Has anyone read anything by Elin Hildebrand? I'm almost done with "Barefoot" and really enjoyed it. If this is typical of her writing, I'd like to read another of her books. Can anyone recommend another?

I've read most, if not all of them. Yes, Barefoot is very typical of her writing. If you liked Barefoot, you will, in all likelihood, not be disappointed in any of her other books.

I'm reading Across the Universe by Beth Revis. It's a bit science fiction as it takes place on a ship heading for a distant planet. I really don't care for Sci - Fi novels but I'm really enjoying it and can't wait to get farther in and figure some things out. The tag line is Titanic meets Brave New World.

I finished, Murder in Retrospect. Excellent. I really enjoyed it. Great psychological mystery.

I'm reading Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy for the very first time.

That is one of my favorite books of all time! I read it with two book marks. One to keep my spot in the book and one to hold my spot in the end notes so I could find out about what Tolstoy was talking in some circumstances.

Bible. Never read it cover to cover before and I promised myself I would some day. I've read probably 70% before as I've grown up Chrisitan all my life but never stopped and read it completely.

Haha! I have to laugh because this sounds like the way I read Pride and Prejudice. Love getting the extra information from the annotated version. Since I've read the book many times, it adds something new to the experience.

I started Evermore by Allyson Noel this morning. It's a much needed break after reading Decision Points by George W. Bush. His book was an interesting read but very serious. I need some fluff for awhile and a YA book will do the trick.

Well, it sounded intriguing, but I ended up throwing in the towel. My motto is "Life's too short to read a boring book!" To me, it read like a textbook with practically every other sentence having footnotes and the constant need to refer back to a lengthy family tree.

Anyway, now I'm reading Someone Knows My Name by, Lawrence Hill and I'm absolutely loving it!

A little OT......does anyone know how I can check the balance in my account for E-gift cards that I looked on the Barnes & Noble site. I've bought a couple of books for my Nook with the gift cards that I loaded.

There is a place you can check your gift card balance, but I'm not sure if this is what I want.
