On a lighter now, I was contacted by two families on sittercity.com (This site is where I found my full-time babysitting job!) to interview to be their occasional weekend babysitter! I'm very excited!

:woohoo::woohoo: Yay for the ONE MONTH mark!!

Congrats on the potential sitting job! Good luck with it!

Thanks!! The closeness of the trip is almost causing a homesick feeling in my stomach b/c as fast as the trip has gotten closer the faster it's going to be over. :sad2: Ugh!

I am meeting with the family tomorrow evening. :) It would just be when they wanted to do date night or had a party/wedding to attend.

Thanks!!! I have my interview tomorrow evening and Greg's is the end of next week. :)

There's so many exciting things going on here...One month dance :banana::banana: a raise :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: a job opportunity for your DH :cool1::cool1::cool1: Wow!

I'm loving all of this sleeping in! I wish I could make myself do that at Disney because I sure do love it at home! And, I really like your idea of the hot tub after the dessert event/Illuminations. It sounds like the perfect way to end the day. :thumbsup2

We really have been blessed this week. It is really ironic how it all happened, too. We just heard last week that Greg's brother got laid off and his wife isn't working ATM and my heart went out to them. They have been married not 3 months and to be faced with that challenge really made me think twice about the difficult situation we were in. As soon as Greg and I talked about how lucky we really are to be able to live in a nice home in a nice neighborhood and both have full-time jobs, it seems like we were blessed. Greg's interview is at the end of next week and if it doesn't work out then at least it's experience. I am interviewing with a family tomorrow night to be their occasional babysitter which will give us some more cash for fun things. The raise I was given pays for my gas every week and that means we have more money in the bank. :thumbsup2 BTW-Greg's brother was unemployed for less than a week as he found another job already! Yay!

I "opened" my Etsy shop but won't be giving out the link just yet because I want to get a couple of tote bags on there. Right now, it's just 3 crayon rolls.

I know I can sleep in on vacation even though we're at Disney. If I don't, I'll come home and crash and burn and it will take a couple weeks to recover from vacation! I don't want that! :lmao:

Day 8

We are getting up bright and early this morning! We have a 9am ADR for Crystal Palace. I’m so excited to try the puffy French toast and chocolate Mickey waffles!
(I have a question, will we be able to get into the park, at say, 845? I don’t want to be fighting the crowd to get to CP. If we have to, we’ll do it but I’d rather not.)

The plan is to stay at MK the entire day. We would have only been there one other time the entire trip! (Which I'm not sure will be the case when we get down there!)

We will leave MK by 815 to head over to the Poly for our last ADR of the trip…Ohana! I am so excited for this and not even for the meat. Give me appetizers, sides, and dessert and I’m set. :thumbsup2 I think this will be the perfect ending to our trip. We can talk about our trip and talk about things we want to do next time!

After dinner we will take the Monorail back to the MK and get a bus back to CSR. We’ll get back late and I’m hoping to have already been packed.

We’ll head to bed to spend our last night on Disney Property until next trip. :sad2:

The End.

Since there isn't much to this day I'll just post our last day now as well.

Day 9: This is REALLY the end of our trip! Wahhh!

We are going to get up early again today. We will take care of our luggage and then leave our carry-ons with bell services. I’m hoping to get to MK around opening. We’ll have breakfast at Main Street Bakery and then ride our favorites before heading back to CSR around 12. Our flight is a little after 4pm so I’m assuming our ME bus will be around 1pm. I know I’ll be tired this morning but I also don’t want to spend our last morning dawdling around wasting time when we can be at MK for a few hours. Now, that I think about it, I think this may make it that much harder to leave!

We will have lunch at the airport. Our flight lands back home around 600pm and I’m thinking we be walking in the door to our house around 900pm. We’ll go right to bed. I’ll leave the unpacking and laundry for Monday/Tuesday.

The End.

MK & Ohana sound like a great way to end your trip!! :goodvibes Doesn't it make you sad writing about it... and you haven't even gotten there yet!

I knew about the puffed french toast at CP but this is the first I'm hearing about the chocolate waffles! I can't wait to try those! :thumbsup2 I'm not positive about when they'll let you in the park since technically your ADR isn't before the park opens, but I would think they would let you in early to get there in time. I know most parks have a separate entrance for the breakfasts. I would definitely give it a try!

Day 8 sounds great, dinner at Ohana's should be good, love the meat there :teeth:

Not long now :yay:

It' amazing how sad it makes me. :sad2: I'm definitely so excited to go, though. At this point, it's mostly my excitement to see my cousin. I was at my aunt's block party last night and usually she's right there along with me the entire night and she wasn't there. It was really sad. :sad2:

Can you believe that I haven't had a SINGLE Mickey waffle to date? I'm definitely changing that ASAP! I feel like I read that they don't really look up the time for your ADR just want to make sure you have a confirmation number. I just want to get in there at like 845. :)

I know Greg will enjoy the meat very much.

I know! It creeped up on me. What's funny is that I feel like I already have the vacation ending blues and we haven't even gone yet. I am definitely the type of person that needs to have a vacation planned before the next one is even here. Luckily, we already have an idea where we are going for our 2nd anniversary in May. :thumbsup2

I wanted to let you know that I just found a whole podcast on what to do on rainy days in Disney World. It is on the Keys to the Kingdom podcast from 8/26/10.

Here it the link to her website. If you can't get there, you can download from iTunes.

I know what you mean, I don't even want to think about departure day :( So with you on planning the next one already. I am so itching to book our Cruise already

Day 8 sounds great -- love me some puffed french toast (we are going here for breakfast on our last day too). We've never done Ohanas for dinner...one of these days. I don't even like to think about the "last day" and probably why I'm stalling on my PTR.

It is something fun and exciting to look forward to and it often is something for me to look forward to when I've had a hard day. :) I definitely want to do a Disney cruise one of these days. If only to go to Castaway Cay and eat at Palo.

party: less than a month to go!!! party:

Your last few days look great. :goodvibes

:banana:Woo! Thanks. :) Just think, this time next week-you'll be IN Disney World!

I hope that everyone is having a fantastic Labor Day weekend. :) Friday night Greg and I went out to dinner at Olive Garden and we had a wonderful time. It was a nice treat!

Saturday Greg had class in the AM so I slept in a little later. In the afternoon we went to the Fall Fest our town is having this weekend with my DSIL and DFIL & DMIL and walked around. It is primarily a craft fair (with over 600 exhibitors!) with a carnival, beer garden and food "court". I love it. I picked out a few things for Christmas presents from my in-laws. Including a photo word mat that spells out DISNEY and has a Mickey head! It is going to look SO cute hanging on the wall. Then we had a nice dinner with them at a local pub.

Last night we went to my aunt's annual block party and had a great time! We had a bonfire and just sat around, had a few drinks and talked. I love my aunts! :)

This afternoon we went shopping for all of the things we needed for our trip! It was successful! :) Then we went over to Greg's parents house for a cook-out. We ate way too much food and now we are just relaxing on the couch!

Tomorrow Greg and I are going back to the Fest b/c we didn't get to see even half of the booths as it was too crowded. :thumbsup2

Did I mention how awesome the weather has been this weekend? It actually feels like Fall. It is supposed to be warm again tomorrow, though. :sad2: I'm ready for the cooler weather.

Sorry for rambling, but we really did have a great weekend and it's not even all the way over. I love our family and it is so nice to spend time with them. :)

Did/do any of you have get-togethers planned for this weekend?

Sounds like a great weekend! We had really beautiful weather here yesterday too! A perfect night to sleep with the windows open! It's supposed to heat up over the next couple days, but only for a few days. I'm ready for fall weather too - it's just been so hot this summer. And I'm sure the fact that I have a fall trip coming up might have something to do with it! :rolleyes1
