What are your go to restaurants?

We are a big fan of Biergarten. If you book a reservation for 6:45ish you can see both shows at 7 and 8. We also really enjoyed Sanaa on our last trip. Definitely worth the trip even if you are not staying at Animal Kingdom.

Late to this party...as usual...lol...

We have several must-do places. Not my choice, but my very regimented family's choice. They, 1 DH and 3 older kids, have their places they just have to eat at EVERY.TRIP. Ohana, Biergarten, Beaches and Cream, Yak and Yeti and Sanaa are some.
Next tier would be Cape May, Liberty Tree Tavern, Boma.

Then I like to mix in new places every trip but end up getting just 1 or 2, due to the above (must-do regulars).

But we too have been so many times, as DVC, we now kind of 'wing it'. I'll make ADRs for a few places, specifically the tough to get places and then we will change and cancel plans or just walk in or hit the MDE app and see what's available. I prefer the 'wing-it' style of vacationing.

Also, now that we are older and the kids may not be with us (either on the trip or at meals), DH and I are starting to try the signatures. He poo-poo'd them all the years of the kids being little. When we first started going to WDW, we'd get the DP and do 1 signature and pay out of pocket for 1 dinner. And then DH preferred the dinner shows as our signature due to them including adult beverages. So I only recently went to Cali Grill for the first time and it was to die for. We are going again in Oct. We have Jiko, AP and CG booked for Oct and plan to also go to Tiffins. And DH has mentioned Shula's too. Looking forward to it.

We always try a couple of new restaurants on each trip. Then pick a few of our favorites. We have eaten in over 50% of the restaurants there. By doing so there’s always something new on our trips. Plus you can possibly expand your favorites so each trip isn’t the same as the last one. Now we alternate signature dinning between Jiko and Artist Point so they never gets old. Then we choose a few of our favorites from

Saana
Kona Cafe
Wave... of American Flavors
Morimoto Asia
Raglan Road
Boma
Be Our Guest
Big River Grille and Brewing Works
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Cape May Café
Rose and Crown

I have eaten at so many places at WDW, and there are only a few restaurants there that I wouldn't eat at again - not that they were terrible, just don't have a great interest in going back.
So what ends up happening is that I make reservations around where we are staying and what we are doing on that particular trip, rather than having certain go-to restarants. For example, my husband and I are going to SSR for the first time (without the kids) and since this is in the Disney Springs area we are going to return to the Boathouse and also try a new one, Homecoming. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to make reservations for some restaurants that I love because of logistics. Having said that... I love to add the following in to my trips if it works:

Sci Fi Dine In Theater (a favorite for my boys)
Sanaa
The Boathouse
Chef Mickeys
Kona Cafe
Le Cellier

My husband's choices would be
Sanaa
Via Napoli
Le Cellier
Be Our Guest
Hoop Dee Doo

Quick Service:
Wolfgang Puck Express
Splittsville (surprisingly)
The bakery in Epcot's France
The Refershment Port (croissant do-nuts!!!)
Yorkshire County Fish Shop

I love so many but these seem to repeat often

Flying Fish
Biergarten
50's Prime Time
Chef Mickey's
Le Cellier
Via Napoli

I am soooo excited so many new ones have opened it will be hard to let go of favorites to try all new.
Had Ressie 2x for BOG but never made it there because all I could get was 8:30 and by then we were done with food.

'Ohana, Boma, Jiko, California Grill, Flying Fish and Narcoossee's. We're trying some new places this trip, Tiffins, Morimoto, Frontera Cocina, Paddlefish and hopefully The Edison if it's open by September.

My wife and I love Kona. The food is very good, and fresh and reasonably priced. Not the fanciest place in WDW, but solid every time. It blows the doors off 'Ohana, plus the lobby of the Poly is just cool.
Had a very good steak at the Yachtsman two trips ago. I think it's better than Le Cellier.
We've always enjoyed Kona over the years but noticed the last 2-3 times the service has really gotten SLOW! Waited very long for our food to come to the table a couple of weeks ago for lunch and it wasn't very busy

Boma, Be Our Guest, Akershus (breakfast), and Chefs de France are our must-do restaurants. We also try to include new restaurants, and we are trying 5 new-to-us table service restaurants on our next trip. We will probably try a couple of new-to-us QS locations as well.

Planning for our 7th trip and as our ADRs approach I feel like we are in a bit of a rut with dining. What are your go to restaurants? Do you try new places each trip?

Garden Grill, Be Our Guest, California Grill. We try to do our favorites and then add at least 1-2 new restaurants each trip so we can experience different stuff. It IS hard to skip the favorites though ;)

Breakfast at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom, Garden Grill at Epcot, and Crystal Palace at MK are favorites for us, as is lunch or dinner at Sci Fi in Hollywood Studios.

Well, I suspect just about every table service restaurant that has been open awhile has been mentioned as a "go to" in this thread. No surprise there...

We did 12 new restaurants this last trip along with our old favorites. Do yourself a favor and check out Art Smith's Homecoming at Disney Springs. YUM!!!

Same here! We have to go to Rose & Crown every trip - not that it's incredibly amazing, but it's tradition!

We go to California Grill to celebrate - typically the night after the marathon.

This month's trip DD had officially outgrown character meals. :sad1: She'll still attend, but princesses and Chef Mickey are no longer must do meals.

When we stay at AKV, Boma is a must.

Tokyo Dining is another go to, especially if we're having a tough time getting an ADR elsewhere. Service is always great, and the kids meals come in a monorail!
