We've lost some of our own.. *constant updates*

Me too. Was one of the girls really short, and one really tall?

It's been on the news here, too. That's so sad. Your dad is very lucky. Even though I hardly know you, if you wanna talk, I'm always here.

Today at the belk, Kailey and I met an old friend. With him were two girls that we didn't know. Little did we know that their father had died too in the fire. Mr. Tom (our friend) told us that later. They didn't seem upset. Just normal ppl in the Belk.
Wow. Like Jaimie and Jess said, how were they supposed to be acting?

It was on our local news. I watched it this morning. :/

No. I don't expect them to walk around sobbing. But, I know that if my dad died I wouldn't go shopping.

I heard about this a while ago. I remember thinking of a few people on here whose fathers are firefighters and wondering if they were effected. My love and prayers are going out to everyone involved. :grouphug:

My cousins husband delivered to that furniture store many times. I just found this out.

:/

The City of Charleston FD has suffered a great loss by losing 9 Firefighters. Those men who served there city till the end did great things for there community in ther off duty lives as well. They will be missed, and remebered. The brotherhood of firefighters has shown its strength this week in its fallen brothers time of need. Firefighters from across the world have come to the lowcountry to show there support and lend a helping hand.

The community has been great in showing there support of the local FDs in the lowcountry and the City of Charleston. I was working at the City of Goose Creek FD yesterday and a little girl who was having a hard time w/ the loss of the Charleston 9 stopped by our firestation. Since we protect her and her family she wanted to stop by and say thank you. She handed me a thank you card and gave me a hug, that was her way of bringing herself closure. Our community has been very gratefull for our services and we appreciate your support.

Please do not forget our fallen brothers and remember to support your local FD.

I knew quite a few of them. My dad's been at funerals all day yesterday, the day before, and he's even at one now..

It's ok. His last funeral was yesterday, I think.
