We are big gift givers in our family. So I am looking for some ideas to give for mothers day. So far I have a pair of skechers sandals. A pottery barn monogrammed jewelry box and probably going to put some jewelry in it. Photos and Frams are probaby going to happen for my MIL and Mom.
Can anyone else thing of something else to give? Thanks

We are really cutting back on gifts... both Mom and Mom in law are coming over for a cookout. Steaks are their gifts :teeth:

i'm not sure.. we were actually thinking about their christmas presents(we are paying for his mom,dad and us flights and hotels in las vegas)

i need ideas lol

My mom is nearing 80 and last year after my father died she gave away a lot of her things because she was tired of "stuff". So this year I have decided to give her things she loves and would truly appreciate. So I bought her two CD's (for her brand new 1st ever CD player), they are by a church acapella group, I just know she will like. I also got her a locket keychain and put a picture of her and DS in it. And finally I bought her some dark Lindt chocolate. They might not be "great" gifts in most people's eyes, but they are gifts I know my mom will truly appreciate.

Now for my MIL, I am totally stumped, have no clue what to get her. Maybe I will let DH decide!

I'm giving my mother a plane ticket and some spending money to go and visit my sister.

I'm not really sure when "Mathers" day is. Is it the Beavers birthday or something?

I'm considering a CD, a DVD, and a book (having went the clothes route last year).

If one lives in/near Bloomington, Indiana, and prefers spending a day rather than dollars, one could give his/her mother the "world"...

It took me awhile...................

I'm giving my Mom her first pair of Crocs
I gave my mother these last year. Now my father hates them because she wears them everywhere and I gave her red ones.
I will probably get her something for her garden. I'm giving her an apple tree for easter

My Mother is getting nothing. We have not spoken in over a year.

My MIL is getting a precious moments figure of a boy and it has DS's name painted on one side & Grandson painted on the other.

I thought it might be Eminem Day?

Haven't even thought about it yet. I'll get to it sometime in May.

We usually call her favorite florist and order some flowering plants, but since my MIL and FIL are trying to get rid of stuff in order to move into a new condo sometime in the next year, we should think of something else. Sometimes a gift certificate to one of the restaurants in town is good, since she gets tired of cooking. They have an Applebee's and a TGI Friday's, I think. Thanks for starting this thead, Mother's Day is going to be right on top of us soon! :goodvibes

A beautiful black and white striped shirt from Chicos. She wears a lot of solid red and this shirt is the bomb with red slacks! She'll love it!

I first looked and thought "oh no, someone made up another holiday to give gifts for!" but then realized what it was supposed to be LOL....
My mom gets tickets to a show for mothers day.....not like the cruise she got last year for mothers day..but can't have that every year LOL...

A Coach iPod Nano Case.
it's the signature print trimmed in pink.
She's going to LOVE it.

My sisters and I get my mom a gift card to the local nursery. She spends quite a bit each year. Her garden is beautiful! (and way too much work!)
