It's a start! Painting my room should be complete by Thurs. The carpet is scheduled to arrive at the store on Friday and then an installation date will be set up.




We're getting haircuts today - I'll have to set up another one before we leave bc DS"s hair will need one in 3 weeks again - it grows so fast!

Anyone have any hairstyle idea pics to show me? I like to be able to pull my hair up, so I have to keep it to my shoulders.


I started shopping for the kids yesterday. I'm off to a good start, but nowhere near complete. Tomorrow we're heading out with Mom Mom for more shopping too. I took some pics of the purchases - I have to convert them from RAW and have them up later.

Thanks! It's getting there and I certainly feel better to have some things crossed off the list; makes it seem possible to get through it. Oh I do the same thing with the kids. It's much more fun to shop for the kids than I find shopping for myself and even after I say I'm done, I end up buying 2 -3 more outfits for each of them.

Right now I'm eyeing up some stuff for the kids on Gap.com - I see sandals I like on there, have to print out their size chart to see what shoe size they would be!

I was disappointed here - there was this beautiful yellow sundress but the sizes started at 4 - too big for DD. They didn't have anything in DS's size, the bathing suits start at 2.

Oh! I did get 1 thing for myself! Every trip I buy a new VB bag. This year, I wasn't thrilled with any of her new designs except the blue one and I got a mini hipster in that design for my mom for Christmas. So I didn't want to get the same one.

Around the holidays I saw this beautiful bag but it was waaaaaaayyyy too much money! $375! Ouch! I could buy 4-5 VB bags. After the holidays it was 15% off. Still too much. Then $280. Still too much. Yesterday I saw the bag still hanging up in Lord & Taylor. I went to oogle over it some more and saw a sign 50% off ticketed price. It was 50% off the lowest ticketed price! After some convincing (well, not much) from my mom and sister, I got it for $140! Still a splurge but it will (better) last a loooooonnnnnggggg time!

all the kids clothes are adorable! its so easy to shop for little kids but its easy to get carried away and end up spending way more money than you planned!
