We've Bounced Back like Tigger SB09 TR NEW 9/11 CLOSING TIME....

Thanks to everyone :thanks: who has read, looked, lurked and said hello to me and my family during this wonderful PTR/TR time spent here on the Dis...

this was my 2nd go at doing one of these and I have to say it was w/ complete success :thumbsup2 I have had fun getting to know you (as hopefully you have me), I've made new Dis friends and became closer w/ others :grouphug:

I will be taking a short hiatis from the boards w/ the exception of checking in on my current PTR and TR's that I'm following (you know who you are) as I re-focus some of my free time to my Scrapbooking hobby and to my new BLOG and special projects I'll be doing...

so for now I bid farewell....

Final thoughts and Good-byes…

Memories of our Journey…

The weather was cool back home (Chicago) in the low 50’s when we left and was in the mid to high 80’s when we arrived in Orlando.

What I remembered most about our trip was the great character interactions and experiences we had at the Princess Breakfast, Sorcerer Mickey and the “Character Explosion” in the Studios and so many other wonderful friends we met for the first time like Mary Poppins and Sully & Mike.

We experienced mostly wonderful accommodations for Michael and his needs throughout the 4 parks w/ using the GAC again. It was a wonderful way to ring in my Mom’s birthday at Disney and the awesome b-day Fast Passes! I also loved watching Spectro, Aldine and Sergio juggling in Italy, never can get through a whole WDW vacation w/out once breaking out the ponchos…and finally the DVC tour and our decision to buy into BLT!

The best things about the trip was how much Margaret enjoyed herself from swimming, eating, and having fun w/ the characters (in comparison to just 10 months previous in June of ’08 she didn’t want near anyone or the water and ate grapes and goldfish for a week). How Michael loved pin-trading and the great social outlet that opens up for him, Aldine and Matt so enjoyed taking all the pictures of Josefina throughout WS, and finally Mae how she loved learning and experiencing different things this trip..it's like she growing up just a little bit more each time we come.

Things we missed this trip were:

ANIMAL KINGDOM

Festival of the Lion King

Pictures w/ the Characters in Camp Mickey/Minnie

Getting a closer look at the Tree of Life and walking trails by it

We skipped Nemo show

The Parade

Looking in the shops….ok just about everything

DISNEY HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

Action Stunt Show

HSM Pep Rally

HISTK playset

Eating at Studio Catering Co.

Me-RnRC

We skipped B & B show and MV3D

And looking in some more of the shops

EPCOT

Looking thru Canada

Several of the shops and smaller parts of the Countries in WS

Living w/ the Land

Innoventions

Disney Visa Meet & Greet

Clammobile ride in Seas

Matt-MS

MAGIC KINGDOM

Meeting Fairies

Dumbo

Train ride around the park

Opening show

Wishes in front of the Castle

We skipped Mickey’s Philharmagic Show

What we for sure want to do again! (things that were new for this trip)

AK

Eating at Yak & Yeti Mart YUM!

DHS

Arrive for park opening and see opening show (get a better view)

Walk thru One Man’s Dream

If we could ever time it right again for the great character meet & greet we had in the Animation Hub

Drawing Academy

Fantasmic

EPCOT

Go during F &G Festival time again

Checkout the extra area after the SSE ride better

Early morning breakfast

Shows in the countries (live entertainment)

Have snacks from the Norway Bakery

Kim Possible Mission (try again for earlier in the day)

MK

Have an early morning breakfast (not new) but love to do!

TSI try going early in the morning…look for brushes

What will NOT do again (or at least for the 2010 trip)

AK

Arriving mid day-too crowded

Train ride to conservation station

DHS

Me try RnRC this trip instead of ToT (even though that is my fav, but I’m a single rider)

Skip beginning of the AT (boring)

EPCOT

Universe of Energy

MK

SFRTH (unless we can walk thru w/out grumpy guests)

Tiki Birds ???

And my final thoughts from the words of my kids:

Mae (age 6): My favorite thing today (Epcot 4-1) was…”mom buy alis (Alice) costoom” (costume) and The thing I didn’t like today (AK 3-31) was…”I Got lost” and The country with my favorite food is “norWay” (remember she had chocolate pudding for a snack) and my favorite ride in AK is “Sar Free ride” (safari ride)

Michael (age 10): Daily Details from March 26th (our first day) “I got up when it was pitch black, I watched cartoons at the airport, and I went to the gift shop.” And What I learned today (3-27) “my Tarzan pin from 2005 is rare” and My favorite thing today (Epcot 3-28) was…”spaceship earth learning about history” and what I learned today (same day) “spaceship earth is not a roller coaster” and The funniest thing about the trip was…” Jelly beans from Ja-Ja”

Aldine (age 10): My favorite thing today (MK 3-27) was …”going on Big thunder Mountain Railroad” and Daily Details…from Epcot 3-28 “We went to the countrys, we had lunch in Morocco, we went to Italy, and we took pictures of my doll at all the countrys. And we helped Kim Possible save the world in Germany” and What I learned today (DHS 3-29) “you can still have fun even if your plan does not work out” and What I learned today …”is Disney World is super cool”

Margaret (age 2): “I ilke Didney Word”

And now it is time to say good-bye to all my friends….M-I-C- see you real soon-K- E-Y- why because I like you….M-O-U-S-E! :mickeyjum

Since August of 2008?! I'd need a break too! I'm actually surprised I've stuck with my daily DIS as long as I have this time. I've never done that before. I know I will probably want a little break, but by the time I finish my TR I will probably be in full planning mode for June. I might take a little break, though. I don't blame you. Glad I'll have your blog, though. :goodvibes
