What are you celebrating? Absolutely nothing! TR writing has commenced!

Heya, glad your back and glad to hear your Grandad is ok. Can't wait to see your pictures of the kids room. What exactly is the 23 thing? I have heard about it but have no clue.

I think the 23 thing sound neat but not only is it $75... they charge $50 for shipping to Canada!!!:scared1:

That first shirt is super cute though.

Hope your grandfather is doing well.:goodvibes

I'm glad you're still alive!!! I was beginning to worry!!!
Hope your grandfather is feeling better and recovering well.
I can't wait to see the finished kids rooms.
You're getting close to the 1 month mark, aren't you? How exciting!!!

Hi everyone! My grandfather is doing very well! He has been given the ok to drive again so everything is back to normal. I'm waiting for the carpet to get delivered for the kids' room, playroom and my bedroom. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be delivered and installed before vacation. My bedroom still has to be painted, but the delay is partially due to my father's crazy work schedule and partly to mine. I'm up to my ears in invitation orders - definitely a good thing. The kicker? They ALL have to go out before vacation!

On my list of To-Do's:
1) 30 Minnie mouse invites
2) another order of Minnie mouse invites - 100 of them!
3) 180 wedding invites with response cards, response card envelopes printed, mailing envelopes printed, monogram designed and printed on 2" square seals for petals folders. Begin design of menus, placecards, and programs
4) an order for 100 ceremony programs, 400 placecards, and 45 table menus
5) I'm 'on-call' for a couple who wants me to photograph the labor and birth of their daughter, due in the next 2 weeks. Yeah, you read that right. Someone actually wants me to photograph them in labor and while delivering.

With all this on my plate, I've been averaging about 4 hours of sleep a day for the past 1 1/2 weeks. I'm hoping that items 1, 5, and half of 2 will be completed this week.

With all this I decided that I needed to upgrade my printing so that some of it can be done in house - I still send offset and letterpress out, but now I don't have the digital printing costs. I bought this color laser printer!

It's still sitting in the box, taking up space in the foyer - I really should take a picture of it, it's taller than DS! :rotfl2:

In other news .... we are less than 30 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: And I have soooo much to get ready. In the coming days, I have to post a list of what I need to buy, do, pack, etc. I'm getting even more excited, but I feel a bit unorganized. With so much stuff happening - work, chaos of the rooms being redone,

So last year, DD wanted desperately to go on Goofy's Barnstormer. She was only 33" tall so no go. This year, she keeps looking at photos and asking me about the Goofy ride. She has grown, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will make it. Fortunately, she has a check-up tomorrow so I'll have her measured and if she doesn't make it, I can start to break the news to her now so there isn't utter disappointment on the trip. Will she make the 35" height requirement? Tune in tomorrow to see!

Oh and one last breaking newsflash before I have to get back to work ....
We have our airfare booked with Spirit. They've been adjusting the departure time for the past few months, a minute or 2 departure later, 10 minutes later. We were last at about 30 minutes later to departure when my father received an email alert from them. They changed our flight to 12:30pm! Yup 2 1/2 hours LATER than we were booked to leave! We should've been in Disney when they have us taking off! With Pop Pop (and myself!) furious, he got on the phone and changed our flight as this was unreasonable. They charge us to change our flight plans but they do whatever they please? We are now booked on the 1st flight out in the morning - 6:50am or so! A few more hours with the mouse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I apologize for not posting much and promise to catch up with your journals. I'll be back tomorrow! Oh and if anyone will be down when we are 4/21 - 5/8 and wants to meet - I would love to! Send me a PM!

Wow! I'm so glad you're still alive!! :rotfl: It sounds like your plate is FULL!! That printer is massive! How much do you charge for your Minnie invitations?

I can't believe the couple wants you to photograph the birth of thier child...eeeeewwwww! I remember my labor and delivery just fine, I wouldn't need photos to remind me!!

Woo Hoo! So I just bought a charter membership to D23.

Anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about - check it out here!

Are you 23, too?

Welcome Back!
I am 23 too. I bought the black t-shirt and the red men's polo shirt:laundy:. I also got in on the airplane pin before it got sold out.

Sounds like you are super busy!!

Glad that your flights are fixed and more time with the mouse is ALWAYS exciting! :thumbsup2

Wow you've got a lot going on! But that just means more money for Disney, right?

I hear Spirit is bad with switching the flight times! That's one of the reasons I didn't wait for a good deal through Spirit and booked SW! Glad you were able to get an earlier flight!

LOL! :lmao: Tonight, I'm planning on catching up on everyone's journals! I'm taking a "me-break" So when you see me posting at 3:52am, you know I finally got my break! :rotfl2:

Yes, I don't know why they want me to photograph the birth, I can see going and photographing the day the baby is born, but the birth

Send me a PM about the invites with how many you would need.

Yeah, I'm not happy with Spirit. I prefer Continental or Jet Blue, personally.

I took DD to the pediatrician this morning for her check-up. It was the first time in I don't know how long that she didn't cry - much! She told the nurse and doctor she was there to get measured for Goofy! :rotfl2: I had my fingers crossed that she would be tall enough - in Sept, she was only 33 3/4"

Will she be able to go on Goofy's Barnstormer?

The results are in ...

Weighing in at 29lbs 10oz

and 36 1/2" tall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:yay::woohoo::dance3::banana:

WE HAVE A RIDER FOR THE BARNSTORMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank God! LOL! I wasn't sure how I was going to explain to her that she wouldn't be able to go on.

Bonus - it was a shot-free visit :worship:

We're home, the kids are outside playing while Pop Pop is doing some landscaping when he sees that our koi fish have been stolen out of our pond. Yes. Stolen. Someone drained the pond between Saturday morning and this afternoon and stole the fish. I have no idea who would do this. It's awful, really. We've had those fish since my dad built the pond back in 2005. We bought the fish as babies and were each about 1 - 1 1/2 foot long. We've lost 7 koi and 5 comet fish. :sad1: We're not going to refill and replace the fish until after our trip. Since we'll be gone for so long, we want to be able to keep an eye out when we replace the fish.

I need to get back to work but I'll be back later! Had to share the good news about DD!

Yeah for your DD!! :cheer2: I took Emily on last May, she was 22 months and just barely 35 inches. She loved Goofy's Barnstormer! They whole time she squealed, "Weeeee!!" This year she's well over the 35 inches at a whopping 37.5 inches!! Still too short for BTMRR & Splash though :sad1: I'm thinking of getting her lifts!!

Woo-Hoo!!!! DD can ride the Barnstormer! I bet she is thrilled! :woohoo::woohoo::yay::yay:

That sucks about the fish.....who would do such a ridiculous thing?

I'm so glad your DD will be able to ride Goofy!! :woohoo:

I can't believe someone would steal your fish, that is just so wrong. I'm sorry!

Yay for your daughter!! What great news!:banana:

I'm so sorry someone stole your fish. That is just unbelievable.:sad2:

My dad suggested lifts for DD too if she didn't make it. He said that I would have to by her high heeled sandals! LOL!

She is thrilled! Watch she won't want to ride when we're there, right! :rotfl:

The fish we've concluded that it had to be someone who knew we had koi and large koi at that. They were worth $1200 - $2500 each.

I am glad your back. Sounds like you are very busy. I am glad for your dd gets to ride Barnstormer. :cheer2:

Thank you! I feel like I've missed so much, still trying to get caught up!

:cool1: :woohoo: :yay:Great results for DD :yay::woohoo::cool1:

Thank you!

Thanks. We're keeping our ears open to hear if any of the new/remodeled homes in the area are stocked full of huge koi. Usually when a large pond gets put in, the owner or whomever doesnt want the small babies swimming, they want the "show piece" koi. Not that we could prove they were ours, they didn't have tags or anything ...

Yay for your daughter!! What great news!:banana:

I'm so sorry someone stole your fish. That is just unbelievable.:sad2:

We called the police yesterday and filed a report. My dad felt silly when he said "I'd like to report stolen fish" At first the police officer asked if an animal could have gotten to it. My dad looked at him and said, "What animal hooks up the pond pond and drains out the pond to get the fish?" :rolleyes1

I really wish I had Cinderella's mice and bird friends or maybe Fauna, Flora or Merriweather's wands!
