What Are Gas Prices Where You Are?

The last time that I added to this thread was on Sept. 2nd when the cost per gallon here in central Vermont was $3.669. It's since dropped by 9 cents to $3.579 as of today. :thumbsup2

So, if I converted everything (liters to gallons, CDN $ to US $) about right, that's about $4.25 US per gallon.

Somebody please check my math!

That's what I come up with. According to the "gas temperature" map: http://www.gasbuddy.com/gb_can_gastemperaturemap.aspx it appears that Toronto and southern Ontario have the lowest gas prices in all of Canada. And Newfoundland has the highest gas prices, at $1.45/litre and more. Ouch!

Because of the high gas prices, we did not go to Canada (Québec) this summer. This is the first summer in 15 years that we haven't gone up there. We will be going to Québec next summer, but no WDW in 2009 :-(

Checking in from Central CT. It was $3.89 this past Sunday at the Gulf station at convenience store. Yesterday, same station was down to $3.67. Thankfully we did not see the spike to over $4.00 a gallon. Hopefully we will continue to see this "downward spiral" especially with the home heating season upon us. Too much with gasoline prices and home heating oil. OUCH

I live in a small town outside of Milwaukee, Wi and we paid 3.69 a gallon on Friday.

Most of the gas stations in Nashville are out of gas and have been for the last few days. Yesterday estimates were 85% of stations had no gas. Some shipments came in today and now around 60% have no gas. This past week I've seen prices ranging from $3.89 to $4.29.

What?? Why so many stations out of gas? Is it the afteraffects of Ike?

Yes, it is Ike. From what I've heard, the pipeline that supplies our area was shutdown. Supplies are coming in now, but not enough to refuel all the stations. The ones that have gas have long lines. I went to Costco this morning at 6:30 hoping to find some gas. They ran out last night, but there was a tanker truck refilling their underground tank when I got there. Waited about 15 minutes for him to finish and then the pumps wouldn't work. After about 15 more minutes, the attendant got the pumps going again, and I had gas. Yay! Hopefully, everything will be back to normal soon. But as of this aftenoon, the BP and Shell stations in my neighborhood are still without gas.
