We've FALLen for WDW...An October 2010 PTR! New 10/14 TR Link Added

What I am looking forward to NOT doing on vacation!
-I WON’T have to pack 10 lunches and 5 snacks.
-I WON’T have to drive to school 15 times.
-I WON’T have to wait at the bus stop 10 times.
-I WON’T have to take the girls to gymnastics.
-I WON’T have to ask the kids to get dressed 30 times. (That’s an estimate but pretty accurate.)
-I WON’T have to cook dinner for 9 nights.
-I WON’T have to clean ANYTHING.
-I WON’T have to do ANY dishes or empty the dishwasher.
-I WON’T be on the computer AT ALL. (Sorry guys, I’m one those “technology doesn’t exist while on vacation”.)
-The thing I am most looking forward to? I WON’T have to “wait” on anyone. No I don’t mean waiting for someone to do something. I mean serving somebody. The kids I babysit can be demanding and I am at times-a pushover. Definitely solidifies the fact that it’s best for Greg and I to wait to start a family for a few more years. :lmao:

QUESTION: What do you look forward to NOT doing while on vacation?

COMING UP: My Top 10...What am I looking forward to on this trip?

Good question... I just did my top ten I'm looking forward to, but hadn't thought about what I'm looking forward to NOT doing...

For this girls only weekend, I'd say I'm most looking forward to:

* Not playing referee
* Not cleaning up after anyone
* Not having to keep track of everyone & all of their stuff

I don't even have any children and I can completely relate to all of yours! :rotfl:

I look forward to not having to do laundry, clean, or answer a Sara alarm (how our residents are supposed to let us know if they have an emergency, but most of them use it to ask for things like juice or to turn off the AC :headache:).

I'm also looking forward to not having to deal with the CTA. I know people complain about the Disney buses, but, honestly, I like them better than the Chicago buses :lmao:

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who cleans the house before vacation! We still have a month before we leave and I'm already trying to get the house clean! We moved in a year ago and things just kind of got shoved where ever and it's all stayed there. So this past weekend I started trying to purge some of it....if it's been there since we moved in (March 2009) then obviously we don't miss it or need it!

Thank you for reminding me about the vacation hold for mail! I totally forgot that I could do that! I was going to have my dad stop and pick it up for us but I'll just put it on hold!

Your Etsy shop looks so nice! :thumbsup2 congrats on getting it started!

QUESTION: What do you look forward to NOT doing while on vacation?

- NOT getting up at 7am to go to WORK (but getting up at 7am to go MK/AK/DHS/or Epcot is TOTALLY acceptable!)

- NOT loading/unloading the dishwasher

- NOT sweeping birdseed off the floor twice a day

- NOT cleaning litterboxes

- NOT making ANY meals!

- NOT driving anywhere! (except to the airport and home!)

I like this list! We always think about all of the things that we are going to do on vacation, but I don't see a lot of "won't" do lists! :thumbsup2 The thing I like not having to do on vacation is thinking about going to work the next day!

Not doing laundry is nice but I think I'm actually doing laundry this trip so I didn't want to add it to the list.

I know Greg would say not driving anywhere either and not having to go to work.

I think I am going to try to put a hold on my mail online. If not, the post office isn't that far.

Oh yeah! And no cooking, and NO NIGHT SHIFT YAY! :lmao:

No cooking! I like cooking but after working all day-it's not fun.

I love that feeling, too! Gosh, 9 nights of not sleeping with not having to worry about getting up for work the next morning. :cool1:

Good list! Enjoy not doing all those things soon!

Thanks! :)

Loving the list of "I Won't"

For us its mostly not looking forward to having to work :)

It's crazy when you think about it. We work and work week after week and what gets us through is knowing there's a vacation in our near future. There's just something about it I can't explain. :goodvibes

MY TOP TEN DISNEY TRIP LIST

10 Days! Can you believe it? I know I can’t! The butterflies are beginning to form in my stomach. It’s getting harder to sleep at night because of the building excitement. Just 10 days from now we will be in Disney World just beginning our 8 night adventure that includes plenty of relaxation, lots of food, and some Disney Magic!

10. RELAXING, in the hot tub at the end of a long park day…

61200003.jpg

All along my plan was for Greg and I to get massages towards the end of our trip. However, we just can’t afford it right now. I think coming back from a long day at the parks and going to the hot tub, if only for a little bit, will be a great way to relax. There’s a comma after relaxing for a reason-I want to make sure we relax this trip and I mean it. If it means less time in the parks then so be it. I know a lot of you are probably opened mouth right now wondering why I am going to Disney if we want to relax so much. That’s just it. That’s WHY we’re going to Disney. We like to relax on vacation but we also like to go out and do things.

Come back tomorrow for my number 9 and more importantly my SINGLE DIGIT DANCE!!!! Ahh!!!!

I completely agree on the relaxing! For so many, Disney vacations are go-go-go all the time. We like to slow down and relax, though. Whether it's spending time and the pool, lounging in the room, or just enjoying a nice long dinner. There are lot's of ways to relax! I hope you take advantage of all of them! :goodvibes

I know I've said this a bunch of times already but our last Disney trip was GO GO GO all the time! Looking back, I regret doing that-A LOT. On our honeymoon, we just took it slow and did whatever we felt like and I want to recreate that. The first thing we did when we got to Disney on our honeymoon? Took a nap! :rotfl: It was heavenly. :cloud9:

HAPPY TEN DAYS!!!!!!!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Wooooo!!! I'm even more excited for tomorrow because SINGLE DIGITS! Then 8 days, 7 days...you get the picture.

Yay for ten days!!

I never thought it would get here but it's nearly here!!! :)

Anyone care to join me in a single digit dance? YEA!

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Just some tidbits on what’s going on in my life. Everyday until Monday is planned, so the next 4 days are going to fly by. Today after work, I’ll pretty much come home and eat dinner and then go babysit for the evening. Tomorrow after work we are taking my sister to a mall about 45 minutes from our house, then she is staying the night. Saturday I am getting my hair done and then we have a housewarming party to go to for my DBIL and DSIL. Sunday is church and then packing our clothes. I pack for Greg, too. I’m excited to pick out all of my outfits! Monday begins “cleaning” week-washing the floors, vacuuming, polishing, cleaning the bathrooms, etc. My house will be SPARKLING when we leave-such a good feeling to come home to.

On to number 9 on my list...

9. ATTRACTIONS-Specifically Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and FOTLK (I know it’s a show).

Splash.jpg

When I think of attractions at Disney, those listed above are what come to mind immediately. FOTLK made me tear up last trip so it holds a special place in my heart. I get giddy while riding Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates-I’ve never felt the way I do on those attractions at any other theme park-ever.
