I'm sorry you're sick now too! Strep is the worst!! Every time it hits me quickly and I can't move for days! I know how awful it can feel, but the meds take care of it pretty fast! I hope you get better and enjoy your time on the couch!!

Disney VISA Character Meet!


I found out about the Disney VISA Character Meet on The DIS and I had no idea it even existed!! I was still confused about what and where it actually was, but I thought I had to go atleast check it out! We went hunting around the Innoventions areas and some how I went the right way and we found it! There was a poster outside of a small area covered in blue curtains that said "Special Character Meetings for Disney VISA Members." There was a CM standing outside the door and a family with three children outside the door. We got in line behind them and we were waiting for a long time before they even went in. We had to fill out our Disney VISA information on an information sheet the CM had on her clipboard. The kids came running out from behind the curtains sreaming with excitement! They told us we had to go in and play Hide 'n Seek! DH and I were confused, but we soon understood as we entered into the blue curtains.

There wasn't a character in sight, just two CM's standing to the side with Photopass cameras ready to go! Then, I saw the tip of Goofy's hat behind a wall! I took off over behind the wall and yelled, "I found you!" and gave Goofy the biggest hug! I then saw Minnie out of the corner of my eye! "I got you Minnie!" Minnie shrugged with disappointment, but where was Mickey!? Goofy & I went over to join Minnie and we saw Mickey hiding in the corner to our right! "There's Mickey!!"

It was so much fun!! I couldn't believe we had actually just played Hide 'n Seek with Mickey, Minnie, & Goofy! How awesome!!

We were a bit disappointed with the Photopass girls because they didn't tell us which camera to look at, so Minnie & I are looking at my camera and then DH & Goofy are looking at the Photopass camera. We were a little upset because the whole point of the Disney VISA Meet is to get a free photo and none of the photos they took turned out well at all. They only took three and they were all bad!

The worst was in one picture, Mickey is actually hitting me in the head with his ear!! I got smacked right in the read and all the action is in the photo! It hurt too! That is one hard ear! Mickey felt so bad! We kissed and made-up!

I guess DH was busy doing some kissing too!!

The Disney VISA Character Greeting was a great experience and I will go back again, so I can get a good free photo! Now, I know what to expect and will make sure we get a good photo! I can't complain because it was free, but...

Then, music began to play and it became a backstage dance party!! I'm not even kidding!!

It was so awesome!! There we were getting our groove on with Mickey, Minnie, & Goofy!! I couldn't believe it!! Mickey & Minnie were really getting into it!!

It was finally time to say good-bye and we were so sad to leave them, especially my little Mickey. There was an older couple outside waiting behind us and they had aslo heard the kids say we had to play Hide 'n Seek before we could meet the characters. DH & I walked out from behind the curtains and told the couple, "They were right! You're going to have to find them!" They looked so confused and I didn't say another word!

Hi all!!

Just wanted to drop a line outside of the Trip Report to let you all in on the info! It's been very hectic lately with all the house stuff, moving quotes, illness, and the holidays quickly apporaching! We are in the process of hiring a moving company now! It's AMAZING how much it costs! It's gonna wipe us out!

We will be closing on the house January 8!! My Mom & I are going to make our way down to Florida on January 9, which is also DH's 27th birthday! I told him he's getting a great present...a house!! My Mom & I are going to be busy in the empty house for about 6-days painting and getting it ready for the furniture. We are planning on the furniture being delivered on the 15th. My Dad is going to fly in to Orlando the day before the furniture arrives, so he can help too! Exciting!! Exciting!!

DH is actually going to be stuck in Charlotte until March and maybe longer because of his job. I'm hoping he can get to Florida soon, but we just don't know yet! My Mom, Dad, & I will drive back to Charlotte the last week of Janurary, so I can finish packing and getting things wrapped up in NC. I also have to get my other two wisdom teeth out on January 29, so I'm going to stay home a week after that with my parents to recooperate, since our apartment will be empty!!

Then, my Mom & I are going to drive back to Florida, so we can go to the "Pirate Princess Party" together at the MK!! I can spend some quality time with my Mom before she has to leave her little girl in Florida. I'll be in Florida alone for awhile, until DH can FINALLY come to his new home! Hopefully, he can visit on some weekends!

It'll give me time to then begin the job-hunting process with Disney!! I am very busy and very excited!! I'll keep you all posted and I'll post pictures of the house soon!! Oh, and I called today and booked ADRs for another Mother/Daughter Afternoon Tea! My Mom will be so thrilled!!

Evening at Epcot
Candlelight Processional


It was a beautiful evening and I was so glad we were able to enjoy it at Epcot! We decided to spend the rest of the our time exploring the World Showcase! It was all decorated for Christmas and it was really getting me in the holiday spirit!

I really wanted to see the train in Germany! I knew DH would love that! I had never seen it before and didn't even know about it. The DIS is so helpful! We even found the hidden Mickey hiding out in the Castle!

Well, you can't make a stop at the World Showcase, without going to America! We decided to go see the "American Adventure" and I knew DH would love it! Inside the "American Adventure" was just gorgeous and we were even joined by the Carolers! We all joined in and sang some Christmas tunes! I just love the holidays at Disney! It can't get any better!

We were planning on seeing the "Candlelight Processional" this evening, but it wasn't going to start until over a hour from now. We couldn't believe how long the line was already! They had been waiting for two hours or longer and there was no way I was going to stand there that long! We decided we'd come back about 20 minutes before it began and hope we could get a seat!

We went over to my favorite stop at the World Showcase, which is Norway! I love the ride and all the trolls! We waited in line about 25 minutes for the ride and then I had to make a stop at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe! I had heard some amazing things about the School Bread from the DIS'ers and I had to give it a try! I have tried other goodies there, but never the School Bread! I was really missing out too! The School Bread was so yummy! I am now hooked!

We sat outside the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe and enjoyed the beautiful view and my yummy treat! It was such a fantastic night! It was time to hurry up and wait for the "Candlelight Processional!" We got in line and waited for about 20 minutes and we were really afraid we weren't going to get in! The CM had told us we would make it in, but it was looking like it would be a close-call! We lucked out and were the last bunch to be let in to enjoy the event!

It was such a beautiful stage and all of the trees were twinkling with white lights! It was just so perfect! We were pretty exhausted once we sat down and the "Candlelight Processional" was long. I think it was about a hour, but it was so worth it! The Boys were also very excited to see the show and we're hoping they could join in singing some Christmas Carols!

Our special guest for the evening was David Robinson! You know him as the famous basketball player from the San-Antonio Spurs! He was a wonderful speaker and was so happy to be at WDW as part of the magical event!

Wow, the next few months are hectic for you - but soooo incredibly exciting! I'm sorry about your medical woes and the impending time away from DH - BUT you have a new house, AND you have a WDW trip and a Disney cruise coming up. So I'm very jealous. : ) I can't wait to read THOSE trip reports!!!

I'm still loving your current TR! I saw a Disney Holidays special on Travel Channel the other day and it showed that Epcot display that you said you liked a lot - it did look very pretty at night!

I hope you got to eat some good food today!!

Yeah, very hectic! I am excited about finally being settled! I've at least once a year for the past 5 years, so I am ready to call a place home! I know DH is too because are apartment is just a storage room and has been for 7 months. We are ready to get out!!

They really showed the "Peace" Epcot display!? Neat!! I did get to eat some past last night! Oh, I can't wait to write those trip reports either!! Lots to do! Lots to do!

That's great that you had a good Photopass girl!! I was shocked to only see 3 photos taken and they were all not good! I was thinking...that's the best photo opportunity ever and you only took 3 photos!? Usually they are snapping that camera like crazy!!
