What are you getting your TEEN DD's THis Christmas 2013 thread

My daughter will be 16 in April and her birthday gift will be a trip to New York and we're coming back to Disney in June, so Christmas will be a little light this year. Her big gift will be Beats pill Bluetooth speaker. Also on the list.....Supernatural Series, Bath and Body Works, I-Tune cards, App store cards, boots, Sperry's, few pieces of jewelry and a little money to shop the day after Christmas.

The photo album idea is great! I might try it. I bought photo albums before but never got them together. I work retail so it is getting into our busy season.

My mom always does this for the kids when they graduate from HS. My boys didn't really appreciate it when they got it like they do now! My oldest really loves his now!

I did a search on amazon for a music box and found one that allows you to punch paper to make your own music. It was only $17 but I can't wait for her to open it as I think she's going to love it.

My DD14 is an outstanding musician too! can you share that item you reference above?

Thanks! That looks very cool! I will check into that. She plays piano and guitar with guitar being more her passion.

I love this thread. My DD is a Tween but lots of good ideas.

For those of you who mentioned your DD plays guitar, I bought this for my nephew and he loves it. It's a guitar pick punch.

I'm in the same boat! My ds (13 by Christmas) isn't interested in anything except an Xbox 1 which I told him wasn't going to happen. We already have the Xbox and a Wii, and I do not buy big console systems for only one kid in a house where there are 3.
He did just get a dirtbike so I am getting him all his riding gear, which he would get anyway so its not like its really for Christmas. Although, because of the cost it will lesson what else he does get under the tree.
So far I have the newest Minecraft lego sets. He doesn't really play with them but he has the first set on display on his bookshelf.
I'm renewing his annual Xbox live membership.
Probably a video game or 2.

My dd is 16 and a senior. I just got her a car this summer, so Christmas was supposed to be small. I was going to get her a new laptop for graduation to take to college, but hers decided to die about a month ago. She needs it for school and borrows mine, but I hate it when she does. I'm hoping to hold off until Christmas. Also her phone is on its last leg. She wants a new gold IPhone. I'm thinking that won't happen unless her dad does it. I'll likely add in a few gift cards, but with those 2 items and the new car there won't be much under the tree this year.

Just as a reference, for those of you with DD's who are really into geeky things like Sherlock and Dr. Who, I recommend and site called ThinkGeek.

I posted earlier but dd has given me a more complete list.

- A new iPhone 5 case. I got her the one she mentioned a few weeks ago, it's a pink Otterbox Defender. I'll see if I can find a few more cute ones for cheap. She changes phone cases like she changes socks.

-EOS lip balm. She loves them and they'll make great stocking stuffers. Got her 3.

-Unicef Survival gifts. We usually set aside an amount to donate every year but this year she wants some of her gift budget to go to help to.

-Skinny Sweats.

-The newest book in the Divergent series.
