boring now! I miss seeing the house from the Golden Girls! If they're not at least going to bring back the houses, then they need to do something the beef up that ride.

Not everyone agrees Tapestry was enjoyable. I couldn't stand this parade, personally, and was glad to see it go. I just found it sort of tedious.

I forgot to mention earlier River Country. I know it's not in MK and I realize it was a bacterial infection waiting to happen with the unchlorinated water, but I just loved this little water park. I wish there was a way to refurbish the now-useless area, separate the water from Bay Lake, chlorinate it, and re-open it with the same swimmin' hole theme it had in the 70's.

1. The original FIGMENT ride. The new one isn't even close.
2. Mr Toad (Shoot me, but we much prefered it to Pooh!)
3. Horizons

I also agree with other posters about River Country. It was a great place to spend an afternoon--one of our families best memories is a day at River Country years ago. It was a beautifully Disney themed lo-tech swimmin' hole!

I agree with River Country. I had only been there one time, but it was great. I miss Horizons also! I never got to go on the Alien Encounter  - too bad they replaced it. Forget Stitch - we really disliked it.

Every time we go to MK my husband speaks reverently of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Horizons, World of Motion, the Original Living Seas, Mr Toad, Cable Cars, If You Had Wings, America 360, Superstar TV, Animation Tour with real animators, Monster Sound Show, the original Backstage Tours, and the Electric Light parade.

A few things I miss:
Tapestry of Nations!!!
the living statues
the ride through the living seas
Millennium Villiage (Yeah, I know it was meant to be temporary, but it was a neat addition!)

Superstar TV was so much fun; World of Motion-seeing the cars circle around outside the pavillion took me back to seeing that at the New York World's Fair; Skyway; and I miss Future Corp (not an attraction, though)!
And don't get me started on all the resturaunts I miss.

The living statues
Alien Encounter
World of Motion
20,000 leagues
original Figment

20,000 Leagues
Mr. Toads Wild Ride
River Country

I also miss Discovery Island. I thought it was a really nice afternoon excursion - lots of shade and you could take your time and just have fun looking at the animals. I understand that is is redundant now in the wake of AK but it was much more relaxing.
